SPRING TIME/EASTER

Good morning, I am here with a short post. I had a chance to play with Tilda and decided it was time for a little more springtime. This is the first time that I have used so many stamps and images on one project. I wanted to make a scene look like a park. The tree is a Penny Black stamp (splendor 3977H), the tulips are Magnolia as is Tilda. My favorite place to shop for Magnolia Stamps is Magnolia-licious Online Store, the owner Diana Crick is wonderful and so is the service.

The bench is from Sugar Plums. The eggs are a stamp from Craftsmart, bought in the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby. I used the Martha Stewart punch floral vine and Spellbinders curved rectangles. The card stock is bazzill. The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is a digital freebie, I forget where it is from. The bling is from my stash.

All images were colored with copics:

Tilda- E00, E11, E13, E09, E25, G21, G24, G12, Y13, Y15 and spica lemon and mint glitter pens
Tulips- Y13, Y15, Y17, Y19, Y21 and spica lemon/buttermilk glitter pen
Chick - Y13, Y15, Y35
Eggs - RV06, RV19,RV21 and spica pink glitter pen.
The bench - E25, E27, E29

Well, that is it for this card. I will be entering it into the following challenges. I hope that you have enjoyed your visit. I will return soon.

5TH BIRTHDAY CARD

Good morning, it is a rather foggy cool morning here in the south. But, I am getting things done. I am in the process of working on my craft room and it has been slow going since I painted the walls about  8 months ago. Storage is my issue. Before, the tornados hit here in April, I was putting together my storage system, (the box cubes (dark wood) I bought at Hobby Lobby, well Hobby Lobby got blowed away with a lot of other property and we still don't have one here in town. So, I have had to drive over 50 miles each way to get to a Hobby Lobby. If you know any thing about me you know that I love a good deal or sale or coupon use. I won't buy a cube without a 40% coupon. and that is another of the reasons that it is taking me so long. Hobby Lobby only allows you to use one coupon per visit. So I normally have to go into the store at least twice when I drive that far.. But, hurray for us, Hobby Lobby will be opening in February not 5 minutes from my home. Oh well, enough about my storage drama and on to my card.

The card that I am showing today is a birthday card made for a special little girl who turned five a few weeks ago. When she was born the doctors' told her parents that she would never walk or talk and that she would not live very long. Well, guess what, she does all of those things. Yes, she has some issues, but she is a sweet loving child who walks and talks and she loves monkeys. So her card had to have a monkey on the front and the envelope. I used several stamps on this card because I wanted it to be special for her. Her aunt told me that her favorite colors were pink and brown. So those are the colors that I chose. One of the stamps was Tilda, from Magnolis stamps. The monkey is from Stampendous. The sentiments stamps are from my stash, I really don't remember who makes them. I know the smaller is a $1 stamp from Michael's. I typed the Happy 5th birthday on my computer.

The images were colored with copics, but I can't find my list to say what they were. The card stock is Bazzill and the DP is My minds eye. I do love how this card turned out.

TIM HOLTZ 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS continues

Hi all, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas/holiday celebration. I did and on my down time I got to do some crafting. I was able to complete two more tags similar to Tims in the 12 tags of Christmas. I completed #s 5 and 6. Since I don't have all of the products that Tim used, I improvised and made them my own.

For #5, I used the Sizzix embossing folder Christmas words. I rub versamark on the top part of the folder and then ran it through my cuttlebug.  I then sprinkled the tag with white embossing powder and used my heat gun. After which I rubbed the tag with brick red distress ink. the wreath was cut with my cricut and pearls and stickles was added to decorate. The ribbon is from Michaels.

#6 was embossed with one of the cuttlebug art deco embossing folders and then each section was rubbed with a different distress ink. the music section is just a scrap of paper left over from another project.  The sentiment is also left over from another project. the wreath was cut on the cricut from the Joys of the season cartridge. All ribbon is from my stash. Well that is it for now. I am working on #7 and hope to finish them off eventually.  I have had a wonderful time making these tags and next year I will use them on the gifts that I give to friends and family.

Well, for now this is it. I will be back later with an annoucement of what the new year holds for me.

