CARD MARATHON

I needed all kinds of cards for my stash and I had a card making marathon. These are just a few of the ones that I came up with. I used a very old pad of paper from K and Company. Lots of bling from my stash and several different spellbinders dies. Now I am ready for most occasions.

S.M.C.O.F. ATC BOOK PROJECT 11

I am so late posting this project but, life is a constant change and sometimes it just does not allow a lot of time for the fun things. This was a fun project, I had never considered a book ATC before. I definitely had to start over several times because I just could not get something that I actually liked. I wanted it to be able to fit into my ATC notebook and not be super bulky. This design came from the Tim Holtz book of ATCs that I bought at Hobby Lobby years ago. If you would like all of the information about the book just leave me a comment and I will get it to you.
This paper is from K and Company, I chose it because it is double sided and worked great for this project. The bling is from Hobby Lobby and I really love it.
The stamp with the two ladies is from from Hampton Arts and actually has 4 ladies on it is called Fashionnista Ladies and went with a Graphic 45 collection from way back. The other is also from Hampton Arts and it is also from a Graphic 45 collection. I matted the images on black card stock and cut the corners with the ticket corner chomper from We R Memory keepers and I inked the edges of both with Tim Holtz distress ink fired brick. Well that is it for my project today and I will be back again soon with a new project.

EASEL ATC CARDS

Good morning, I am back with a project that was made for a challenge over at the Facebook group "Crafter's with Artitude". The challenge was to make easel ATCs. I had never even heard of this before and thought that I would give it a try. I searched YouTube to find out if it had been done before and yep, there it was. So, I found a clear and concise tutorial and went to work.  This is what I came up with. IT was really simple and lots of fun. This is a great way to display your ATCs in your craft room.

The papers that I used were from K and Company the black and ivory collection. I inked all of the papers with black soot distress ink. I just love the way everything looks a little vintage to go with the images.  The images are from a Graphic 45 collection and the bling is from Michaels the punch used was EK Success and the sentiment is from the $1 bin at Michaels. The red bling is from the Paper Studio. Well, that is it for today and I hope to be back real soon with another project. Thanks for stopping by.

SATURDAY MORNING CHALLENGE OF FRIENDS 9

Good morning bloggers, this is Joyce and I am here with a new post. I am trying to be a better blogger. Today I have a new project that I made for my challenge with a friend on my Youtube channel. We call it the Saturday morning challenge of friends (S.M.C.O.F.) This is our 9th challenge and we try to keep it interesting. Please check us out. This weeks challenge was to make 3x3 cards with envelopes and a presentation (something to store them in).
To get a better view, check out my video here. The paper that I used was from K and Company and is called black and cream.  I made the flowers for another challenge that we did a few weeks ago. I used bazzill card stock for the base of my cards and cut the paper to 3x6. I used my corner chomper to round the edges. the stamp is from Michaels a few years ago. I used my envelope punch from We R Memory Keepers to make the 3 1/4x3 1/4 envelopes. The book is to hold the cards and envelopes was made using 1-8 1/2x11 sheet of heavy duty card stock and I matted the with the same papers that I used on my cards.

SATURDAY MORNING CHALLENGE OF FRIENDS 3

Over on my youtube channel I do a challenge with a couple of friends. The challenge this week was to make a card using a sketch. the sketch could come from any source. I used an old one from 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog.

We started doing this challenge because we both have so many crafting products that we have not gotten any use out of and we need to use our product. So everything that I used on my card has been in my stash for a long time and the card stock was leftover from another project. The Design paper is from K & company and this was the first time that I had opened this pad. I got this one at Big Lots for a couple of bucks and I also have the 12x12 pad that I bought at Joann's a couple of years ago.

The image stamp is from Stampers Best, the bling is from my stash and the red, black and clear piece is from K and company. the sentiment stamp is from Michaels and I used 2 different spellbinders dies for the die cuts. The red paper is from a piece of scrap that I have been using in small amounts for awhile. I inked the edges of all of my papers with black soot distress ink from Tim Holtz.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE AUTUMN

Good morning bloggers. Another Saturday morning and time to get some crafting in. It is still hot here and I am looking forward to some 70 degree weather. But, fall is in the air in lots of places and I do love the colors of fall.  So today's card incorporates some of those colors.

The card stock for this card is from Recollections also. The Thankful for everything stamp is Inkadinkado. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder (birds and swirls). The image is from Inktegrity, The pumpkin on the bottom is from K and Company. I colored the image with copics, E33, E27, YG61, YG67, YR02, YR15, YR14 and I used the stardust glitter pen from gelly roll. I used Tim Holtz distress ink on the card base (vintage photo). So that is it for this card, I will be back soon with something new.

HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope that you are all enjoying your families and remembering what this season is all about. It is not all about the gifts. I am here to share another one of my Christmas cards.

This card is one in a series of 4 that were made for some very special friends of mine. The paper is My Minds Eye and the banner embellishment is also. The chipboard piece is K and Company and the pieces match perfectly. The pearl dots are liquid pearls. I think that the pearl shapes came out just right.

