Friends Forever

Good morning, I am back. First let me get the business side out o the way. I am adding some items to the blog candy. You can click on the picture at the side bar and go to the blog candy post. There you will find the new items on the list.

Now, I have a new card to post. I have been very busy this weekend. I have made two new cards, some ATC's and even have a couple of other cards in the works. I have orders for 2 sets of note cards that I have got to get started on. WOW, that does not include the fact that I finished putting together my new grill and all of the household errands and work that I have taken care of. It has really been a busy time. But, I am glad to have it all out of the way. Now, lets get to that card. This card is all about friendship. The sketch is from Basic Grey Challenges.

The next challenge is at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The challenge is buttons galore. Plus, for a Penny Black challenge  you have to use a Penny Black image. And to my surprise I already had one colored up on my bulletin board just waiting to be used. I had planned to send a friend a card and just never got to it. So, this is the card I will send. The next challenge is at Stamptacular Sunday challenge Blog it calls for spots and dots.  The next challenge is at Pixie Dust Studios things with wings, I think that my butterflies come under that heading.  Now a little about the card. The card base is Bazzill (love this paper). All ofthe DP is from Basic Grey Lemonade pad. I am going to need another pad soon. The image was colored with my copics. But, it has been so long and I don't remember exactly what was used. But mostly it was blues and reds. The flowers are all Primas from the summer and spring mixes. The buttons are from Paper Studio. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch (cornices) that I bought for $3.99 at Tuesday Mornings this weekend. The butterfly punch is from my stash. The big butterfly is from Jolie. I used my scalloped nesstibilities circle to punch out the circle stamp from Inkadinkado. The bling is from my stash. The letters for the words forever are from my scrapbook stash. and I made the card an easel card. I do love the way they look.

Raining Cats and Dogs

Good morning fellow bloggers, It is Thursday and I finally have something else to post. I have been working on this card since the weekend. But, unfortunately I have been low on energy and not getting much crafting done. It is finished and since you know me, you know that this card will fit into several challenges. The first is over at Sophisticats Challenge Blog the challenge was "Raining Cats and Dogs" and it also will run for 2 weeks this time. This is the only way I made the posting. Up next is a challenge at Allsorts Challenge Blog the challenge was to use no DP. This is the firts time I have entered a challenge here. Next is over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge the challenge is "Sugar and Spice and everything nice." Now, on to the Raise the Bar Challenge the challenge is April Showers. The sketch is from Paper Take Weekly.
I flipped the sketch around a bit. but, I think that it will work. My image is from Elizabeth Bell and I don't know what it is called. But, it is one that I really like and have been waiting for an occasion to use it. It was colored with my copics and the embossing was done on my Cuttlebug with the swirls folder and then there are the swiss dots. I used stickles for my rain and cloud. The cloud with rain is a Magnolia Stamp which I bought at the Magnolia-licious Online Store the best place for getting your Magnolia stamps. The papers are from my stash and the sentiment I wrote on my computer. I distressed the edges of the sentiment and image with distress ink.

Well, here is my card. And even though I have been up since 3:30 am. It is now getting close to time for work. So I need to bring this to an end.

I would love to here from you.  My picture came out really dark and you can not see the embossing on the dark purple paper. Sorry, but it is still dark outside and my lighting in this room is not the best.

Tellen's It is All About Me Challenge #12

Happy Wednesday, and if it is Wednesday it is time for another Tellen's Place challenge. This week the challenge is "all about you" or in my case All about Me. This week we received images that were drawn just for each of the design team by Terry's son, Markus. He is a fantastic artist. For my image the only thing he had to work with was the image of me that I use on my blog. Which was drawn by a young man several years ago while I was having lunch in a small cafe, right after I moved here. He drew it on a paper bag. I kept it on my desk for a few years and then I decided to frame it. Right after I framed it, I started blogging and decided to use that image for my blog. Markus looked at that image and then he drew me as he thought I might look. Well you must know that I am a few years older. But, I do love what he has done. I am thinking about sending him a real picture to see what he can do with my short natural hair. Anyway, please go by the other DT blogs and take a look at the their images they are all really cute. You can get to their blogs from my sidebar. Go by Tellen's Place for the challenge and show us just a little about your selves. Don't forget to stop by the Tellen's Place Designs the images are wonderful. And they keep adding more to the store along with mini kits.

I love this image. and this scrapbook page gives a little information about me. Some you know and some you don't know. My friend Pam says that I should have told a little bit more about myself. I say I would have bored you to death. I collect canes and walking sticks. the one picture holds a few of the ones that I have . I am really looking for some that are more ornate. I saw a purple one that I plan to buy, I have been waiting to see if it will go on sale any time soon. You know how I hate to pay full price.