TILDA BIRTHDAY PARTY

Good morning everyone. Before I get to my post for today, I would like to ask that you say a prayer for the town of Tuscaloosa, AL. This is where I live and on Wednesday evening a mile wide tornado touched down and wiped out a part of our city and killed many people. I am ok and my area has no damage, but I have not been to work because the lights are still out in that area and although the company property has no damage there was damage at other companies surrounding ours. It has been a very sad and traumatic time for everyone. This weekend I plan to go out and try to help with the clean up or to help those who have lost everything that they own.

My card today is another birthday  card, this time for a 12 year old who is the granddaughter of a friend. The image was colored with copics E00, E11, E13, E23, E25, RV0000, RV11, RV21, RV63, spica blossom and pink glitter pens.

Other products used:
The Paper Studio
Momento Ink
Spellbinders Nestabilities
Magnolia (Tilda)
Bazzill
Inkadinkado stamp
Cuttlebug
Flowers, bling and buttons from stash

There are a few challenges for this card and they are as follows:

TILDA IS BACK THINKING ABOUT YOU

Wow, the weekend is almost over and I am finally finishing up some projects. and have something to post. I have not been using as many Tilda images as I used to. And I felt like I have been missing something in the last little whil. Tilda is such a cutie and can be incorporated into so many different types of cards. So I decided to use one of my favorite Tilda, and I have never been able to remember what she is called. But, I like to call her Tilda Sitting.  I know it doesn't matter what she is called. Magnolias can be bought at the Magnolia-licious Online Store, it is currently down for maintenance so be sure to check back later.

I am still learning my new camera and have not mastered it yet. So this pic was taken with my older camera. I don't know why, but I am not happy with either picture. my colors look dull and brown looks black the other colors look flat. Well, Tilda was colored with copics E00, E11, E13, E51, E53, E09. I used the spica chocolate and gold glitter pens. I embossed the brown card stock with the hearts embossing folder from Cuttlebug, The strawberry paper is Basic Grey. The ribbon came off of something that I purchased. The roses are Recollections. The bling heart is from my stash. The red card stock is Bazzill. the Spellbinders is the Beaded ovals set. I think that it was perfect for sitting Tilda on it. I typed the sentiment on the computer.

The sketch is from Just Magnolia

TILDA IN THE SPRINGTIME

"I AM SO EXCITED, THIS CARD WAS A WINNER AT TOTALLY GORJUSS, #64 HOT! HOT! HOT!.

Happy Sunday everyone. I know that I have not been posting as much as I did last year and I am just trying to get some things under control. I spent so much time on the computer during the last year that there were many things in my life that totally went out of control. One of those things has been my weight. Another was my reading and journaling. I used to visit the library every week, I have not been once in the last year. I keep a journal and over the last year I seem to always be weeks and months behind on doing that. And since so much of my time was blog hopping, I found that I did not design projects as much as I wanted to. I was always wanting to try new techniques, but found that there was never enough time. So one of my goals for this year is to have a certain time to visit my favorite blogs and leave comments. And with my Design team duties, I have to be organized. I also want to find more time for some of the new techniques that I have been wanting to try. So please just bear with me. I am trying to get things worked out. Another thing that I will be doing this year is learning to use my new camera and (yes I was able to get registered for the photography class that I was looking at) I talked to the photographer and I have paid my money. The class will be starting in February and it is 3 sessions (3 weeks) for 3 hours each. They will be on Mondays. This particular photographer does a lot of field trips, so we will be spending a lot of time out in the field. This should be great. I will be working on a lot more scrapbook pages than cards. My card stash is huge and I don't see having to make cards for my family for the rest of the year and into the next. So since my photos have really been piling up and I have lots of new things that I will be photographing, I think that scrapbook layouts are the way for me to go. Plus, I have been buying a lot of items that I want to alter. So look for that in the near future.

Ok, I have a new project to share today and I will try to keep this short. I love Magnolia stamps and it has been a while since I have used any of them. Today my project is Tilda.. I am not sure what she is called, she was a gift and the name was not on the package. So if any body knows please tell me. My favorite place to buy Magnolia stamps is the Magnolia-licious Online Store which is owned by Diana Crick and her husband. The customer service is fabulous and I am looking to stop by and get a couple of the new Magnolia mini images. I have only seen a few of them but, they are just so cute. And I know I need to add a couple of them to my collection.

Now here is my card.

