PAPER PURSES

Good morning, welcome back to my blog and I hope that you enjoy your visit with me. This week I am featuring a project that is a first for me. Paper Purses, there are lots of tutorials for so many different versions of this project. So, are simple and others are more extravagant. I chose to do a very simple project but, I love how it turned out. I made two different sizes and the first using 1 6x6 paper . The paper used for the 3 smaller purses is from Basic Grey and are from 2 very old collections. The second was made using 1 single sheet of 12x12 paper which is from Bazzill card stock. Please let me know what you think. the embellishments are all from my stash.

If you want to see a little more about these purses check out my YouTube channel. I would love it if you followed me there.

Well, these are my projects for the week and I hope that you will return again soon to see what else, I have created.

SATURDAY CHALLENGE OF FRIENDS 2

Good morning bloggers, I have a busy weekend ahead of me and can't wait to get started. But, first I want to get my card posted. This week is another of our "Saturday Challenge of Friends" . It is a challenge with one of my friends where every other week we have to make a card or project with certain requirements. This week we had to have more than one fold. For my card I chose the "Joy Fold card". I got the tutorial from "Splitcoast Stampers. If you want to know how to make almost any type of card this is the place to go. You can see my video of the card here.

The card stock is from Bazzill and the design paper is from Graphic 43 the Couture collection 6x6 pad. the Bling is recollection and the butterfly is from Heidi Swapp, I sprayed it with the  Heidi Swapp spray in Teal. The embossing folder is from Spellbinders and it is on of the 3D m-bossabilities. Love it, the embossing is so deep. I inked the top of the embossing with Tim Holtz distress ink, faded jean.

\
I used the embossing folder again. I just love this design. The sentiment is from a stamp at Michaels, was a set that I got from the $2 bin for 80 cents.

This is another Michaels stamp from the $1 bin. the bling is from my stash it was the last little piece. I really love how this card turned out. I have always liked the little surprise inside.

It's been a long time since I posted any of my projects. It just seems that there is not enough time in the day for all of things going on in life. I hope to get back to blogging on a more regular basis. There are lots of things that I want to share with you. My creativity has gone in many directions so some of my post will be out of the norm. I still make cards but I enjoy art journaling and altering projects. But, I am also going back to my love of scrapbooking and will be sharing some of my layouts here also. Project life has become a big part of scrapbooking and I will be giving that a try too. So stay tuned and I hope that you enjoy the journey.

Todays project is a birthday card that I made for my daughter this year. It was made using an image of Scarlett from Bugaboo Stamps. The  card was made using the corrugated card base from Recollections and the image was colored using my copics. The card stock is bazzill and some scraps from my left overs. There was some stickles involved and bling from my stash.

HAVE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY

Good morning, it is the perfect day for crafting. It is raining out and I get to stay in and play for awhile. Love it. I have a lot of projects that I want to work on and so little time. Today I have a gorgeous card that I have made for my second oldest granddaughter who is going to be 18 in a couple of weeks. She will graduate from high school in May although, she finished all of her classes before Christmas. She loves red, lots of bling and flowers. So, the card was made using the corrugated cards from Michaels as the base and the card stock is bazzill. The designer paper is from a Valentine pack from Recollections. and a sheet of paper that I have had in my stash from the Paper Studio. The bling is recollections and the flowers are the Paper Studio bought on clearance after Valentine day. Just because a paper comes out during a holiday it can always be used for other occasions.

The image is from Kenny K and was colored with copics E00, E13, E09, E11, E15, R05, R24, R27, Y28 N2, N4. The image was matted using a Sizzix die.

The stamp on the front of the card is from a clear stamp set and it is stamped on a punch die from EK success, the inside stamp is from Hobby Lobby. The lips are from a valentine set of embellishments. Well, that is it for my card.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Good morning bloggers, today is Wednesday and I am home playing in my craft room. The reason that I am home is that we have had some major cold snowy icy weather. I live in Alabama, and this has been enough to shut down our city and most of the state. There are people who have been stranded on highways since early yesterday. There is ice and snow everywhere. And no it was not a blizzard like you have seen in northern states. We only got maybe 3 or 4 inches of snow in most places. The problem is that it has been very cold here and that made the problems worst. Usually if we do get some snow it is gone within an hour or two. Not this time. So, I got a free day to play.

