CHRISTMAS TUNNEL CARD

Good morning, I am back with another post (wow 2 in 2 days). This is a Christmas card with a twist. It is a tunnel card. Never heard of them. Well until a few weeks ago neither had I. That is what I love about being a DT moderator at the Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack every week I get to make a new and different card. This week it is the tunnel card. Now when I read that on our schedule, I thought ok here is another card that I am not going to get much use out of. It sounded like it was going to be difficult with lots of pieces. It wasn't. It was actually quite easy to make. And it gave me a chance to get one up on my Christmas cards. And the really easy part is that I did not do any coloring of images.

This is the tunnel part of the card. I used the Nestibilities scalloped oval for my cut out. The stamp is from a Penny Black set that I bought last year and the flourish is from a different set. The paper is from last years DCWV Christmas pad and the card stock is Bazzill and the Paper Company.

And this is the finished product. The ribbon is from my stash. These papers are left over from the inside of the card and the center piece is from Recollections. Well that it is for this card. So easy and I am off to make a couple more. Yes, there are a few challenges.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Good morning fellow bloggers. It is so good to be back with another post and this time I am thinking Christmas. My plans were to be at least almost finished with my Christmas cards this year. So to get in the mood, my project for the Card Making group over at Stampin' Dymonz this week was to make a Purse Card and I decorated it in a Christmas design. Not bad for a first try.  We would love for you to join us at Stampin' Dymonz there is a lot going on, we have scrapbooking, cards, swaps of all kinds and there is so much talent in one place that it is scary sometimes. Stop by and make your self at home. You may meet some old friends or you just might make some new ones. I did....

Hi every one, what a great Saturday today has been. Not a lot of errands to do. And knowing that my vacation to Las Vegas is fast approching makes me happy. My daughter is taking me on a all expenses paid vacation. The only thing I need money for is anything that I want to buy for myself. Isn't she wonderful. So, I am busy getting my things together for this and having a lazy day at home. crafting.

I just finished the Kenny K 1st Anniversary Blog hop, it has 23 stops on the way back to Kenny K's challenge blog. But, the trip was well worth it. There are lots of fabulous prizes and some of the DT also are giving away blog candy. But, the new images are wonderful. They are Kenny's take on some of our celebrities. You should really take a look see. I can't wait to buy mine. The challenge for that ties in with the blog hop is Anything Goes and it is good until July 23rd. If you love these images as much as I do you should really join in. sooooo much fun.

My card today is using 2 of the Kenny K images. Holla Girl and the love teddy bear which was a freebie. It is called a joy fold card and this is the first time that I have made one.

The embossing is from the Art Deco set by Cuttlebug. The sentiment is a $1 stamp from Michaels. The star bling is from my stash. The copics used are E11, E13, E23, E51, E53, E81, R32, E50, Y00, Y02, Y04, Y15 and Y28. The shiney embossed papaer is from Walmart. Card stock is Bazzil. The ribbon is from my stash.

The bling flowers are from my stash, the glitter ballons were bought at Joann's and are from K & Company. The birthday stamp is from a set that I bought on clearance at Hobby Lobby.

RETIREMENT (TIME TO HAVE SOME FUN)

Good evening, it seems like a long time since I posted anything new here, but life has been really busy. I don't seem to get much time for blogging although I have been really busy with my DT duties and creating new things. I recently started remaking my office/craft room and will show it off once I have my storage all set up. The painting is done, the furniture has been moved around and I have removed a couple of pieces and replaced them with a more functional storage system. So very soon it will be finished.

Today I am going to show a retirment card that I recently made for a friends aunt. She loves cream and lavender and you know that was right up my alley. Two of my favorite colors with bling. The image that I used is from Bugaboo Stamps her name is Scarlett and I think she is very much a diva.

The image was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, E23, E25, E51, E50, E53, V15, V20, spica glitter pen lavender, wild orchid roses, Sissx floral die, the sentiment was typed on the computer. the bling was from my stash and I used my Cuttlebug and embossed the inside with one of the art deco embossing folders. So as you can see, I really have been busy. I have about 7 more cards yet to preview. I have played with clay and started a real art journal. I have played with dragons and magicians and I will be showing all of these things over time. So don't give up on me. I am still around and working hard. There are a few challenges that I want to post this card for.