I don't use yellow very much but, with the cold and dreary weather that we have been having here in Alabama, I needed something to cheer me up. Just so you know I did not use my new camera to take this picture. I was in a hurry to get it done and I just used my old one. Since this image was colored with copics months ago I have not been able to find my notes on which I used. The base is bazzill and the 3 design papers are from the Basic Grey lemonade pad. I have to tell you that I love Basic Grey, but the lemonade pad is one of my favorites. (If you have a Big Lots store near you, you should know that they have been having basic grey assesories in stock since Christmas, I first saw them when I was in Georgia, then I was in the store here and found lots more. They have some brads, buttons and even had several clear stamps that I bought. so you should check it out if you like Basic Grey, the price is definitly right). Both sentiment stamps come from the same clear stamp set, and I have thrown the packaging away so I don't remember the maker, but it is a set that I bought at Hobby Lobby. I used the circle Spellbinders and the button flowers are from my stash. The color of them just went so perfect with my papers and the flower that Tilda is holding. The two yellow brads and the yellow ribbon is from my stash. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

"This card won the November challenge at Copic Musketeers Challenge Blog"

Good morning, we are half way through the week and if somebody has some extra time to spare, please send me a few hours. I could really use them. I am here posting this and it will have to be short. It is almost 6 am and I am in the process of getting ready for work. I have one annoucement this morning and then I will get on to my card..

Time is running out for my blog candy. So if you would like a chance to get in on it. Click on the picture on the side bar, leave a comment and become a follower. The deadline is November 19, 2010 and I will need a couple of days to go through the comments and match them to the followers list. I wish I had gotten mr. linky. Oh well! I will announce the winners as soon as possible after the drawing.

Now on to my card. This is another Birthday card, this one was for a little girl who likes frogs and turtles. But, she is a girly girl. Her favorite colors are orange and green. So I went with a fall color theme. Her mom, who is a friend of mine, thinks that she will love it. I know that I did and so did the mom. It amazes me how many people like my cards and don't mind paying for them. I got another order just because somebody saw this card and wanted me to make them one.

I used my favorite Tilda. she was colored with my copics E00, E11, E13, YR14, YR15, YR18, YR31, YR65, spica orange and lemon. The place to buy Magnolia stamps is from the Magnolia-licious Online Store.  The castle is a Jolie sticker set for the princess. I stuck it on a piece of card stock and then scanned it. Now I will be able to use it over and over again. After scanning it I colored it with my copics  E50, E51, E53, Y14, spica orange, chocolate and gold. The frog is from Sunshine and Giggles. I won a really fabulous prize from Midnight Madness and part of the prize was images from Sunshine and Giggles.  The flowers are from Recollections at Michaels. The bling is from my stash as is the ribbons. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the swirly folder and the swiss dots and the birthday folder. I used my Spellbinders fancy ribbon tags. and to cut the embossed happy birthday pieces. The stamped sentiment are from a clear stamp set. The sentiment was found on a very old card that I bought at the Dollar Tree. I don't know who wrote it.  Well, I think that is all for this card. I hope that you can be inspired by my work. and would love to hear from you. There are challenges because I just can't help myself. The sketch is from Allsorts Challenge blog.

MY LITTLE PRINCESS

Happy Sunday everyone, do you know the only thing wrong with Sunday? The only thing wrong with Sunday is that it is to close to Monday and that means it is almost time to go back to work to earn some money to make some more scrapbook pages and cards. I love my job and will be glad to get back there (smile). I have been very busy this weekend. This is my 3rd card to post and I have been working on orders of note cards for friends.  I also have a couple of orders for birthday cards. One is for a seven year old and one is for a 59 year old. I love this craft.

My card today is a Tilda, I have missed her and had to get something done. The sketch used is from Midnight Madness I am running a little late.

Here she is my little Princess:

Isn't she gorgeous. The store to buy Magnolia's is Magnolia-licious Online Store, Diana is wonderful and has the bes customer service. A little about my card. It was colored with copics all from the R family. I can not find my notes. Sorry about that. The Spellbinders Nestibilities is one of the latest, I won in a challenge at Colour Create which was sponsored by Michelle's Scraps I love both of these sites. The flowers are from my stash and some were won from another site. Do you see a trend here? I have won several challenges and other prizes in the last two months. I love this craft. The card base is Bazzill, the lace was given to me in a goodie bag by my friend Pam when I first started blogging. So that has been over a year almost.  I don't think that I have ever used the lace with the pink. The embossed papers are handmade from The Paper Studio. The sentiment is from Hobby Lobby's clearance isle. The grouped pearls are Prima, but the individual pears are Martha Stewart and were bought when Michaels was having a clearance on all of her stuff,  and I colored them to go with the card. I punched the leaves with the Martha Stewart leaf punch. The DP is also from The Paper Studio. I colored over parts of the clothes with my pink spica glitter pen. Well that is it for this card. And yes, there are challenges.