My card today is a birthday card for my oldest granddaughter.

The papers that I have used are PRIMA ( Natures Garden). I love these papers. the card base is the corrugated card board from Michaels, the card stock is Bazzill, The flowers are also from PRIMA. The die cuts were cut with a Sizzix die. The bling is from Recollections. The Kenny K image was  colored with Copics E00, E11, E13, E09, E15, E18, G21, G24. I used the Wink of Stella glitter pen to go over the clothes. I love these pens. Well, that is it for my card and I am off to get it ready for the mail. And then I will be working to finish my December daily. Which, I will be posting soon.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Ok, it has been awhile since I last blogged. Life has been super busy and then there was the car trouble. Who wants to buy a new car, I don't  so I have to keep this one running. Has anyone noticed how life can change in a heart beat? And you are unable to control the change. So what do you do? Well, I try to go with the flow and not get to stressed out about it. I also try to remember that life is precious and you don't want to waste it. So enjoy it all that you can.

Today I have a Christmas project that I am going to share with you. It is a faux toilet tissue roll mini album and instead of using toilet tissue rolls I used 6x6 pieces of bazzill card stock to make the base pages, I used K and Company and My minds eye DP to cover the base pages. and all of the papers came from my scraps except for the card stock. The tags are from my stash, I used a 1" punch to make the tabs on the tags. I used my cinch to bind it and the ribbons are from my stash. The die cuts are all from K and Company. The tags were inked with Tim Holtz distress ink fired brick.

I really love how this turned out and it was very easy to make and did not take very much time at all.

I colored the image with copics E11, E13, E23, E09, Y32, YG11 and a Martha Stewart glitter pen on the bows and the butterflies, the butterfly punch is just a small one from my stash.. The papers are from Basic Grey Wisteria paper pad. I have had this pad for several years and the piece used makes me think of a field of flowers. The card stock is Recollections and the metallic blue is Bazzill. The stamp is from the $1 bin at Michaels. The bling is from my stash.

My card this week is an easel card made with Bazzill card stock and the background paper with the houses and chicks on it I got at Michaels. The two stamps came from the $1 bin at Michaels and eggs were made with a punch that was in my stash . All of the bling was from my stash and of course I colored Sophie and the eggs with my copics. SPRING TIME/EASTER

Good morning, I am here with a short post. I had a chance to play with Tilda and decided it was time for a little more springtime. This is the first time that I have used so many stamps and images on one project. I wanted to make a scene look like a park. The tree is a Penny Black stamp (splendor 3977H), the tulips are Magnolia as is Tilda. My favorite place to shop for Magnolia Stamps is Magnolia-licious Online Store, the owner Diana Crick is wonderful and so is the service.

The bench is from Sugar Plums. The eggs are a stamp from Craftsmart, bought in the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby. I used the Martha Stewart punch floral vine and Spellbinders curved rectangles. The card stock is bazzill. The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is a digital freebie, I forget where it is from. The bling is from my stash.

All images were colored with copics:

Tilda- E00, E11, E13, E09, E25, G21, G24, G12, Y13, Y15 and spica lemon and mint glitter pens
Tulips- Y13, Y15, Y17, Y19, Y21 and spica lemon/buttermilk glitter pen
Chick - Y13, Y15, Y35
Eggs - RV06, RV19,RV21 and spica pink glitter pen.
The bench - E25, E27, E29

Well, that is it for this card. I will be entering it into the following challenges. I hope that you have enjoyed your visit. I will return soon.

BROWN SUGAR EASTER CHALLENGE # 32

TGIF, aren't you glad that it is Friday, I am. It has been a busy week for me and I have only had a very little time for creating. And since it is Friday you know I had to create something for the Brown Sugar Challenge. this week it is Easter. During this time bunnies are a big part of the theme (although I have never been sure why). But, I have chosen a cute little bunny to make my project from.

I haven't done a lot in pinks lately so I used that as my main color. The image was colored with copics R20, R21, RV11, RV06, RV21 and I used atyou spica glitter pen Pink. The happy Easter is part of the image. The buttons and twine is from my stash as is the bling and ribbon. The DP paper is Colorbox. I inked the edges of the image with distress ink victorian velvet. I liked the faux stitching on the rabbit and just highlighted it with the glitter pen. The card stock is bazzill. Although you really can't see that.

