Coffee and Cream

Hi all, its early Sunday morning and I should be getting ready for church, but here I sit ready to post another card, wanting to color some more images. What will it take to get over this need?? (get over... who wants to get over?? I love this even if it does take time away from other things).

This card is for a challenge over at Die Cut Dreams challenge blog This card is so different from anything else that I have done. It does not have any colored images. It is made from so paper that I bought almost 6 years ago when I first started scrapbooking. It looked pretty in the package and then when I got it home and opened it, I had no idea what to do with it. It had scenes of PARIS cafes and coffee houses. Well, I wasn't going to Paris any time soon. But I held on to it. Even though I came close to putting it in a couple of goodie bags that I was giving to some friends just starting out. Still I held it. And now comes along a challenge called "Coffee and Cream" imagine my surprise. Your card could either be the color of coffee and cream. My base card is made of paper from Paper Studio and it is the color of my coffee after I add my favorite flavored cream "Southern Butter Pecan" by International Delights. My Paris paper had cut out  words and scenes and I paper pieced them to the card base in what I hope is an attractive card. It shoes 2 friends sitting at an Expresso Bar drinking coffee and sharing gossip (I would love to have time to do this). I also decorated the inside of the card with some more of this same paper. One of the designs of this paper was totally covered with coffee beans (pink, brown, and cream) to cute. Another sheet was covered with cups of coffee with lots of steam coming off the cups. It was blue cream with yellow flowers. Then there were the pages with the Paris scenes going across the top and yellow, pink, blue stripes going down the paper. I am so glad to finally get a chance to use this.

I consider this to fall under my New Years resolutions to use more DP papers and to stretch my imagination through my cards.

Well, I hope you like my card and would love to hear from you through your comments.
