What do you know about Flipbooks

Good morning bloggers, I just can't seem to get consistent with my post but, believe me I am really trying to figure it out. I have been wondering if maybe I need to change my content or just find the time to set up multiple post at one time. I will figure it out. I just seem to be so busy in my life right now. There is so much going on and there never seems to be enough time for every thing that I want to do.

But, I have lots of projects that I want to show and I will start with the following flipbook. Flipbooks are a major craze out on YouTube and most people use them to send small gifts to other crafty friends. I find that they are perfect for little brag books to showcase your favorite photos. the following is one that I made for one of my challenges on YouTube.

The papers used are from Craftsmart, it is called blush glam and can be found at Michaels. The stamp is from the $1.50 bin at Michaels. The image is from Prima and is one of the Julie Nutting dolls. the stick pin was made by me and the bling is from my stash. the flower is also from the $1.50 bin at Michaels. I colored the image with my copics.

The doily is from Michaels and I used a Spellbinders die to cut the mat. the flower and bling are from my stash. The base for this album is from chipboard.
This is  the back of  the album.

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR FOR LOTS OF BIRTHDAYS

One of my goals for this year is to post more regularly on my blog. So far I have not done that. I am crafting, It is just making the time to post some of it. This is another birthday card, this one for a very dear friend.

The stamp set is Graphic 45 from the couture set #1. The DP is from My Minds Eye (2011) The card stock is Recollection and the flowers and bling are from  Recollections also. The  card base is the corrugated cardboard cards from Michaels. I stamped the image with momento rich brown ink and the image on the inside of the card is from Michaels $1 bin. I used a spellbinders label set for the inside, the larger size was embossed with the swiss dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug.. I really love how this card turned out. I will be back soon with another project. A video showing my card.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

Hi all, it is almost that time again when that jolly old guy in the red suit makes his annual appearance. I sure hope that he finds my temporary residence. But, just in case I decided to  post this Christmas card.

It is made using My Minds Eye lost and found Christmas. I used spellbinders dies and Recollections die cut, a Martha Stewart punch. I love this set of papers which was bought at Michaels for 70% off the regular price and I used the pad to make about 10 cards and used almost the whole thing. There are a few sheets left and I will use them in a mini album.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Well, it is time for another post. Life is busy and I recently moved and I am still putting the new place together. Not a lot of time for crafting and creating. But, this is a project that was done not to long ago. This is a card that I made for a young lady that I work with. She was married a couple of months ago. The image is from The Pixie Cottage and the artist is Airtish. I really love this image. The colors of the wedding were pink and green. The design paper is DCWV. The cardstock, bling and flowers are all from Recollections. I used the Spellbinders banner die and label die.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog. I plan to start posting more since I am starting to feel better.

SHABBY CHIC BIRTHDAY CARD

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted a project. There has been so much going on in my life and being sick was a small part of that. Now, I am better but, my energy level is still not back to normal. I have missed blogging and will keep this post short. My project today is a card that I made for my boss' birthday. I used the Tim Holtz shabby chic pad from several years ago. I do love these papers. I also used a stamp from one of the Graphic 45 sets.

The flowers are from Wild orchid Crafts, the bling is recollections and I used a Spellbinders die set. The stamp is from The Paper Studio. I really love how this card turned out.

LET'S CELEBRATE

Wow, I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted one of my projects. Things around here have been really weird and I have not been feeling well for weeks and because of that I have not been able to focus on crafting.  Now it seems that I am getting better and I felt like putting something on my blog. This card was made months ago and it is a birthday card that I made for my daughter.

The image is one that I won from the "Crafty Purple Frog" The artwork is by Ching-Chou Kuik. I like the images because there is no coloring involved and it makes for a quick card or project. The bling is from my stash and the I used a spellbinder tag and the stamp is from Michaels $1 bin. I used the Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder and the card stock is Recollections.

Good morning, it is Tuesday and that means it is time for another challenge at Tuesday Throwdown. This week the challenge is "Focus on the Sentiment", that means that the sentiment has to be out in the front. Please read the rules on the challenge blog and follow them. The sentiment that I have used is from Tim Holtz, and it is one that I had to have.

All of the paper on this card is from the scrap file, I DP is My Minds Eye, the cardstock is Recollections, the flower is the last from an old prima set. The butterflies are Recollections. I inked the edges of the spellbinders die cuts with Tim Holtz distress ink, faded jeans. So, that is it for my project, very simple but, I really like it. ANYTHING GOES AT BROWN SUGAR #34

Wow, what a week this has been. Work is super busy and this was the week for annual evaluations not many surprises since I knew I completed all of my goals and projects for the year. It just gets stressful sometimes. But, I am glad that it is over and that it is Friday. I really need some time to create.

THERE IS A DESIGN TEAM CALL AT BROWN SUGAR going on right now. It will end March 25th. If your would like to be a part of a great team go on over and check it out.

This week the challenge at BROWN SUGAR CHALLENGE is "Anything Goes" and we all know how easy that is. Our sponsor for the week is BUGABOO STAMPS. I love the images that Jody comes up with and they are fun to work with.

