CHRISTMAS

Good morning, it is Christmas Eve and my family has arrived. It is so good to have them here. I thought that I would post one more Christmas card before I start getting ready to get on the road for our Christmas road trip. I will keep this short.

Once again I have used one of the corrugated cards from Recollections. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink fired brick. The DP is from My Minds Eye, the reason that I love this paper is that most of it has glitter already on it.  The sentiment is from a Recollections stamp set from 2011. I am not sure where the little potted tree is from. All of the card stock is Recollection and the bling is from my stash. I used the same card stock on the inside of the card.  There is not much to these but, I made them to take to our Christmas Celebration. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERY ONE AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE

Good morning, it seems so long since I have posted a project and I did not realize how much I had missed it until this morning. It is not that I have not been creating, it is just that I have not had much computer time. Life has been very hectic these past few weeks. Work is crazy and there is just so much going on around here. My children and granddaughters will be getting in on Sunday for a Christmas visit. I am really happy about this because it has been several years since we were together at Christmas. We will also be visiting with my sisters and their families, so that is also a thing to be happy about. A mini family reunion. That means lots of pictures to scrapbook.

Before I get to my project I just wanted to remind everyone that I still have blog candy and that it will be coming to an end on the 31st of December. I want to start the New Year off fresh. There are 2 prizes now and the first is still the Tim Holtz package and the second is a surprise just because I have not had time to take a picture of it. You can get to the blog candy post from my side bar. So come on and join us for the fun.

Now, my card. This one I have kept really simple and white.

I embossed with the Tim Holtz Christmas embossing folder from 2010. The card stock is just some scraps from the scrap folder. The snow flakes were stamped with a $1 stamp and I am not sure where it came from, found it in the bottom of a box I was sorting out. I fussy cut it out used stickles, adhered it to some glitter paper and then cut it out again. and there you have a very simple card. But, I really like it a lot. I have found that to keep postage to a minimum, you have to keep the cards simple. I send out as many as 60 cards a year. That is a lot of postage. That is it for this card. I would like to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

350 BLOG CANDY

Good morning, well Christmas is just a little over a week away and I will be spending it with my children and granddaughters who will be getting in on the 23rd and then we are heading to Georgia to spend that time with my sisters and their families. So guess what, I am really in a CELEBRATION mood. And because of that I will ending the blog candy that is going on and adding an extra prize into the mix. I have a total of 314 followers and that is fine. So here is what I am going to do. The prize as it stands is a Tim Holtz package, I will be adding a set of binder rings, and couple of more items to that and you will have to wait and see what that is. But, I will be giving away another prize which will include a 6x6 paper pad and some items to alter and embellisments and the winner will just have to wait and see what else. Like I said I am happy and want to celebrate being with my family. So, what do you need to do to win? First, you still have to be a follower and then go to the original blog candy post which is HERE, leave a comment and I will have the drawing on December 31, 2012 and you will have your prizes for the NEW Year. So, please join me for some fun and celebrating. So, now I need to go and get an oil change and tires rotated and do some creating. I have 3 Christmas parties next week and I have not finished my cards for those or wrapped any gifts. I have to get busy. Have a great weekend and don't forget to join in the fun.

CHRISTMAS TAGS

Finally time to post a little Christmas cheer. The tags in this post were made as a birthday gift for my friend. She had earlier asked if I could design her a set of tags for Christmas. So I took the challenge and this is what I came up with.

The papers are from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Christmas Pad. The stamp is from the Paper Studio set I bought a few years ago. The ribbon is celebrate from Michaels. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz fired brick distress ink.  On the back I stamped to and from. I cut the the 2 different size tags using the my Cricut. My friend loved them and once again I met the challenge. This is the same friend that bought my first cards and as a result I sale quite a few of my projects. These or some similar will be added to next years projects.

SPECIAL CHRISTMAS CARDS

Where did the time go? It is 5:35 pm on Sunday and it will soon be time to get ready for work. The weekend does seem to go so fast. But, I did get a chance to get some crafting done. I worked on several projects and here are a couple of Christmas cards that I got finished with today.

I really like the way that these turned out. Because the papers are so busy, I did not want to add any images  to the fronts of the cards. So, I made the sentiment a little bigger than I normally would have. The papers used are from Recollections and is called Starry Night. The card stock is Recollection, also as is the stamp on the front. I used the inverted scalloped die and the regular circle die from Spellbinders. Tim Holtz distress ink, faded jeans to ink the edges. The card base is the corrogated cards that I got also from Recollections. The sentiment on the inside is from Stupendous. The bling is from my stash, For the Merry Christmas, I stamped it with the distress ink and then embossed it with some silver embossing powder. Well, that is it for now. You can also see this card on my Youtube channel.
