WOYWW 182

Good morning or evening depending on where you are at this time. I am in the deep south in the US and I have to tell you that the temperture has dropped, the weather man is talking freezing tonight. That is just so hard to believe. But, that is not why we are here. We are here to be nosey and snoop around the world. The way to do that is to visit Mrs. Julia Dunnit at the Stamping Ground and check out some of the wonderful artist in the list you will find there. I love visiting the ladies and gentlemen and seeing what everyone is working on. Since I was off for 4 days enjoying the holiday and crafting there isn't much going on on my desk at the moment. I made several cards, starting making some gift card holders for the granddaughters who will be visiting me this year. and I started on a mini mini album (trying to come up with some ideas for Christmas gifts for several co-workers. So I am not going to show those just yet. They all visit my blog pretty regular.

So right now this is what is going on. My smash book is waiting for me to finish several pages, one is a picture of the ATC's I received in the swap at WOYWW and all of the lovely notes that came with them. I am also going to add a photo of the ones that I sent off in the swap. There are several other pages under that one that need to be glued down. In the background you can almost make out the Christmas tickets that I have been working on, I got a new set of Vintage Christmas ticket stamps a few days ago and I stamped some out and colored them to use on the gift card holders that I am making for the granddaughters. That composition note book is what I write all of the directions and notes on the projects  that I make. To the right of the smash book is the prototype of the mini album I am working on. It is small, but will hold quite a few photos once I add all of the pockets and tags. Behind the ATG gun is a thankful card that I made for several challenges. You can see it in the post 2 down from this one. Well, that is it for now. I can't wait to get started on my snoop.

BIRTHDAY WISHES TO A GOOD FRIEND

I am back with another post (2 in one day). this time it is a birthday card for a good friend. Her birthday is the first of December and I need to get it in the mail soon.

The card base is one of the corragated cards from Recollections. They came out a couple of months ago and I got a box. The card size is 5.5x5.5. I used Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink to ink the edges of the card and papers. The image is by Bugaboo Stamps and she is Scarlett with packages. I like using this on birthday cards. She is colored with copics, B01, B02, B04, E09, E11, E13, E15, E18 and I used clear star gelly roll glitter pen for a little sparkle. The sentiments are from TPC Studio that I bought at Hobby Lobby. The card stock is from The Paper Store. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder (happy birthday) to emboss the first layer. The silver blue and white paper is from K and Company.

The silver and blue snowflake papers are from Recollections Christmas collection Starry Nights. The celebrating you stamp is from Michaels $1 bin a couple of years ago. The sentiment is a digital freebie that I don't remember where it came from, but if any body knows please drop me a line so that I can give credit where it is due.

I papered the back because it is corrogated and just had my stamped information.

Well that is it for this card,  I will be posting it on my Youtube channel soon.

WOYWW 181

Hi ladies, it is that time again and I am so ready for some fun. What time is you might ask? It is time for "What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday." A time to travel around the world without leaving the warmth of your very own home. A time to join other artist and crafters in a journey of discovery. To be truly nosey and do a little snooping. Our wonderful hostess is Julia Dunnit and you can find her at The Stamping Ground. So stop on over and take a look around.  But, now for the reason that we do this. A look at what is on my desk. I held the camera up over my head to take this shot and I really like how it came out. Just wanted to give you a better view.

Well, my desk looks a little busy, but I have not really done any work this week. With Thanksgiving just a day away and only one more day of work. I will have some time finish off a couple of projects. At the top of the screen is my gratitude journal. It is some that I came across at a blog called Motherhood on a Dime, it was a free download and for a month, each day you write 4 things that you are thankful for. I am on my second day. Right below there is a set of winter stick pins that I have had for a long time and never used any of them. But, I knew that one day they would come in handy. I plan color one gold with alcohol inks and then add some beads to make it Christmas ready and use in on the front cover of my new christmas mini (which is 8 1/2 x 11) so it is not so mini. My family will be coming down for the week of Christmas and I plan to have lots of photos to put in it. You can see locks and lots of adhesives and other tools of the trade. Well, that is it for me, but be sure to stop by Julia's and say hello.

THANK YOU WITH MUSIC

Good morning, I am so happy to be here posting another one of my projects. I have to say that I really did miss not being around for the last few weeks. I have so many new projects that I have not posted yet and will be glad to get them out there.

A couple of months ago when my daughter started her masters in nursing program, she pledge with the nursing soriety. She asked me to make a card for a lady who teaches music and who had worked with her group to teach them the song of the soriety. This is the card that I came up with. She wanted it to be music related and I finally got to use some of the music related products that I have bought over the last couple of years.

The card stock is all Bazzill, the music paper is from the Paper Studio, the embossed musical sheet is from cuttlebug, the piano is from Magnolia a part of the New years set from a couple of years ago. It was colored with copics and I used C1, C3, C5.  The thank you stamp is from a set that by The paper Studio. music and the symbol is from a musical set of stamps and I forget who made it.
The embossing on the inside is also from cuttlebug, it is their thank you folder.  The thank you sentiment is from Inkadinkado, I think. I will check this out and come back and update. I really enjoyed making this card and my daughter loved it.

One of the new challenge blogs that I have started visiting is having a DT call, I think that I would like to try out for it, Fashionista Challenge Blog. This is going to be my entry.

WOYWW #180

Wow, I can't believe that it has been almost 3 weeks since I last went blog hopping and snooping. Well, my beach vacation is over and it really makes me sad. My craft show went really well, I so quite a few sets of note cards and Christmas cards. I made some contacts and got some orders for several individual cards which I have delivered all except one. All in all I have had a really great time, but I sure missed you ladies. I am going to keep this post short. So, if anyone out there reading this doesn't have a clue as to why I am telling you all of this. YOu should go over to The Stamping Ground where our lovely hostess Julia Dunnit is waiting to lead you on a trip around the world. If you would like to get a look at what others are doing and find some really creative souls, you are headed to the right place. I love this trip and I have truly missed it.

I lighting in this space was really bad and though I was not very happy with these photos, it is all there is. This is me standing beside the table displaying some of my cards. The table behind me had lots of Christmas decorations and jewelry for sale. I was the only one with cards for sale. But, there were lots of other goodies.

A better shot of the table. I had a really good time for the two days and I was asked to do it again next year. So, I will be getting started early and will be able to have a little more variety in my paper crafts. I had some of my mini albums on display and they got a lot of interest. I have to people that want me to make albums for them. I will be contacting the first person tomorrow. Wish me luck.

So there is not much going on at my desk this week, so that is it for me. I just wanted to get back into the swing of things. Now, I am off to snoop around and see what I have missed.