I am a moderator for the Card Making Group and each week we make a different style card. This card was so very easy to make and it was a lot of fun. It is also interactive.

I colored my images with Copics, I stamped my plain white card stock with a Studio G stamp using memento inks. The green card stock is Bazzill and the ribbon and brads are from my stash. The directions for this card can be found at Splitcoast Stampers.

BABY SCRAPBOOK PAGE

Good morning, today I am back with a new post, this time it is a scrapbook layout. I  have so many baby pictures of my grandchildren and just not a lot of time to get the work done. The layout for this page was one that I did at a scrapbook class and it has been sitting in a box every since. I loved the technique of stamping with versamark ink and then brushing on Perfect Pearls (the colors are so gorgeous) and once you brush off all of the excess powder, spray with a fixative (finally figured out what that was and bought some at Michaels yesterday), let dry and the page is ready to add your photos and embellishments.

MOTORCYCLE MAMA

Hi all, I am so late with this post, I had planned to do this yesterday and then this morning. But, I have been busy creating for the last few days. And I just did not feel like sitting at the computer typing. It is to hot here to be out side unless you just have to be. It has been 90 to 99 degrees everyday for the last week and we are expecting the same thing for the coming week. this heat just sucks the energy from your soul. It is a good thing that my employer freezes me out during the day. Two extreme temps every day. Who can take it. Well, enough about the temperature. Lets get right to my card. My sisters birthday was the end of April and I made this card for her. I am always teasing her about being a motorcycle mama, because my brother-in-law rides a bike and she rides with him. She has a complete outfit helmet, chaps, leather jacket and gloves. so I decided to send her a card that fits the image. She loved it and then asked me to make a card for my brother-in-laws birthday in September. The image that I used for this card is a Kenny K image and it is called Spy Girl.

The image was colored with copic E11, E13, E25, E53, E87, C5, C3, V06, V09, V04, V12, W1, W5, W7, spica glitter pen lavender and lilac. Glossy accents on the motorcycle, The paper is Bazzill, the bling is from my stash. The inside stamp on left is Studio G and on the right is (I will have to dig it back out and check). There are a few challenges.

SMELL THE ROSES

Good morning, I am here with a card that is not for any special reason or occasion. It was made as part of my DT duties at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack, this weeks card is the stair step card, the directions can be found at Splitcoast Stampers. It is probably one of the easiest cards to make and can be decorated anyway you like. Over at the Scrap Shack I am a moderator in the Card Making Group and this last month has been great. I have made 3 cards  that I had never done before and revisted this one. I have made several stair step cards in the past. I really enjoy trying new designs and it definitely takes you out of your comfort zone.

I don't know why I never use these colors together very much, I think this is probably only the second time that I have. The combo of the two are really pretty together. I used 3 Martha Stewart punches, the roses are all from my stash. The card stock is Bazzill and a lot of the pieces were scraps. (I am working very hard to make my scrap pile smaller. The butterflies were punched with a Marvy punch and colored with spica glitter pens, pink and melon. Both stamps are from the dollar bin at Michaels and colored with copics RV06, RV04, RV11, RV21, RV34, G12, G21.

Well, that is it for now except for the challenges. I hope that you have enjoyed your visit and will return soon. There is much more creating to be done.

MY FIRST EVER SLIDER CARD

Happy Saturday and I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. I am and it has been a busy one. Out by 7 am to Walmart to pick up a few things for the house, back home work on a couple of cards. Back out to my Weight Watchers meeting, I was only up one pound after having to nerve blocks over the last couple of weeks, so I was quite happy with my self. Leave the meeting head off to Michaels for some more Bazzill cardstock, it is on sale this week for 3/$1. I did not have all of the colors. and it regularly sales for $.69 a sheet. Across  the street to Sams Club to stock up on my fruit and vegetables for the week and back home to work on cards a little more. My friend Pam says that I make her tired just listening to me tell her about my morning. Did I tell you that was all before 11 am. I was back home by 11:30. Oh well, on to my card.

