WOYWW # 175

Hi ladies, don't have much time to post this. I need to put in a couple of hours on getting things done for the craft show (it is only 3 weeks away now) and then there is the beach trip with my crafting friends (still need to figure out what I am taking with me and finish off the project have been working on for them. (that is 2 weeks away). I am just so excited. On my desk you will find more paper waiting to be made into cards. I have given a preview of the project that I worked on for my friends. But, since they stop by my blog on a regular basis, I just can't show the whole project yet. So, here is just a corner of it. So, if you are wondering why I am telling you all of this, it is because its time for another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. A time for snooping and a trip around the world to do it. It was started by the lovely Julia Dunnit over at the Stamping Ground and it is so much fun. I love checking out all of the wonderful artist out there in blogland. You can get so many new ideas and see so much talent without leaving the confines of your home. So come on and join. You will enjoy it.

An ATC made for my group. The butterfly is my sun....

this is just the left corners of the very large tag that I made to commemorate our beach trip this year. On the background I did a resist technique. I used a large faded text stamp from Stampabilities, stamped with versamark and heat embossed. Then went over it with distress ink. I will show the whole project soon. The flowers were bought on clearance from Michaels last year for very little money. I bought about 7 jars of the flowers. Well that is it for now, so come on and join us. You know you want to.

WOYWW 174

Hi ladies, it is Wednesday and that means it is time for another week of "WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY". That's right it is time to visit with the lovely Julia at The Stamping Ground and it is also time to travel around the world for lots of snooping. You can visit others who are doing the same thing that you are and get a chance to see all kinds of creativity in different stages of being finished. There are some really wonderful artist out there and I love visiting as many of them as I can. So come on and join us. I must warn you though, it is a very addictive endeavor and once you start you won't want to miss it. Tell Julia I said hello.

I have had a very busy weekend. I am in the process of making cards and other things to sell at a craft show in just over a month. Well, I did get quite a few sets of note cards finished, but there are still more to make. I have not even started on t he Christmas cards. And, I also have orders from some of my regulars that I have to squeeze in. My daughter called and I have to make 4 cards for her and get them in the mail by Monday. She has 3 baby showers and a friend who is moving to another state. I have got to get a move on.  But, right now I am here to show you my desk.

Well, my desk really looks like there is not much going on. On the far right you can see the new desk organizer that I bought over the weekend. Love it. It holds so many of my tools and I was able to take them out of the bag I had them in. and it revolves. There is a set of sentiments that I got from Michaels last week and a 7 Gypsies set which is new to Michaels. There are 3 stamps is that set,  they say Blessed, Vintage and there is a swirl. Michaels has gotten in quite a few new items.  So that is going to mean more shopping soon. so I must sale lots of cards. On the left you can see some stamped sentiments and more paper just waiting to made into cards. I ran out of the adhesive that I like to use on my cards so there is extra on the desk also.

I finished off 15 sets of note cards over the weekend. And need more.

This is a different view. My good friend and one of my best customers thinks that I will probably sell out of all that I make.  She loves them and buys them for herself and gives them for gifts. The only thing I can say to that is from her lips  to GOD'S ear.

Just a few more waiting to be put together and some to be bagged up. I am really spread out everywhere at the moment.

Well, that is it for me It is getting to be time to start checking out some other blogs. Have a good week and don't forget to stop by and join in the fun.

WOYWW 173

Where did the time go? It is almost Wednesday already, and I have not accomplished hardly any of the things that I set out to do since last week. Still trying to get some things put together for the craft show in November. I have been working on some sets of note cards. I chose these and some individual birthday and other assortment of cards to sale. One reason was these are things that are good salers for me anyway. And I was told to always stay with what you know. I don't worry about not selling them, because even if I don't. I have my regular Seasonal orders to fill and they won't go to waste. Why am I telling you all of this, because it is time again for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, and our hostess is Julia over at the Stamping Ground. So go on over and check it out. It is a time for snooping and visiting blogs around the world. You get a chance to see what other artist and crafters are doing. But, beware it is very addictive and once you join in, you will want to be there every week. So here is what I have been doing. Over the weekend I made a few changes to my craft room. Still a few more to go...

I needed a little more storage close to the desk, and underneath are some of my tools waiting to be used. On my desk, you can see a card that I am making for my daughter to give to a friend. And there are a stack of note cards waiting to be bagged up for sale. And there between the paper cutter and the cards are lots of stamped and embossed sentiments waiting to be added to another stack of cards. So much to to and so little time. My friend tells me that I can do this.  Right now, I am just not as sure has she is. She is one of my best customers, she uses and buys a lot of my note cards and she also gives them as gifts.