Anyway, here is a little about my card. I colored the image of me with my copics and  the papers are all from my stash. some is scraps others I don't have a clue where it came from. The ribbon is from my friend Pam, I told her I needed some aqua ribbons and she brought me several different shades. The charm is from Stamp and Create. My title was made with letters from my scrapbook stash of embellishments. The sketch is from Skipping Stones, but I am to late for their challenge. I liked the sketch so I used it anyway.I will be entering this page into a challenge over at Stampin For the Weekend the challenge is ribbons and bows. I got that.

Don't forget about the blog candy that I will be giving away for my anniversary celebration.

So, I deserve a celebration. And my followers deserve some candy for helping me to stick it out. Because without my followers and all of the challenges available out there I am quite sure that I would have quit a long time ago. This is a hobby that is sooo addictive, but, oh so much fun. I have made some good friends some that I have not even met. But, I consider them as friends, too. But, enough about me. Lets get to the candy. Everybody loves candy. Black and White

Time sure goes fast when you are having fun. It is already 2:16 pm. I am finishing another card. I have gone out and ran a few errands. While I was out. I found that a chair I had been looking at for my living room had been clearanced out. It was marked down 1/2 price. I was so excited. I had been watching these chairs for months and they never even went on sale. Today I walk into the store and they are half price. What could I do. I only had enough money to get one today. I bought the chair and came home. Did I tell you how much I love a bargain. The moral to the story is never buy something the first time you see it. You can always get a better price.

Now, don't forget, tomorrow I will be posting my blog candy.

I have a new card and of course it will be entered into several challenges. I do love a good challenge. The image is from Digital Doodling and was drawn by Wendy, Wendy gives a lot of freebies on her blog. and Now she has blog candy. Go by and see her. I love her images. Can you believe that I found to challenges with the same requirements. Black and white plus one other color. The first is over at Die Cut Dreams and the other is Pixie Dust Studio Challenge. The next challenge is at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge oodles and oodles of flowers. I think I got that covered. Digital Tuesday to use scrap paper. Well I have more than enough scrap paper to many cards so that was easy. Next is at Stamp Something pink something. well I have pink.

The papers are from my scrap stash, the card base is Paper Studio. The image is Digital Doodling, onthe black paper, I ran it through the Cuttlebug embossing folder the argyle and swiss dots. Although you can't see that in the photo. I distressed the edges of the image just to tone down the white. the flowers are from my stash. and the pearls are Martha Stewart, I bought them on clearance. Michaels seems to be clearancing out a lot of her stuff. I used my fancy tags fo the sentiment spot. I have not decided what occasion I will use this card for yet. I used a Martha Stewart leave punch for the leaves. Well that is it. Now here is my card.

I would love to hear what you think.

Boys! Boys! Boys!

Happy Friday, I can't believe that I have finsihed a project on a Friday night, I have really got to get a life. But, I have been thinking all week about the cards that I wanted to make. And even when I am working I am planning my cards in my head. How addicted do you have to be before it is a problem?

I would like for you all to come back on Sunday, I will be announcing my celebration plans. I have been blogging  for almost six months  and would like for you to celebrate with me. As you know I love to shop. But, more than that I love to get a bargain. And hate to pay full price for anything. They call me the coupon/sale queen. I AM SO PROUD.  Well, during my shopping trips when I find a good bargain, I usually buy more than one. So from Sunday to April 27th I am going to have blog candy. I will give the details on Sunday.

Now on to my card. My card is a boys spring card. I have used a Mo's Digital Image I am hoping that the card will be accepted in Mo's challenge which is pastels. Some of my colors are and some are not. But, I love this image, it is a little boy dressed like a detective and I think it is called "looking for clues."  I cut him out used pop dots to give the image dimension.and set him in a field of flowers where  he is looking for bugs. The next challenge is from Cute Daisy May and is called for the boys. The next is from Tuesday Taggers bugs. The challenge at Tuesday Taggers is being sponsored by The Craft Barn. I feel so silly. They said that you have to leave a link. And I went over to try to leave it. When all I had to do is what I do so well. I have no idea where my mind has been.  Well I think that my card covers all of that. The papers used were Bazzill for the card base. I have made a gate card. This is a really easy card, you just score the paper twice and it is done, almost,  the DP is from Basic Grey. The butterflies I got on clearance last week. The ladybugs are from my stash and I found a small butterfly punch in  one of my boxes and made the smaller butterflies. The bumble bee is from my stash. I colored my image with Copics, E31, E3, E41, E40 Y21, B21, W1. I stamped the word spring with a $1 stamp from Michaels and the rest of the sentiments I wrote and typed on the computer an then colored over it with my metallic gel pens. Well here is my card. I cut my sentiment shape with my Cuttlebug and Nessitbilties.