This is get your craft on and I am going to use it on a scrapbook page from one of our crops. I will also be doing some shopping this week over at Bugaboo. I saw some new images that I just have to have. The image was colored with copics B000, BG45, BG53, E11, E13, E15, YR04, Y21. The sentiment came with the image. The papers are from a very old pad of My Minds Eye (Stella Rose collection) Hattie Papers is the name. I have almost used the whole pad. But, it has been one of my favorites. The flowers are from my stash, the circle and inverted scallop were cut with Spellbinders dies as was the image and the mat beneath it. I don't have the packaging anymore and my list is not available to say which label this is.. Well, that is it for this post. I hope that you will join us for this weeks challenge at BROWN SUGAR, and don't forget to stop the the rest of the team members for a visit. I know that they will appreciate your comments.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

The image is cupid from Tellen's Place Designs. The wonderful artist is Terry's son, Markus. Tellen's Place is no longer up and running, but the images are still fantastic.

The gold paper is recycled  Christmas wrap, it is some wrapping paper that I confiscated at our department Christmas party. It is heavier than most wrapping papers and when I saw it I thought, "hey, I can use that on my cards". So as people were unwrapping their dirty santa gifts, I was grabbing up the paper before they could ball it up and throw it away. So I ended up with lots of it. I embossed the paper with the Cuttlebug hearts embossing folder. The bling was bought last year in the Hobby Lobby clearance sale. The sentiment is something that I wrote on my computer. I used the Dahlia Nestabilities as the background for the cupid. And it was Bazzill paper that I cut with it. They have been in the clearance isle for a couple of months and I was just waiting them out before I bought anymore. The image was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, E53, R24, R27, R29, Y28, spica red glitter pen and gold glitter pen.

BROWN SUGAR VALENTINES CHALLENGE # 29 (WITH KENNY K)

Good morning it is time for another wonderful challenge at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog, this week we have the fabulous Kenny K's Krafty Krew as our sponsor and he gave us some fabulous images to play with with. I got this sexy cupid.

I colored the image with copics E11, E15, E13, E23, R24, R27 I colored the wings with a gold marker and then covered them with stickles. I use the spica pink and red glitter pens on her little outfit, boots and garter belt and the bow and arrows. I cut her out and then used foam tape to pop her up, the ticket for love is from K and Company's last years valentines borders. The happy valentines day sentiment is from Michaels $1.50 bin, I cut out 3 different spellbinders labels and layered them. The DP paper is Basic grey from a long time ago. The card stock is Recollections. The heart border is also from K and Company. The bling is from my stash. The base of the card is from Recollections corrugated card set. I really like these and you can use them for any type of card, they can be dressed up or dressed down.

I used the same DP on the inside of the card and have not added a sentiment yet. The top of the inside is embossed with a new set of valentine embossing folders from Cuttlebug, well they are not new, I got them of clearance this summer, they came with 4 folders total and I paid about $3 for them. It says live, laugh, love and romance. has hearts and other designs on it. Well, that is it for my card. So, go on over to Brown Sugars Blog and join in the fun. Tell them that I sent you. If you would like to visit some of the other Design Team members you can get to their blogs from my side bar. We would love for you to join us.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Hi all, it is almost 6:30 pm on Saturday evening and I have not gotten very much crafting done even though I have been sitting in my room for the last 2 hours. I almost finished a mini I have been working on. I picked up the photos for my cousins birthday mini. I printed and picked up the last of the photos for my daughters Las Vegas mini. (so far behind on that). I have several orders for note cards and I did cut the paper for those, but I have not gotten any further than that. Maybe a glass of wine and a good book would be a better idea right now. I just can't seem to get motivated. Oh well, I went through my cameras and came across several projects that I had not posted yet and a number of them were some book marks that I made a few months ago. I thought that since it is back to school time and school means books and lots of them. Everybody could use a couple of bookmarks. I love the corner bookmark. You can make 10 of them and they will all look different. Here is mine.

This was made totally from scraps and originally came from a My Minds Eye (Stella Rose pad). The owl stamp is from a $1 set that I bought in the Michaels $1 bin. I used a Spellbinders edge die and one of the Spellbinders label dies. the owl was colored with copics E30. E31. E33 and a little G21. I distressed it with some Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink.

Well there is not really much else that I can say about this project. So I will be keeping this post short. There are a few challenges.

CELEBRATE WITH A MINI ALBUM

Good morning all, I can't believe that it has been 2 weeks since my last post. I have been having a very busy time and not much computer time. I was out of town for a while visiting with family and friends that I had not seen for a while. I helped my cousin to celebrate her 65th birthday and that was loads of fun. The way that we celebrated was to have an outdoor party/cookout. The tempertures were in the high 90s. And we had a crowd there for the celebration. There were tents setup up in the back yard with lots of food and drinks. While celebrating it rained on us. And I could not beleive that not one person left the party because of the rain. We just hung out under the tents until it stopped. After the rain a beautiful rainbow came out and I actually got a wonderful photo of it. The project that I am showing today is the mini album that I made for her birthday. She loved it. Once I get the photos printed and in the book I will give it back to her.