Well, I guess this is it for this card. I will see you soon, but now it is time to make some money.

WITCH TILDA IS Sooooo SCARY

Good morning all, I am rushing a bit to get this posted. I have had it finished since Sunday but, I just could not find the time to sit here. This is my first Halloween piece and it is a stair step card, my first. The haunted house is paper pieced from a pattern that I found at Scrapbook, etc last year. The bats and cats and spiders were bought at michaels for $.99 a package. the pumpkins are from a stamp by Stampalicious. The words are from my stash of scrapbook stickers. The ghost and pumkins are a digi image that I got as a freebie from Copic Buzz when I first started blogging. The fence on the second tier is a Magnolia stamp (I think) and then there is Tilda. She was a gift from a friend. But, you know where my favorite place to by Magnolia stamps is the Magnolia-licious Online store where Diana Crick is the owner and she has the best customer service. Go by and see her. Tilda was colored with copics and as you can see, I really had fun with the purples. The dress the hat were colored with V12, V15, V17, V09 AND RV00. The skin was done with E00, E11, E13. The broom was done with E53 and chocolate spica glitter pen. The ghost and pumpkin were colored last year and I really don't remember which colors I used.  The fence was colored with E25, W5 and W7. The grass was done with G24 and G28. The pumpkins on the front step were colored with Y17, Y38, YR15, YR09, E15, G21, G07. The bling is from my stash . Since my promise has been to use up my scraps, all of the paper came from the scrap file, even the card base. I make a lot of 6x6 cards and always have have of a 12x12 paper left over. That size is a scrap file all by itself. Well, since you know me so well, you know that there are a few challenges that this will be entered into. I got the instructions from Split Coast Stampers.

So what do you think. I would love to hear from you. My challenges are as follows.
Totally Tilda Challenge Glitter and Sparkle
Crafty Ho's Inspiration Picture

I think some of my inspiration came from this photo. I just love this image. The purple tones going throughout it.
Tuesday Taggers Autumn (I think a lot of my colors are autumn, Halloween is surely autumn, pumpkins are autumn, so I think I should qualify) The sponsor over at Tuesday Taggers is The Craft Barn go on over and check them out. I plan to soon.
Ok, I think that is all for now. See you again soon....

TILDA GOES BACK TO SCHOOL

Hi all, I am back from my mini vacation to Chicago. It was all about family, so I did not get to do a lot of sight seeing. But, I did get to go to Archivers, the ultimate scrapbook store. After getting picked up at the airport. My daughters friend took me to the Archivers store in Orland Park, Il.  My granddaughter said that when I walked in the door, I stopped, inhaled and said "I am in scrapbook heaven". All I could think was that I did not have enough time to look at everything. I had a couple of coupons because I get their emails. The closest store to me is in Georgia, so I only get there a couple of times a year. But, when I found out that there was one 30 minutes from where my daughter lives. I knew that was going to be one of my places to go. They had copics for $5.99 each. I picked up 3 colors that I did not have. They had a lot of the things that I have wanted to buy, but which I could not get the brands here in town. The only way to get them was to order them online. So I have been holding off on ordering until after my trip and I am glad that I did. I got Hero stamps, Basic Grey 6x6 pads and lots more. But, since I have to get ready for work, I don't have time to go into everything. Suffice it to say I had a wonderful time after my second trip to the store on Sunday. My bags coming back were much heavier than when I left.

Now to my card. I made this card (which is only a card front to use on the scrapbook page of one of my granddaughers. It is a back to school card. Even though I was not going to make one, there were so many challenges that I just could not resist. Tilda is my back to school girl. The best place to buy Magnolia Stamps is the Magnolia-licious Online line store, I am sure that if Diana does not have it, she can probably order it.  I colored Tilda with my copics, E11, E15, E13, 321, E25, E51, B21, B24, R24, R27, Y04, AND Y08. The papers are all from the scrap pile, leftover from other projects. The stickers are all from my scrapbook stash, bought to use in scrapbooks for my granddaughters. The sketch is from Friday Sketchers:

This card will be entered into the following challenges.

