MONOCHROMATIC AT TUESDAY THROWDOWN #135

Good morning, I can't believe how fast a week has gone. I just celebrated a birthday and had lots of fun and got lots of goodies. And now it is time for team B to lead the  challenge at Tuesday Throwdown, this week the challenge is MONOCHROMATIC (using different shades of the same color). I love the look of this type of project the colors can be from lightest to darkest in a color family. You can get some fantastic looks. So come on over and join us, Our Sponsor this week is Sweet and Sassy Stamps. I kept my card really simple and without a lot of layers.

I have a friend who needs a little lift and I plan to send her just a short message to let her know that I am thinking about her. I colored this with my copics YR14, YR21, Y38, Y32. I did not even use any glitter this time. The sentiment is a $1 stamp from michaels. The bling is from my stash and the embossing folder is from Cuttlebug (art deco set).

WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY #193

It is that time again. What time you might ask, it is time for another week of spying on your crafty neighbors, time to get a peek at someones desk other than your own. The person we have to thank for this is Julia Dunnit from the Stamping Ground. She started this craze over 3 years ago and is a wonderful idea. I love it. I have made new friends and get to see so much wonderful creativity with leaving the comforts of my home. I get to visit the UK, Australia and lots of places near and far. And it doesn't cost a dime. The whole idea is if I show you mine, you have to show me yours. So here goes.

I bought a new magnetic board and decided to get it put up so then I had to move my purple boards over. I would love to have a couple of shelves underneath. So this is a work in progess and I don't know when I will finish it.

I finished the black and cream mini that I was working on the past couple of weeks and the only thing left to do is to decorate the cover. I ordered new flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and I am just waiting for them to come in. Once I get that done, I will be making a video to show the finished project. Now it is on to my Christmas album. The papers that I have used on this album is from My Minds Eye (a lost and found Christmas and one of the other Christmas packs). They go together so well. The pages are mostly done and I need to do my cover and binding. To the right are a couple of pockets and a flip page which will hold several photos. underneath the pockes are a couple of stamps that I am planning to use for cards. One is a background stamp and the other is a dress form that is just fabulous. Stay tuned to see what I do with those. Hope you have enjoyed the visit. But, I would like to apoligize to all the ladies that I did not get to visit last week. And I hope to get to more desk this week.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

The image is cupid from Tellen's Place Designs. The wonderful artist is Terry's son, Markus. Tellen's Place is no longer up and running, but the images are still fantastic.

The gold paper is recycled  Christmas wrap, it is some wrapping paper that I confiscated at our department Christmas party. It is heavier than most wrapping papers and when I saw it I thought, "hey, I can use that on my cards". So as people were unwrapping their dirty santa gifts, I was grabbing up the paper before they could ball it up and throw it away. So I ended up with lots of it. I embossed the paper with the Cuttlebug hearts embossing folder. The bling was bought last year in the Hobby Lobby clearance sale. The sentiment is something that I wrote on my computer. I used the Dahlia Nestabilities as the background for the cupid. And it was Bazzill paper that I cut with it. They have been in the clearance isle for a couple of months and I was just waiting them out before I bought anymore. The image was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, E53, R24, R27, R29, Y28, spica red glitter pen and gold glitter pen.

BROWN SUGAR ANYTHING GOES #28

Good morning and thank GOD it is Friday. It has been such a long week and I am glad to have a break for a few days. I am typing this on Thursday night, because I have to be at work by 7 am today. I have a 7:30 am meeting with lots of big bosses going to be there and I dare not be late. So, since it is Friday that means that it is time for a new challenge at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog. I am having so much fun being on the Design Team. Everyone has been so nice to me since I started. So, I would like for all of my visitors to check out all of my teamies blogs. You can get to them from my sidebar. After you check them out join us at the Brown Sugar and take part in the challenge. We would love for you to follow us and check out the new Facebook page. This week our challenge is "Anything Goes", you can't get much easier than that. Our sponsor this week is MY HEART PIECES.

I was ready for some sping and this image just cries out for sunshine. I colored it with my copics and can't find my list I will add them when I get home. The card stock is Recollection, the DP is from the scrap file. The punch is friskars, the bling is from my stash I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

WOYWW 192

Hi ladies and gents, it is that time again, time to visit your favorited desk and to stop by Julia's at The Stamping Ground. Julia is the host of the worlds largest blog hop. If you don't believe me, stop by and check it out for yourself. You'll be glad that you did.

This is what my desk looks like. I have the beginnings of a card (all of that purple paper) for my daughters birthday and more of it for my granddaughters birthday all this week. I am so far behind. Then there is the image for one of my DT projects. Need to finish that soon. and 2 valentines tags that I made for other projects. soon to be added to my smash book. My Kindle fire is there charging  and you can see my WOYWW button there in the background. Those designer papers there on the right are some scraps from the mini album that I am working on. I am doing the last little details of pockets and flip pages. I have not worked on it as much as I should, so hopefully I will get it finished this weekend. Well, that is it for me this week. I am off to bed it has been a very long day and I have not done any crafting as much as I would have liked to.

HEARTSTRINGS TUESDAY THROWDOWN #133

Happy Tuesday everyone, so glad that you decided to stop by for a visit. Today it is time for another fun challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown where I had the chance to become one of the newest Design Team members. This is my second post for them and it has been such a great way to make new friends and get to look at so many wonderful blogs in the process. So if you have not visited Tuesday Throwdown before, you should stop by and check out all of the fantastic artist/crafters that are on the team. Today our challenge is "HEARTSTRINGS". Your projects should have hearts and some type of string or twine. Our sponsor this week is "ROBYNS FETISH DESIGN SHOP". You really should stop by and check out the store, they have some really great images.

I have used the I heart you heart, it was colored with copics E24,, E27, E29 and then I used Christmas red stickles around the scallop part. the tag is one that I had stamped with a faded text background stam from Stampabilities and the sentiment is one of the Michaels new $2 stamps I inked the edges with fired brick distress inks and stamped it with Momento red. The sting is stretchy and came in a pack of 5 colors that I bought on clearance some where a couple of years ago. The bling is from my stash. So thanks for stopping by be sure to go by Tuesday Throwdown and join us in the fun.