Some cards are finished and there is a stack of paper that has been cut and ready to add to the card base.

Here are some of the finish products.

WOYWW 172

I am going to keep this short. It is Wednesday and time for another WOYWW at the Stamping Ground. Julia, our hostess is fabulous and you really should stop by and pay her a visit. It is a time for us to get a glimpse at other creative desk around the world and back again. So come on and take a little trip with me. This week I am working on some projects that I can sale at a craft show in November.  I did not realize that it was going to be held for 2 days. But, it is. I don't know if I will have enough for both days, we shall see. I finished to mini albums over the weekend and prepped some card bases to make sets of note cards. Now I am stamping and embossing the sentiments that will go on the card bases. My desk is not really tidy, but I need to finish this post so that I can get back to work.

If you look really close, you will see my WOYWW badge in the background.

On the top of the tray in the right corner is 2 matchbook envelopes that I am almost finsihed with. I just have to do a little decoratting. there next to the heat gun is a packet of really large tags that I will be using on a project for the scrapbook group. can't wait to get to work on them. As you can see I have lots of sentiment stamps out and ready to get to work. My smash book there under the plastic contatiner waiting to get some new pages done.

Well that is it for me tonight, now it is time to get out and do a little snooping on some of the other blogs. So, stopy on by and join us I would love to see what you are working on.

WOYWW 170

Hey there, did the week speed past for you too? I can't believe that it is time for another WOYWW already. First, let me apoligize to all of the bloggers that I did not get a chance to visit and leave a comment. There  just did not seem to be enough time in my week. I think that is because it went by to fast. For those who don't have a clue as to what I am talking about, it is time for another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and it is hosted by the lovely Julia over at The Stamping Ground. It is a time to travel around the world via the internet and view the desk of lots of crafters and artist. Basically it is a time to be really nosey and snoop. But, be warned, it is addictive and you won't be able to stop.

Since I had a long weekend and got quite a bit of crafting done there is not much on my desk at the moment. Well, there is, but most of it is just there waiting for me to do something with it. I finally got all of the photos from my cousins birthday party put into her album and will be taking that to her soon. I had an order for two mini albums and I finished one of them and delivered it today. The second is for a couple who is getting married in October, the sister of the groom wants to give it to the happy couple  as a gift. Their colours are purple, silver and black. So I am going to have to find some really pretty purple papers.

Well, you can see that my desk is pretty much covered. On the right are some 4.5x3.5 composition notebooks that I am going to alter and some scraps of paper left over from one of the mini albums that I made. That big brown thing is my craft mat on top of a piece of cardboard that I used to work in the living room over the weekend and just dumped it on the  desk on my way out the door this morning.

This is just a closer look without the craft mat being in the way.

This is just a photo of my birdcage which hangs over my desk. Someone asked me about and I thought I would show a closeup. It has some charms on it that I got when I did several charm swaps last year. and there are a couple of photos of my daughter and I when we went to Vegas last year.

This is just another view of my room. As you can see, there are lots of things that need to be done.
Well, that is it for me. stop on over to Julia's and join in the fun.

WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY #169

Hey gang, it is that time again, so head on over to Julia's at The Stamping Ground and check it out. You have all been visiting me for a long time so you know what to do. My desk this week is way to neat. I finished off the matchbook mini that I started last week. It is made with paperbags and some gorgeous MY MIND'S EYE paper. So after finishing that, I started another same paper line different colors.  I took it to work and actually got a couple of orders for them.

That pink and brown together is wonderful.  I still need to make the belly band and then all I have to do is add photos.

These are the papers and bags for the new one. The bags are ready and the 6x6 papers are ready to glue down. the 12x12 is for the cover. Hope to finish it soon. I also made a couple of sets of note cards for a friend and got paid for those. I do like it when I can make a little cash to by more stuff. I will show them in a later post.  Well, that is it for now. Time to go around and do a little snooping.