CHRISTMAS MINI ALBUM

Good morning, I am here with a very quick post. I know it has been a while and I hope to get back into the swing of things soon. I am in the process of packing up for an upcoming move and it just reminds me how much I hate move from one place to another. But, life changes and you have to be willing to go with those changes. I have been creating just not posting any of it. So this is one of my more recent projects. It is a 4x6 Christmas mini album that I made using scrap papers. Some of the papers are from Recollections, some are from K and Company and a couple of the pieces are from DCWV. I like for my albums to lay flat, so I have not added any embellishments yet. I want to wait until photos are added.

The base of each page is made with cardstock and holds a tag like the one shown above. I bound it using my Cinch by We R Memory Keepers. Love it. The tab on each mat was made by  the Stampin Up tab punch, which I borrowed from a friend. Well, that is it for this project I will be back soon. You can see the video for this album on my Youtube .

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Ok, it has been awhile since I last blogged. Life has been super busy and then there was the car trouble. Who wants to buy a new car, I don't  so I have to keep this one running. Has anyone noticed how life can change in a heart beat? And you are unable to control the change. So what do you do? Well, I try to go with the flow and not get to stressed out about it. I also try to remember that life is precious and you don't want to waste it. So enjoy it all that you can.

Today I have a Christmas project that I am going to share with you. It is a faux toilet tissue roll mini album and instead of using toilet tissue rolls I used 6x6 pieces of bazzill card stock to make the base pages, I used K and Company and My minds eye DP to cover the base pages. and all of the papers came from my scraps except for the card stock. The tags are from my stash, I used a 1" punch to make the tabs on the tags. I used my cinch to bind it and the ribbons are from my stash. The die cuts are all from K and Company. The tags were inked with Tim Holtz distress ink fired brick.

I really love how this turned out and it was very easy to make and did not take very much time at all.

BLINGS AND FLOWERS

Good morning, it is Saturday and time for a little play. In my head I have all of these projects that I want to create, but time is this huge factor. When you work full time and are involved in so many other things during the week it is very hard to get much creating done. But, I am going to try. I have been playing around with making stick pins. Love it, they are great when used on our many projects, especially mini albums and tags and even cards. These were made for a new friend and I will be mailing them out today.

The paper is K and Company black and cream fusion. I punched the corners with a Martha Stewart corner punch. This is from a set that I bought before Christmas and find myself using it all the time. The red, clear and black bling is also from K and Company. I bought it a couple of years ago and have been hoarding it. It is no longer on the market. The flowers are from my stash.

The large floral pins are from Joann's and they are 3 inches long. I colored the pearls on top with my copic marker. The purple beads were taken from a necklace that someone gave me. The silver findings are from Michaels. The short pins are from Hobby Lobby and they were already gray . The swirls on the back of the package is from my stash. The black ribbon wrapped around the package is from my stash and has adhesive already on it. The red and pink beads were bought at Walmart. I really love how these turned out and will be making more for use on my projects.

BUTTERFLY CHALLENGE #24 AT BROWN SUGAR CHALLENGE BLOG

Good morning, I am so excited. I was recently asked to join the Design team at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog. I started playing there last year and it was always lots of fun. They were a fairly new challenge blog. But, everyone there is so nice and friendly. So, come on over and join us. You will be glad that you did. The challenge this week is Butterflies and the sponsor is Delicious Doodles, they have some wonderful images and also have a challenge blog. You should go by and check them out.

My image is called "Butterfly Kisses" and was colored using copics.E11, E13, E23, E53, the purple star jelly roll glitter pen and the atyou spica glitter pen pink. I also used the Momento marker, lilac posies. The DP paper is K and Company, the card stock is DCWV and it is from a new mat stack that I recently bought and I used a kraft card base from Recollections. The bling was part of my Christmas gift from my sister. She always knows just what to get me. I used the scallop edge corner chomper from We R Memory Keepers for the corners. The sentiment stamp is from a set Hero arts. It is one of those sets that has a sentiment for almost everything. That is it for this card. Please join us at Brown Sugar Challenges.

BIRTHDAY WISHES TO A GOOD FRIEND

I am back with another post (2 in one day). this time it is a birthday card for a good friend. Her birthday is the first of December and I need to get it in the mail soon.

The card base is one of the corragated cards from Recollections. They came out a couple of months ago and I got a box. The card size is 5.5x5.5. I used Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink to ink the edges of the card and papers. The image is by Bugaboo Stamps and she is Scarlett with packages. I like using this on birthday cards. She is colored with copics, B01, B02, B04, E09, E11, E13, E15, E18 and I used clear star gelly roll glitter pen for a little sparkle. The sentiments are from TPC Studio that I bought at Hobby Lobby. The card stock is from The Paper Store. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder (happy birthday) to emboss the first layer. The silver blue and white paper is from K and Company.