Now that you have seen my creation, go on over to Brown Sugar and join in the fun. The rest of the team is  listed on my sidebar and they would love it if you stopped by for a visit. Have fun and we hope to see you soon.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

The image is cupid from Tellen's Place Designs. The wonderful artist is Terry's son, Markus. Tellen's Place is no longer up and running, but the images are still fantastic.

The gold paper is recycled  Christmas wrap, it is some wrapping paper that I confiscated at our department Christmas party. It is heavier than most wrapping papers and when I saw it I thought, "hey, I can use that on my cards". So as people were unwrapping their dirty santa gifts, I was grabbing up the paper before they could ball it up and throw it away. So I ended up with lots of it. I embossed the paper with the Cuttlebug hearts embossing folder. The bling was bought last year in the Hobby Lobby clearance sale. The sentiment is something that I wrote on my computer. I used the Dahlia Nestabilities as the background for the cupid. And it was Bazzill paper that I cut with it. They have been in the clearance isle for a couple of months and I was just waiting them out before I bought anymore. The image was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, E53, R24, R27, R29, Y28, spica red glitter pen and gold glitter pen.

NEW BEGINNINGS

Since this is a New Year, I thought that my first crafty post of the year should be about new beginnings. So here is a card I made for a new baby. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and it is a card that I made for my daughter to give to a friend of hers. I really love the simplicity of this card and the new mother was thrilled.

.The image was colored with my copics E11, E13, E09, E15, V04, V12. I used the spica lilac glitter pen and the Cuttlebug baby embossing folder. The card stock is bazzil. That is it. So, I am going to keep this post short because I have some crafting to get back to. There is no work today and it is raining. I have all day to do whatever I want. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.

THANK YOU WITH MUSIC

Good morning, I am so happy to be here posting another one of my projects. I have to say that I really did miss not being around for the last few weeks. I have so many new projects that I have not posted yet and will be glad to get them out there.

A couple of months ago when my daughter started her masters in nursing program, she pledge with the nursing soriety. She asked me to make a card for a lady who teaches music and who had worked with her group to teach them the song of the soriety. This is the card that I came up with. She wanted it to be music related and I finally got to use some of the music related products that I have bought over the last couple of years.

The card stock is all Bazzill, the music paper is from the Paper Studio, the embossed musical sheet is from cuttlebug, the piano is from Magnolia a part of the New years set from a couple of years ago. It was colored with copics and I used C1, C3, C5.  The thank you stamp is from a set that by The paper Studio. music and the symbol is from a musical set of stamps and I forget who made it.
The embossing on the inside is also from cuttlebug, it is their thank you folder.  The thank you sentiment is from Inkadinkado, I think. I will check this out and come back and update. I really enjoyed making this card and my daughter loved it.

One of the new challenge blogs that I have started visiting is having a DT call, I think that I would like to try out for it, Fashionista Challenge Blog. This is going to be my entry.

HALLOWEEN FUN

Good morning, life around here is very hectic at the moment. I am already dressed and ready to head out in about 40 minutes. I have to go an visit a friend who is here for a funeral. It is a sad time but, it will be really good to see my friend for it has been almost 2 years since the last time. I am still working on my projects for the craft show on November 3rd. My it is right around the corner. And our beach trip is coming up next week and I am no where near ready for either. I will be working double time once I get back home. And I still have all of the house work and grocery shopping to get done. I really need a personal assistant to work some magic.

But, today I have a new card and it is a Halloween card. I was going through my digital images recently and came across this one. It was drawn by a wonderful artist (Markus) who was responsible for all of the Tellen's Place Design images. When I was on the Tellen's Place design team, Markus drew likeness of all of the DT. this was the second one.

I call her WITCHY ME and I think that she came out great. I colored her using my copics and my favorite colors at that Purple. Over everything but her skin, I used my lilac glitter pen to give her some sparkle. My card base is Bazzill, the lighter purple is Bazzill it is the shiny one. I used my Martha Stewart punch. the DP is from my stash. the ticket sentiments come from different companies and right now I don't have them in front of me.
And you know it has to have a challenge.

