FALL IS SUCH A GREAT TIME OF YEAR

Well, good morning, I am back with another fall card. this one was a quickie to make. I loved the simplicity of the sketch. I had to improvise on the corners because I don't have a punch that cuts like the ticket corners. I used a Martha Stewart balloon punch to make the corners. I think it worked just fine. The sketch is from Inktegrity Design Team Challenges

The image that I used is  also from Inktegrity it was a freebie at the CDAC. I think it was perfect for this challenge. Which is fall.

My image was colored with copics E25, E27, E51, G24, G08, YG67, YR61, YR65, YR68. I used the peach spica glitter pen on the pumpkins for a little gltter. the sentiment and the leaf is from Recollections at Michaels for $.99 per pack. The papers are Bazzill, it was all pieces from my scrap file. The bling is from my stash. I used the Cuttlebug to cut of the image and the mat, I used the same size spellbinders die and then embossed the image and cut the edge off. I saw this on Gina K. It works really good. I inked the edge of  the image with E25.

And, I am sure that you know there are a few challenges for this card to be entered into.
Charisma Cardz Autumn colors
Paper Romance Challenge Halloween or Fall card
Crafty Sentiments Designs Autumn/Fall colors
Digi Doodle Orange you glad

Ellephantastic Anything goes

TELLEN' S CHALLENGE TWO PATTERNED PAPERS

Good morning, I am so glad that it is Friday. I only worked 4 days  this week, but I swear it feels like 6. A weekend of staying up nights scrapbooking and talking and eating to much good food. It really shows me my age. I have been tired all week. But, I just keep on going.

It is time for another Tellen's Place Designs challenge, this week the challenge is to use to DP or patterened papers. You don't have to use a Tellen's image, but if you do you get extra points in the voting by the DIVAS. Please only one entry per person. We leave comments on every entry and if you have more than one entry that means we have to visit your blog more than once. That really is not fair to us or the challengers who follows the rules. I love to visit all of the blogs, I feel that I learn something new each visit. Some new tool or card style or technique. This past week I visited a blog and learned how to make a new flower. Now when there is a challenge for make your own flowers I am ready. Ok, why don't I get to the business at hand. Terry, has a lot of new images coming out, the next new image release will be on October 10th. She will be showcasing some new Halloween images. They are fantastic. So please stop by and pay Terry a visit at Tellen's Place.  Now on to my card.  Why don't I show it first and then I'll tell you what is going on with it.

Wow, isn't she gorgeous. She was released earlier this year, but she is one of my favorites. I love the DIVA images and this one is DIVA #2. I've used her before but, not quite like this. The paper is from The Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby. It is called simple elegance. The black card stock is Bazzill. The 2 black brads were bought from  Michaels I love the ones that have the bling in them, this set had black and pearls. The gold bling is from my stash. The gold ribbon is some that I saved from a Christmas project that my girl friend made last year. When she got finished I asked for all left over ribbon.  Now she knows what I wanted with it. I used one of my newest Spellbinders to cut the shape out behind the diva. I colored my image with copics and this is one of those times where I did not use a lot of colors. I used E00, E11, E13 for the skin. for the hair I used E09, E15 and E11 to blend it out. for the dress and shoesI used Y11, Y21, Y28 and the sand spica glitter pen. The microphone I used W3 and W5. Thats it. Please take a moment and visit Tellen's Place Designs and the other DIVAS. You can reach their blogs from the design team list on my side bar. I know they will be glad that you did.

You know when I enter Pricilla's challenges I always choose the fancy design. Because, I love the bling. I also think that I rocked this challenge. I hope they think so to. There are a couple of more challenges that I am entering this card into.

Digital Tuesday Challenge Ribbon, Bling, Buttons or Digi any or all of them
Paper Playtime Ribbons, Buttons or Rhinestones
Crafty Ann's Challenge Use 1 digi and your favorite coloring medium
Incy Wincy Glittery sparkly

WONDERFUL SURPRISE AWARD

Imagine my surprise when I got home on Sunday and started checking on my blog and emails. There waiting for me on the Tellen's Place team blog was a message to visit Sandras blog. When I get there she has given the whole team a Beautiful Blogger Award. WOW, isn't she great. I don't know Sandra very well, but what I know is that she is a caring giving individual who has a truckload of talent. She works hard and she cares about others. I would like to take this time to thank her. My understanding is that I should tell 7 things about myself that you don't know.

1. I quit smoking 4 years ago.

2. I don't have cable television or any other service. (I watch very little TV)

3. I drive a 12 year old Dodge Neon.

4. I love Photography and will be taking a class soon.

5. My dream vacation would be to spend a month in Italy visiting all of the old world wine vinyards.

6. If I can't get to Italy, my second choice would be to visit the west coast (California, Washington State and Oregon-- to visit the wineries there)

7. To go on an Alaskan Cruise for 2 weeks

Now I am suppose to pass this along to 7 other bloggers.

1. Pam from Stamps  Inc a very good friend, who if it wasn't for her, I probably would not be blogging.

2. (Since my team already has it, I can't give it to them.) I will take a little more time to think this over and come back later to finish this list.