The silver and blue snowflake papers are from Recollections Christmas collection Starry Nights. The celebrating you stamp is from Michaels $1 bin a couple of years ago. The sentiment is a digital freebie that I don't remember where it came from, but if any body knows please drop me a line so that I can give credit where it is due.

I papered the back because it is corrogated and just had my stamped information.

Well that is it for this card,  I will be posting it on my Youtube channel soon.

THINK PINK

As most of you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and since I have friends who have had breast cancer it is something that I try to get behind and support in any way that I can. I donate to research and I have done walks to help raise money that way. Breast cancer is a very serious issue in most of our lives. So, this week Brown Sugar Challenge blog is to make an ATC incorporated pink and breast cancer awareness. Since I am in the middle of a million and 1 projects, I was only able to make one.

The image is from (I think) Laurette, I don't have a blog link and I have had the image for a a year or so. It was a freebie. So if anyone has the link, please let me know. I colored the image with copics Rv00, R83, R85 and used a clear glitter pen to go over the design in the bra and the letters of my sentiment. The bling is from my stash and is from K and Company. The paper is Tim Holtz vintage pack. It is a couple of years old and comes in blue, pink and tan/cream. Love this paper.

SPRING TIME MINI ALBUMS

Good morning fellow bloggers, it feels kind of strange not to have a DT post for today. But, I am truly enjoying not being of a specific time table at the moment. I do love being on Design Teams. And will start to look around for another one soon. But, one that is for any other day except Saturday. Time for a change.
Over the last few months I have acquired a need to make mini albums. I love trying the different styles that are out there. I have made several and given them all away and even had a commission to make a couple. Those are the ones that I am about to show you. The first and second of this style that I made, I gave one to my daughter and the other I sent to my sister for her birthday. That is the one that some people at work got a look at and decided that they had to have one. So I got orders for 2 more. But, then I had to come up with a price for them. They gave me what I asked for and I gave them what they wanted.

As you can see they are similar, the papers are from the same K and Company Susan Winget designer and specialty pads. Love these papers. The flowers are prima and the butterflies are Recollections. The ribbon is from my stash. I used my wonderful fairly new Cinch to bind them. The closure is made with a chain from Michaels and my jewelry making stash, the frame was something that I bought on clearance a really long time ago, I painted using alcohol inks and silver fixative. The bling is from my stash. The hitch for the closure is from Tim Holtz. Last but not least is the design for these albums. That is from Elsa over at Just a Few Designs. Each section of this album was made from one single sheet of 12x12 paper. there are pockets and and lots of tags and the album will hold lots of photos.

As you can see, these turned out to be the perfect little gifts. Well that is it for now. Hope that you have enjoyed your visit.

LIFE IS A BEACH (WOYWW 162)

Wow, where does the time go. It is Wednesday once again and that means that it is time for another WOYWW with our wonderful hostess Julia over at the Stamping Ground. It's a time for crafters and artist around the world to get together without buying a plane ticket. We get to stop in for a visit and see what everyone else is working on. I love it and so will you. I am going to keep the text short because I have a lot of  photos of my most recent project... I finished my beach travel journal (scrapbook). Just a few more photos to add from last year and a little more journalling and it will be ready for the new photos from this year. The idea for this travel journal came from Kathryn over at LifesontheScrapBeach

Front Cover ( I really love how it turned out. It looks much better in person) The charm is made up of lots of sea creatures. I used my cinch to bind it.

1. Is a close up the charm. 2 and 3 are just a couple ofthe pages. On the #3, I made a flip page to add more photos.

Me enjoying the beach with my friends. and another flip page to show off my photos.

This is what my desk looks like at the moment. What a mess. I worked on my book all weekend. and I have not put anything back yet.

A photo of the surf. I really enjoyed making this book and I loved being on the beach. I can't wait for the next trip.

I do still have blog candy and would love for you to join me for the fun. You can reach it from my sidebar.

2 SISTERS SKETCH CHALLENGE #95

Good morning all, it is time for another 2 Sisters Challenge. This week it is a sketch challenge. So stop on by and join us for another fun challenge. The design team would love for you to stop by their blogs and check them out. You can get there from my sidebar.

Since we are so close to father's day, I thought that I would make a card for my son who is always talking about trying the game of golf. He is a father of 2 and I thought that he might get a kick out this one. I don't usually get to make a lot of male cards. I have only the one son. But, there are 4 granddaughters and a daughter and lots of sisters. So you know why I love to play with bling. Making this card was really fun and I would like to thank our sponsor for the great images that we received to play with.

This is the sketch.
The image that I have used is Tag Focus. It was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, E50, E51, G21, G24, C1, and YR14. I also use the grey spica glitter pen on the golf club and yellow spica on the golf ball. The papers are from my scrap file and the DP are from K and Company and the gold is from Walmart. All of the papers in that pad are shiny without the glitter. I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the scalloped edge on the middle band and a Recollection 1" circle punch for the gold circle. The card stock is Bazzill.