WOYWW 168

Hi fellow artist. Those of you that like to be nosey and snoop around other artist blogs. You all know what time it is. It is time for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday over at the Stamping Ground with the wonderful Julia who is our hostess. If you have never visited Julia, you really should and see what this is all about. But, I must warn you, it is very addictive and well, you will see. Tonight, I don't have a lot going on on my desk. My cousins mini is still there waiting for the photos to go into it. I did drop them off to be printed so I should pick them up soon. But, how many of you have heard of Kathy Orta from Paper Phenomenon she designs some of the most wonderful mini albums and things to hold them in. Well, last year she designed this wonderful paper bag mini that is made like a match book. It is quick and easy and just as cute as can be. If you have 6x6 pads they are perfect to cover the bags. Well, I started one last night and got my bags all prepped and then could not decide on the paper. Finally I did and I will me using a pad of MY minds Eye (Madison) You should really check her out. I have also decided that I am going to make this particular album as Christmas gifts this year. Well, here is my desk.

Well, the kraft square is my paperbags already to be covered. The black bags are next, I have some vintage Prima paper that I can't wait to use. So stop on my Julia's and see what is going on. I have to go now. I need to get started snooping.

WOYWW #164

Hello, it is Wednesday and time for another "What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday", Julia Dunnit is the lady that started it all. It is addictive and fun. You get to go around the world and check out the desk of a lot of wonderful artist and crafters. So get that cup of coffee and take a seat. Head on over to The Stamping Ground and check it out. You will be glad that you did. Today I have a couple of new products. You know how I love to get a bargain.

First up is my brand new big shot. Isn't it pretty. Yes I have a Cuttlebug, but it was so awkward using the Sizzix dies and the Tim Holtz dies on it. I love the long platform on the Big Shot. I got it  for $59.99. 40%  off is a good way to go.

Some new papers from Hobby Lobby, the 12x12 pad I just got tonight after work. The small pad I have had for a very long time and only used a few of the sheets to make cards. Well, my cousin is having her 65th birthday in a little over a week and she is having a birthday celebration next weekend. So I have decided to make her a mini album and I will be taking lots of photos to put in it. I can't wait to see out it turns out. I will be using envelopes 5.75 x 8.75 as my base.

Now, a little show of the toilet paper roll mini that was in the process on my desk last week.

This is what it looked like last week.

I like how it turned out, I just need to make 3 more tags for it and decorate a couple of the plainer pages. Well, that is my desk for this week and now I am off to see what is going on elsewhere.

Just a reminder that I have blog candy if you are interested. And I would love it if you joined in the fun. Have a great Wednesday.

LIFE IS A BEACH (WOYWW 162)

Wow, where does the time go. It is Wednesday once again and that means that it is time for another WOYWW with our wonderful hostess Julia over at the Stamping Ground. It's a time for crafters and artist around the world to get together without buying a plane ticket. We get to stop in for a visit and see what everyone else is working on. I love it and so will you. I am going to keep the text short because I have a lot of  photos of my most recent project... I finished my beach travel journal (scrapbook). Just a few more photos to add from last year and a little more journalling and it will be ready for the new photos from this year. The idea for this travel journal came from Kathryn over at LifesontheScrapBeach

Front Cover ( I really love how it turned out. It looks much better in person) The charm is made up of lots of sea creatures. I used my cinch to bind it.

1. Is a close up the charm. 2 and 3 are just a couple ofthe pages. On the #3, I made a flip page to add more photos.

Me enjoying the beach with my friends. and another flip page to show off my photos.

WOYWW 161

I am early tonight but, it is time for another WOYWW. What is that you might ask? What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday was started by the wonderful Julia Dunnit at The Stamping Ground. And it is a time for crafty bloggers from around the world to get a chance to see who is making what. Or who has created some wonderful piece of art. Basically it is a time to be nosey and take a peek at somebody elses stuff. So join us. Go on over to the Stamping Ground and take a look around.

I am so glad that we don't have to work tomorrow and since I have some time off it is now time to finish my beach travel journal. I have been cutting my papers and getting things together. I still need to make my cover and right now I am just not sure what papers to use. I have made a couple of  flip books to add to pages and I can have more photos on one page. I will probably make several more of them. I have some pages that I want to decorate on one side. This book is going to be really interactive. But, once it is done I will get it posted.

Some lovely bright colors, so perfect for a beach theme. I am going to mat the flip books with some of the papers that I have used for the book.

My desk from a different angle. On the left is my box of goodies for my smash books and towards the back are several bottles of perfect pearls and 4 brand new bottles of glimmer mist. I will be having a fun time spraying paper tomorrow.

Well, that is my desk for this week. Hope everyong has a wonderful day tomorrow. I will be celebrating the 4th of July right here in my craft room and later on I will join my cousins for some fireworks. On Thursday it is back to work.

Don't forget that I have some Tim Holtz products that I will be giving away. You can get to the post on the side bar. I would love for you to join me.