TELLEN'S HALLOWEEN DIGI RELEASE

Hi all, I am back and this time it is with a card using one of the new images over at Tellen's Place Designs. Terry's son Markus has come up with some really cool images for Halloween and I have used the little cat girl, Jessica. I have placed her in a spooky situation.

Isn't she just the cutest? I colored her with my copics W3, W5, E09, E11, E13, E25, Y38, YR68, YR65, Y38,  Y35. The haunted house is from Scrapbook, etc. The large  spiders are from Michaels. The small spiders are from my stash. The ghost and bats are from Michaels. The sticker sentiments are from my stash.

The moon was cut out in yellow paper and then I thought that a orange red haze over the moon would make it scarier. I made an easel card so that it was easier to stand up alone. Plus my goal is to make at least one card a week that is not just square or rectangle. The DP paper was given to me by one of my friends over the weekend. She said that she bought it at Tuesday Morning. The trick or treat sentiment was typed on the computer and then punched out in the circle an colored with copics.

To celebrate Halloween, Tellen's Place is having a 50% off sale at our Etsy store! What a bargain! You'll find this image and more, so go check 'em out. Because the store doesn't have the capability to calculate discounts, just e-mail Terry and she will tell you how to make the purchase. Once your purchase has been made through Pay-Pal, she will send you your images within 24 hours!

Now you know that I don't make any cards that are not entered into a challenge this is no different. We have taken care of business. Now lets get to the fun part of this program.

The following challenges are:
Secret Crafters Easel Card
ABC Challenge E is for Easel
Cupcake Inspiration Picture inspiration
Ellephantastic Challenges Black/Orange
Crafty Hos' Challenge National Children's Day (when my kids were young they loved for me to take them trick or treating.)
Stamp Something Something to Celebrate

Well, I gues this is alla for now. Don't forget to go by Tellen's Place Designs and check out all of the great images that Terry has to offer.

I love hearing from you and hope that you enjoyed your visit.

FALL IS IN THE AIR

Can you fill it? The change in the air. A week ago it was still close to 100 degrees. Now the temp is going down to 40 degrees at night. An even here in Alabama the leaves are starting to fall. The only thing is that there is not a lot of red, orange, yellow colors on the trees. They just seem to drop off. But, the air is cooler and my hayfever is in full force.

I had a busy and productive weekend and came up with the following card. This is  one that I did not have to color but a very little and that was my owl. I loved the embellisments that I used. I think they were perfect for this card.

The leaves and fibers and the word Fall is a Jolie embellishment set that I bought from AC Moore a while ago. Before they closed the store in Montgomery, AL. I got a lot of Jolies for $1. So I bought all I could. The card stock is Bazzill. The bling is and sparkly is a set I bought at Walmart last week for $3 . They don't have a lot of scrapbooking products anymore. But, I did like the bling.  The owl is a digi image that I paper pieced. I printed it a couple of times colored it with my copics and used moving eyes.

The papers are My Minds Eye Home. I did not finish the inside because I wasn't sure how I wanted to use it. I will probably just use it as a thinking of you card for one of my grandkids.

I have several challenges that I am entering this card into.

Basic Grey Sparkle (papers sparkle, bling)
Simon Says Stamp Inspiration Picture (fall)
Cooking it up with Katie Enjoy a sparkly yellow dig (I think I am covered)
Raise the Bar Fibers- Lots of leaves- Fall
Alphabet Challenge W is for Wings
Crazy 4 Challenges Color Challenge
Our Creative Corner Beautiful Fall Colors

Well, this is it for now. I hope that you like this card. I would love to hear from you.

Christmas in September

Hi all, I am back from my weekend retreat and I wanted to get this card posted before I head off to bed. I will tell you all about it tomorrow and show some of the pictures that I took. This card is a Christmas card. I have been practicing making flowers while I was gone and decided to make a poinsetta for my card. The pattern for the poinsetta is from Kayla's Kreation, a paper piecing program that I have. I usually use it for scrapbooking and since I got some done this weekend and found this while I was looking for something else.

The papers used are Basic Grey from the Eskimo Kisses pad, the cardstock is Bazzill, the poinsettas were cut from scraps from my file and sprayed with smooche. The sentiment was cut with the Spellbinders fancy tag and stamped with a Penny Black stamp from a Christmas set that I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby. The red paper with the swirls is from a pack of handmade papers from  Hobby Lobby also.I used my new spellbinders inverted scallop circle, which I bought last week from Hobby Lobby. It is one of the ones that they have clearanced out. I thought it was different, I don't see many people use this one. I used stickles on the leaves of my flowers. That is it. My card has lots of layers and no coloring. Wow, no copics were used in the making of this card. They will be back tomorrow.
There are challenges to be entered. I was gone for 3 days and had no internet service or cell phone service. So it is good to be back to civilization.

Your Next Stamp Challenge Make your own flowers (use a stamp digi or traditional--I used a sentiment stamp)
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Circles (I used an inverted scallop circle)
Charisma Cardz Challenge Christmas Crafting
Paper Cutz Three patterned papers
Creative Inspiration Christmas in September
Crafty Den anything Goes Going around in circles (inverted scallop circle)