HEY FRIEND

What a week I have had. Busy at every turn and still not quite ready for the craft show. Time is running down and still there are things that I want to do. So, I will be working through this weekend and next and after that it is what it is. But, right now I have a new card to post and then I must get back to work. My daughter recently called me and said that she needed several cards and would I make them for her. Of course I said yes and one of them was for a friend who is moving out of state.
I decided to use a Tellen's Place image. And though they have closed their doors, I will use the images for ever. The artist is very talented and the images are fantastic.

And since my daughter loves purple, there is lots of purple, even though some of it looks blue in the photo. It is all in different shades of purple.  The image was colored with my copics BV00, BV02, BV000, E11, E13, E15, E09. The flowers were punched with a flower punch from The Paper Studio. I used two different sizes. The sentiment is a $1 stamp from Michaels and it is stamped on a die cut using Spellbinders and the mat behind the image is from the same set. The card stock is bazzill and the DP was found in my scrap file, I think it came from a mat stack by DCWV. The bling is from my stash. Well that is it for this card. So much to do. But, I do have a few challenges to go with it.

TRICK OR TREAT

Hi everyone, time for a little paper play time and I can't believe that I actually slept until 7 am. I never sleep that late. And I have so much to do. Need to work on more cards for the craft show. And a couple of little projects to finish for my scrapbook groups trip to the BEACH which is coming up really soon. Just a three more weeks to go and we will be having 4 lovely days at the beach. SOOO much fun to be had. Good food, shopping and more shopping and a little scrapbooking thrown in for good measure. I am so excited.

But, for now it is time for a little Halloween fun. The project today is going to be a part of a Halloween layout for one of my granddaughters scrapbook pages. I thought card at first, but I am going to add a couple of photos along with som new halloween paper that I got on clearance at Michaels.

It is not a scarey project just very cute, the image is from Tellen's Place designs which sadly is no longer up and running. I do love their images and I miss Terry very much. Hi Terry, if you are out there.  Her name is Alley she is out for a night of trick or treating. During her travels she runs into spiders and Dracula and pumpkins and bats, But, she heads home with lots of goddies and a smile on her face. Isn't she a cutie. I popped her up with large pop dots. I made her a little goodie back to hold all of her treats. She is colored with copics E00, E11, E13, E53, YG63, H17, YR15, YG03, YG91, YG95. The base is Bazzill, dracula and the spiders were cut from a sheet of DP. I think it is some that my daughter sent me. So I don't know the brand. the trick or tream and boo to you are and spiders are all die cuts from my stash The moon and the bat are also just leftovers from my stash. Well, that is it for my project.

I am still trying to find time to get my anniversary candy together and posted. It may have to wait until November after the craft show. Right now there just is not much time. But, don't forget that I still have the Tim HOltz candy waiting to be given away. You can click here to join in with that one.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Good morning, I have been so busy trying to get ready for the craft show that I am participating in that I forgot to post a project yesterday and I also forgot that my 3rd year blogging anniversary is fast approaching. Can you believe it has been almost 3 years. I sure can't. So stay tuned, I need to think a little bit about how I want to celebrate it this year and I will come back and announce it just as soon as I can.

I am going to keep this post short, I have to get back to my card making and I only have one more month to do it. Today my card is a birthday card that I made for one of my co-workers. She has only been working with us for a short time, so I thought that this would make her feel welcome. We had been without anyone in that position for several months and I was truly glad that we finally found someone that worked out.

I really do love the Bugaboo Stamps. Jodie is the artist and Scarlett is one of my favorite characters. she is such a diva. So stop on by and see Jodie, I bet that you will find something that you will just love. The image was colored with copics and  E11, E13, E09, E15, E71, YR02, YR00, there were a couple more and of course I can't find my list.  The sentiments were stamped with a new stamp set that I bought at Hobby Lobby on clearance, I embossed with the cuttlebug birthday embossing folder. The papers are Bazzill, don't you just love that peachy orangey color. The bling is from my stash. The corners were done with my corner chomper (the scallop side).

GET WELL SOON

Here I am again with another post. This time it is a get well card that I made for my boss a couple of weeks ago when she was very ill. She is now better and she loved the card.

Stella is from Bugaboo Stamps, I love Jodie's images and she has lots to choose from. I colored with copics E00, E11, E21, YR06 and since she is a nurse I did not have to color her uniform hat or shoes. I punched the sentiment with and EK Success punch and the sentiment came with the image. Soo perfect. The papers are Bazzill. There are a few challenges.