This is the cover of the book, the papers used are from Hobby Lobby and the pads are called Simple elegance with foil. I have both the 4.5x6.5 and the 12x12 pads. When I decided to use this paper I already had the small pad and went to Hobby Lobby to get the 12x12 one and they had it clearanced out and it was the very last one that they had. How lucky for me. I used 7 large envelopes for the pages, they are also from Hobby Lobby, they are the A9 size (5.75x8.75). They have not always carried this size. The bling is from Michaels, I stamped the (it's your birthday sentiment with versamark and embossed it with gold embossing powder from Tim Holtz). It was cut out using a Spellbinders label die.  I used the Tim Holtz ornate plate, stamp the word celebrate cut it out to fit inside the plate used glossy accents to glue it in and then filled the opening with glossy accents to make a little window. I really love how that turned out. I used the Tim Holtz metal corners on both the front and the back corners. Now a little about the flowers. The gold flower is from Recollection. The center black flower is Prima. The two on the end I made those. I punced out 2 layers for each, sprayed them with black glimmer mist let them dry, went over them with some some Tim Holtz acrylic paint. once that dried I took some some of those little berry like things off of some picks that I had laying around painted them black and hot glued them to the center of the flowers.  I then sprayed once again with black glimmer mist, let them dry and then spray with gold glimmer mist. I have never before spent so much time making flowers. But, I really love how they came out. I bound my book using my CINCH.

Every other page has a double pocket, which will have several tags for photos and journally. The end of each envelope had the ends cut off and now hold a very large tag. I love that all of the papers coordinate so well.

I still have to add the photos and decorate the other pages, but I decided to embellish after the photos were added. I used the scalloped crop-i-dile for the corners on the small tag. And I used the Tim Holtz brackets on  the edge die for the large tag.

Well, I hope that you have enjoyed taking a look at my newest mini album. I must say that I truly enjoy making them and I have made one for most of my immediate girly family members.  I find that when I make them, I just hate to hold on to them so I give them away to be used. I think that is where most of my joy comes in at. That others seem to love them as much as I do.

TIME FOR A WEDDING

Wow, I can't believe that it is Sunday evening already. This has been a very busy week for me and I am so glad to have some time for crafting. Next, week won't be as bad, but it will be busy. But, now I am here to post a wedding card that I made for a coworker to give to her cousin. She loved the card.

The image is from the Pixie Cottage and the artist is ARtish. I love the simplicity of this card. I embossed with one of art deco 5x7 folders and the ribbon is from my stash and the Mr & Mrs stamp is from the Paper Studio. I used a spellbinders die cut to cut out the front of the card, I forget the name of this one. I really need to find my list. The inside of the card was embossed also and held a very sweet sentiment. I forgot to take a photo of it.

2 SISTERS SPRING IS IN THE AIR CHALLENGE #84

Good morning and welcome to my blog, today is Saturday and that means that it is time for another challenge at 2 Sisters Challenge blog, this week it is "Spring is in the Air". We have 2 wonderful sponsors this week and the team has really out done themselves. So while you are out and about visiting blogs, stop on by the other members of our team and give them a shout.

The image used on my card is fromm The Digi Garden and is called  Courtney With Flower.

Our other sponsor this week is The Crafting Boutique and is owned by our very own Stacy.

My image is colored with copics E11, E13, E23, E53, BG32, BG23, BG45, BG72 Y32, Y35, spica glitter pens baby blue and turquoise. The papers are My Minds Eye and I just love the colors in this pad. As you can see I used a little more DP than I normally do. I thought I would try coming out of comfort zone. I tend to stick with solid colors and maybe only one or two DP. But, I had a couple of scraps and hated to waste them. The flowers are from Recollections and the bling is from my stash. I used Spellbinders die cut. Well, that is it for my card and I hope that you have enjoyed your visit. Don't forget to stop by 2 Sisters and join us in this weeks challenge.

THE PIXIE COTTAGE EASTER or SPRING CHALLENGE #113

Good morning crafters, it is time for another challenge as guest designer at The Pixie Cottage, this week the challenge is Easter or Spring and they also have a sketch that you can use. So you could go with the theme or the sketch. But, I have done both. I have been having so much fun as the guest designer this month and I am on week 3. It will soon be over and I will be so sad to see it end. But, that is for another day. Here is my card for this week.

I am not sure who designed the image, but it is a Pixie Cottage image. It was colored with copics E09, E11, E13, E23, E53, G21, G24, YG03, YO2, Y04, Y08. The papers are all from the scrap file. Got to try to use it up. The eggs I found in my stash from last year. The sentiment stamp is from Stampendous. I embossed the 1st layer with the cuttlebug swirls embossing folder and then rubbed the peeled paint distressed ink over it, added a few gems and used Spellbinders label to make the mats. I think that it came out kind of cute. The butterflies were punched with $1 punch that I have had forever. So now it is your turn. Go on over to the Pixie Cottage and join in with the fun. You will be glad that you did.