Stamp Something Back to School
Fussy N'Fancy Friday Back to School
Simple Doodles Back to School
Crafty Hos ' Use your school supplies
Paper Players Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew Back to School

Ok, this should be all, I hope you enjoy this card. It was lots of fun to make. I would love to hear what you think.

LEMON YELLOW TILDA

Wow it is Thursday and I am in the middle of packing for my trip to Chicago, to see my family. But, I wanted to post this card before it got to late. I will probably not get anything else posted before Tuesday.

This is for a challenge at  Die Cut Dreams and it is called Lemon Tilda. That is where my title comes from. I don't usually use yellow and I don't wear yellow unless it looks like mustard and I mean spicy mustard. But, I have done this card totally yellow. The Tilda image used is one we practiced coloring on at the last copics class that I attended. But, I will be going over to Magnolia-licious Online Store to see if Diana has her in stock. I really love this image and had not ever seen it before. The image was colored with copics E53, E13, E25, E51, E50, Y02, Y04, Y11, Y15, YG67 and W3. I used crystal stickles on the wings. My papers are from the Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby. The ribbon is also from the fabric department of Hobby Lobby, I really love this crinkled edges of the ribbon. The roses are Prima. The bling is from my stash. The butterfly is from my stash of butterflies. I like this one because it is shaped with wire and has fabric in the center with a little bling. I embossed using the circles folder from Cuttlebug. The sketch is from Pricilla Styles Midnight Madness sketch : Pricilla always has 2 sketches. One fancy and one simple. I chose the fancy one.

I am not really happy with my skin tone. I tried to make it better after it was dry. Take my word for this, it does not really work well once the inks are dry. That is why teachers tell you to blend while it is wet. But, oh well. it is not all bad. There are several challenges that I want to enter this card into.

Flutter by Wednesday Butterflies, Angels, Fairies
Totally Stampalicious Texture licious
Cute Card Thursday Dieing for a Punch (no die cuts or punches allowed)

Well, that is it for now. I will be back on Monday with a new project. I hope that you like this one.

PRETTY IN PINK TILDA

Good morning everyone. What a lovely morning it is. I am going to have to keep this post short, because it is really getting late and I am no where near ready to start my day. I mentioned yesterday that I took an advanced Copics coloring class on Saturday and I hope that this image shows that I did learn a little something. I think that she turned out really good. My image today is one of the fairy tale Tildas, she was given to me by a friend just recently. My favorite place to buy the Magnolia images is the Magnolia-licious online Store it is owned by Diana Crick and she is wonderful. Her service is top notch and I have always been amazed at how fast I receive my orders. Thanks Diana. I can't wait until I can come back over for more shopping.

I have colored Tilda using E53, E51, E50, E25, RV00, RV02, RV11, RV04 and my pink spica glitter pen. The paper is all from The Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby. The swirl paper is from a new birthday pack that I recently bought. The flowers are prima from my stash, the pearls are Martha Stewart, bought on clearance months ago and then colored with my RV06 marker. I also used my Martha Stewart leaf punch. I stitched it with my wonderful little Pixie. The sketch is from Sunday Sketch & Stamp this is a 2 week challenge blog.

I really like the way this one turned out.

I have a few challenges that I am entering this one in. But, I guess that does not surprise anyone who has visited my blog.

VINTAGE TILDA

Happy Sunday all, I am back with another card. This one is Vintage. My very first vintage card. I really did not have a clue how to go about this. But, I talked to a friend and she walked me through the types of papers to use. She said that I should use muted colors and things that look antique/old. The lace is from a goodie bag that she gave me a few months ago.  The papers are some that my daughter bought for me last year when the Michaels in her area closed down and they clearanced out everything I don't remember who made it but it worked well. The whole pad was sort of vintage.  I colored the Tilda image with my Copics; R00, E000, E31, E13, E51. The best place to buy Magnolia stamps is The Magnolia-licious Online Store.
The flowers are from Recollections at Michaels. The leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is stamped on one of the fancy tags from Spellbinders. The card base is Bazzill. (have you noticed that I love this paper). The pearls are from Martha Stewart and were bought when Michaels clearanced out over half of her products earlier this year. The stitching was done with my new Pixie Craft Sewing Machine.

Now here is my card. The sketch is from Friday Sketchers.