This card was made for my DT position over at the Stamping Dymonz Scrap Shack it is similar to PCP and others. It is small and just getting started over the last year. I am having fun being one of the  moderators of  the card making group. Each week we make a different type of card and this week it is the slider card. The directions can be found on Splitcoast Stampers. I have to say that this is one that I had to try a couple of times. I was just not happy with my first color, I scored one wrong and it was off. and I don't think my slider is working very well. I will definitely be making another one in the near future. I do like the look of the card and it is totally different from anything that I have ever done before. You should try it at least once. Two things though, don't cut the half circle to low and don't cut it through the whole card. #2, when cutting the square notch to put the plastic, you should cut down deeper so the plastic does not show.

I look at these pictures and realize that I should have changed my white balance on the camera. It would have gotten rid of the blue tint and my brown would have look more brown instead of black. I really hate rushing to get things done.  I colored the image with copics YR14, YR21, E59, Spica glitter pens, peach, orange and chocolate.

A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY CARD

Wow, I am back with another post. 2 in one day. This one is a card I made for a friend to give to a lady at her church. She had seen another one of my cards and kept asking my friend about them. It seems she really loved the one she saw and she wanted one for herself. So my friend is giving her this one for her birthday in a couple of weeks. The image is one from Tellen's Place Designs and just because I no longer design for Tellens, I still love the images and you will be seeing even more of them in the coming weeks. I love the DIVA images they are easy to work with and the women that I know love getting the cards I have made with them. There is a little diva in everyone of us.

I think that this card turned out even better than I could have imagined. The DP papers are from Making Memories and it is from their black and white pad 8x8. Which is one of the last few things that I bought at Tuesday Mornings before the tornado. The image as I said before is from Tellen's and it was colored with copics E09, E11, E13, E15, RV02, RV04, RV06, I used spica glitter pen pink of the scarf and shoes. The flowers are from 2 different sets by Prima and I love that they had swiss dots to match my papers. I put stickles on the flowers after layering 3 deep to give them shine and sparkle. The clear bling is from my stash. I used 2 stamps from a clear set on the front of the card and on the inside is two different stamps used. The sentiment stamp on the right is from Stampendous and the celebrating you stamp is from Michaels dollar bin. The black and pink cardstock is from Bazzill. I used Spellbinders Nestabilities labels 10. and ran it through my Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder. I also used one of the art deco embossing folders from Cuttlebug and the swiss dots folder. As you can tell, I love embossing. Well, that is it for this card and yes I do have a few challenges.

SPRING TIME BIRTHDAY

Good morning everyone, I have a new card and some sad news. At least sad for me. This week I got the news that Tellen's Place was changing its format and with the direction that it was going  they would no longer need the services of a full design team. I am now out of a position. I will be looking for a new team to work with and if any of you know of anything I will be willing to listen. When I started blogging Tellen's Place was one of the first blogs that I joined in with the challenges and from there it led to a position on the team. Terry is a wonderful lady and it was a pleasure to work with her. I love the images that her son draws and I will continue to use them on a regular basis. You can visit Terry at the new format and still get the images you love at Tellen's Place Designs, there are lots of new designs and she will have blog candy and even a few challenges. I will be joining in myself. Thanks for a great opportunity Terry.

My new card is another Kenny K image and it was created for the oldest granddaughter of a friend. but, I think that it gives a feel of Springtime with the Basic grey papers (from the Wisteria pack). I love the dragon flies in the background, the flowers are Prima and the bling is from my stash. I used the Cuttlebug spots and dots folder the the card stock is from Bazzill. I colored the image with copics E00, E11, E13, E25, E42, BG93, BG95, BG10, W3, W5, YG61 and the spica glitter pens melon and mint. The punch is Martha Stewart and the ticket sentiment is from a set sent to me by a friend. The sketch is from Lollipop Crafts.

I embossed the inside with one of the folders from the Cuttlebug art deco set and the stamped sentiment is from Stampendous.

SPARKLE AND LACE!

