WOYWW 191 and A FEW CHALLENGES

Happy Wednesday everyone, it is time once again for another week of desk hopping, it is the worlds largest blog hop and you never know where you are going to end up. What is WOYWW you ask. It was started by the wonderfully funny Ms. Julia Dunnit over at the Stamping Ground. It is a time for crafters and artist to come together and share what they love. You can visit England, the US Australia or almost any other country in the world. And you have never seen so many creative people with the same love for paper and other crafting goodies. On my desk this week is an almost finished mini mini album. And some gorgeous stick pins that I made just because I love them. Although I do plan to use them of different mini albums and cards. I would also like to apologize to everyone that I did not get a chance to visit. I just have not had very much computer time. I will do better this week.

The mini was orginally going to be an insert to a larger album, but it has so many flip pages and pockets that my daughter requested that I give it to her to use for photos from a trip she recently took.

Now aren't they just gorgeous. I love beads and these are just so much fun. The pins in the back row are 3 inches long and the beads are from lots of different places. I did do a video. And you can link to it from here. I would like to enter these beads into the following challenges.

BROWN SUGAR VALENTINES CHALLENGE # 29 (WITH KENNY K)

Good morning it is time for another wonderful challenge at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog, this week we have the fabulous Kenny K's Krafty Krew as our sponsor and he gave us some fabulous images to play with with. I got this sexy cupid.

I colored the image with copics E11, E15, E13, E23, R24, R27 I colored the wings with a gold marker and then covered them with stickles. I use the spica pink and red glitter pens on her little outfit, boots and garter belt and the bow and arrows. I cut her out and then used foam tape to pop her up, the ticket for love is from K and Company's last years valentines borders. The happy valentines day sentiment is from Michaels $1.50 bin, I cut out 3 different spellbinders labels and layered them. The DP paper is Basic grey from a long time ago. The card stock is Recollections. The heart border is also from K and Company. The bling is from my stash. The base of the card is from Recollections corrugated card set. I really like these and you can use them for any type of card, they can be dressed up or dressed down.

I used the same DP on the inside of the card and have not added a sentiment yet. The top of the inside is embossed with a new set of valentine embossing folders from Cuttlebug, well they are not new, I got them of clearance this summer, they came with 4 folders total and I paid about $3 for them. It says live, laugh, love and romance. has hearts and other designs on it. Well, that is it for my card. So, go on over to Brown Sugars Blog and join in the fun. Tell them that I sent you. If you would like to visit some of the other Design Team members you can get to their blogs from my side bar. We would love for you to join us.

WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY # 190

Hi ladies, I am back for another week and I really enjoyed being able to get around to a few desk last week. I did not visit as many as I would have liked, but I did visit all who came to me and a few others. This week I hope to do better. So just bare with me. I have created a few cards and if you remember last week I had some papers laid out on my desk for a new mini album. Well, I actually got the pages done and the book bound. I have not added any decorations yet, but I have started on the large tags

In this photo you can see the mini in the left bottom corner, and there are some new beads for stickpins that I just picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby tonight. I was looking for spacers. Next to the mini is some journalling tags that I got for free from Prima Flowers Facebook page. Each Friday they have a free download. You can see the back of my Fridays DT card. I can't show that just yet.

Here is a wider view of my desk, there are lots of little goodies laying about. Well, that is it for me. Hope to get the mini finished this weekend and move on to my beach photos and the Christmas ones. If you wonder why I am showing you my desk and telling you all of this, you should check out the Stamping Ground and the wonderful Ms Julia. It is a fun time and the biggest blog hop around, you get visit other blogs all around the world and see all of the wonderful projects that the ladies and gents  are working on. So, come on and join in the fun. Hope to see you there.

FURRY FRIENDS CHALLENGE AT TUESDAY THROWDOWN #131

Good morning, I am here today as a new Design Team member at Tuesday Throwdown,  if you have not visited before you should. I have been playing there for a couple of years off and on. I really am so glad to be a new member of the team. This weeks challenge is "Furry Friends" so if you have any favorite animal create your project and come on and join us. Our sponsor this week is Meljen's Designs, isn't my monkey just the cutest things. I thought that he would make a cute birthday card and he did. I have a lot of birthdays in February and this is only the first card to be made. I have a long way to go.

I colored the image with copics E11, E13, E15, V04. The balloons, stars are from an embellishment set that does not have a name on it. I typed the sentiment on the computer. The card stock is from Recollections and I embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder.

BLINGS AND FLOWERS

Good morning, it is Saturday and time for a little play. In my head I have all of these projects that I want to create, but time is this huge factor. When you work full time and are involved in so many other things during the week it is very hard to get much creating done. But, I am going to try. I have been playing around with making stick pins. Love it, they are great when used on our many projects, especially mini albums and tags and even cards. These were made for a new friend and I will be mailing them out today.

The paper is K and Company black and cream fusion. I punched the corners with a Martha Stewart corner punch. This is from a set that I bought before Christmas and find myself using it all the time. The red, clear and black bling is also from K and Company. I bought it a couple of years ago and have been hoarding it. It is no longer on the market. The flowers are from my stash.

The large floral pins are from Joann's and they are 3 inches long. I colored the pearls on top with my copic marker. The purple beads were taken from a necklace that someone gave me. The silver findings are from Michaels. The short pins are from Hobby Lobby and they were already gray . The swirls on the back of the package is from my stash. The black ribbon wrapped around the package is from my stash and has adhesive already on it. The red and pink beads were bought at Walmart. I really love how these turned out and will be making more for use on my projects.

WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY 189

Hi ladies, yes I have been MIA for weeks and I am having withdrawal pains. I am going to try and get this posted. It has been harder since Julia changed the time of posting. I have missed visiting all of the wonderful desk and so I am back. But, my mojo has not been home since Christmas. We went on vacation and it hasn't returned. But, I am going to show my desk anyway and maybe doing a little visiting will give me some inspiration.

I have a commission for a wedding album, colors black, cream and deep purple. So I started getting my papers cut and that is as far as I got. In the middle of the desk are some stick pins that I was playing around with. And in the background you can see my WOYWW button. Ladies I am back. I have a YouTube channel that I have started posting to. And I have been asked to be on 2 new design teams.  This is going to be a fabulous year. Now, if you want to know why I am showing off my desk, just head on over to The Stamping Ground and check it out. Well that is it for me, I am off to check out some of my favorite blogs.