This card was a winner at "Craft your Passion".. Anything Goes Challenge #52

Well, another Friday is upon us and that means it is time for another Tellen's Place challenge, the challenge this week is Sparkle and Lace. So get out your glitter, bling or anything that sparkles and your lace and then stop by for a visit with us. The DIVAS have been really busy and have come up with some fabulous designs. You can visit the other DIVAS by clicking on their names on my sidebar or by clicking on their pictures on the Tellen's blog. They would love for you to come by for a visit. The challenge is open to everyone, you do not have to use a Tellen's image, but if you do you get extra points. There is only one entry per person. We will all come to your blog and leave a comment. Entering more than once will not give you any more chances to win. We will only leave one comment. Now on to my card.

My card ended up being monochromatic, it wasn't intentional, it just happened. The papers are Basic Grey from the Cappella pad. and the bazzill card stock is from the scrap pile. I thought that they were just perfect together. The spellbinders dies are the fancy tag and label 10. I love the scalloped ends on this one. I wrote done the copics used and now can't find my list. The lace is from the from a wonderful package that I won last year and the bling is from my stash. I am sending this card to my daughter for Mother's Day. The DIVA is from the Tellen's collection.

EMBALMING/EMBOSSING CHALLENGE

Hey all, another Friday is upon us and I am sure ready for it. It has been a very busy long week. I have been late getting home every night and I really need some rest. Has anyone seen my MOJO. I seem to have lost it or it ran away from home. Maybe it thought that I was using it to much and decided to get away for awhile. But, if you see it, please tell it to come on back home. I really need it and miss it. Oh well, the reason that I am here. It is Friday so that means that it is time for another challenge over at Tellen's Place. Let me tell you you are going to love this challenge. It is soo out of the ordinary for this time of year. Yes, in my title it is says embalming. The idea is to use your scary halloween images. Well, I am a girly girl and I really don't do scary, so I went with the make believe. I love fairies and and I used one of Tellen's newer images. The embalming came about for this April fools day because our senior Designer Lyn decided to play a joke of the team. I was the one that did not even notice the change. She changed embossing to embalming in our weekly schedule and it stuck. So please join us this week for another fun challenge at Tellen's. The DIVAS have been really busy getting ready and they have some wonderful projects to share with you. You can see these at the Tellen's challenge blog or you can visit each DIVA at there own blogs which can be reached from my side bar. When you link your project to the linky tool at Tellen's the DIVAS will each visit your blog and leave a lovely comment. But, please remember that there is only one entry per person. Leaving more than one entry will not increase your chances of winning, but if you use a Tellen's image you will get more points in the voting. So joining us and I will be by for a visit.  Now, here is my card.

I really love purple, as you can see from this photo. The purple corrogated card board is from a scrap pack that I bought when I started scrapbooking years ago. I never found any use for it until I started making cards. Now I can't get enough of if. I used this instead of regular card stock for the texture of it. I embossed the Bazzill lilac shiny paper with the Cuttlebug embossing folder, and i forget what this one is called and I did not write it on the storage envelope either. I will find out. The background for my fairy is the Cuttlebug leafy branch folder. the stamps are from a clear set from Recollections at Michaels. It is a fairy set. The stretchy shiny cord is from a 3 pack set that I bought at Tuesday Mornings for $1.99. There were about 10 different cords in the 3 packs. What a deal right. I colored my image with copics E09, E11, E13, E15, spica purple glitter pen. and I also used a metallic marker that I won from a store in the U.K. it is Marvy Metallics. But, I don't think the paper that I used was thick enough to use these markers. But, I do love the colors. Yes, there are a few challenges.

FRIENDS

Hey, it is Tuesday night and I have a new card to post. The image is from C.C. Designs and she is called Rosalie. I really think these images are too cute and she has a little kitten along with her. This card is for someone I call friend. I haven't made her a card before and thought is was time. The card has a little bit of everything, the metal frame around my sentiment which I bought in the clearance section some place months ago, the pearls in the center of my flowers. The flowers are made using  two different sizes of my daisy punches. all of the papers are from my scrap file. There are 3 different DP's. Two are in the sketch and the third is in the flowers. I embossed the pink Bazzill card stock with the leafy branches from Cuttlebug. The image is colored with copics E00, E11, E13, E15, E25, YG03, YG05 YG06 and spica glitter pen melon.

The sketch that I used is from Cute Card Thursday. There are several other challenges:

2 Sisters Challenge Make your own Embellishments (flowers)