The Just Magnolia challenge is Vintage. I think that my card is just that.
Raise the Bar Distressed, torn, ripped or broken (I used sandpaper on the edges of the papers)
Clearly I Stamp Gratitude
Magnolia Stamp Lovers paper piecing

Well, that is it for this card. I hope that you like it. I did enjoy making it and will try again to do vintage.

SUMMER TIME MEANS VACATIONS

Wow, I am back once again with another card. I did not think that I would make it. When I was here earlier, I failed to mention that I had attended a Copics class yesterday. It was held at the closest scrapbook store. When I say closest. I mean the only true scrapbook store in my area. It is located about 45 miles from here. The class was taught by Christine who is on the Design team for Simon Says Stamp. She is also on the design team for Scrapbook Mania. I learned some things that I didn't know. And it helped me to see where I was doing some things not quite correctly. It was interesting and made for a nice outing. My next goal is to become a certified Copics user.

Now to my card. I used three stamps on this card. one is the background stamp which is from The Pixie Cottage.  It is the tree stump with the bench and flowers. It is one of the stamps that I won from the Pixie Cottage right before my computer died. The second stamp is from Magnolia, it is the Tilda eating an icecream. My favorite Magnolia store is Magnolia-Licious Online Store it is owned and run by the wonderful Diana Crick. Stop by and see her. The customer service is great. The third stamp is the sentiment and it is from the $1 bin at Michaels. The sketch is from Just Magnolia.

I colored my card with my Copics. E13, E31, E29, E29, E57, E53, B21, B32, G17, G07, G21, G24, R20, R81, R83, YO4,  W3, W5, W7. I used my spica glitter pens to give a little sparkle to the flowers. I colored in the sky and grass to make it more like a scene. I used small pop dots to pop Tilda up and make it more three dimensional. The roses are from Prima. I used the Martha Stewart lace punch I like this one because it pucnches on both sides of the paper. And it is simple to use. Some of her punches, although they are pretty. You have to work to hard to use them. The card stock is Bazzill and the other DP papers are a mixture of Basic Grey. The pastel stripe I am not sure where that came from. I also, used the Martha Stewart leaf punch. The butterfly stamp is one of my $1 stamps. I am entering this card into several challenges and they are:
Alphabet Challenge L is for lace
Flutter by Wednesday Fairies, Angels or Butterflies
Crafty Anns Challenge ASir Richarad Song (Summer Holiday)
Secret Crafter Summer Holiday
Sweet Stampin Challenge They had an inspiration photo. I pulled my colors from there
Crafty Card Makers Photo inspiration (green blue yellow)

Well I guess that is it for tonight. I hope that you like my card. And I would love to hear from you. Have a good and productive week. I will see you back here soon.

Another card made while I was away

Good morning,  I just wanted to stop by and post another one of my cards that I made while waiting for my new computer. This is a Birthday card for the 8 year old daughter of a co-worker. I was told that she was a girly girl who loved purple and pink. Well you know that purple is my favorite color so that is what I went with. I also made a box (and I'm working out the directions for it) to go with it. I used my favorite Tilda. Actually I used 2 Tildas, one is in the inside. I colored them with my copics and no I did not write any of this down. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss. Nestibilities for cutting shapes and labels. The bling is from my stash. The aqua/blue card stock is Bazzill. The DP is from Hobby Lobby. The flowers are from my stash, the smaller roses are Prima. The leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

Don't forget that you can buy your Magnolia stamps at Magnolia-licious Online Store. I don't know what has happened to the link on my side bar, I am working on it. Since my return to blogging, I find that several of the links that worked before don't now.

I hope that you like this project.

The little girl that received this card loved it. She thought it was more like another birthday gift. I hope that you like it. Please feel free to show lots of love by leaving comments.

I AM BACK ONLINE

Hi all, it is so good to be back. While I was gone I did a little work... sorry that I did not track the copics that I used. Mostly I made birthday cards and I got a little creative on one project which I will come back later and post. This card was made for a member of my Yahoo Birthday card. I used one of the Tilda's.
Here is the first card.

My favorite place to shop for Magnolia stamps is the Magnolia-licious Online Store. Since I have been without a computer I have not had much chance for shopping. But, now Diana can expect me to come and pay her a visit. I love that store.

I have been gone for so long. Please leave a little love and let me know what you think. I'm so glad to be back.

Special Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday everyone, I am here with a special birthday card. A very good friend asked me to make a card for her 10 year old daughter. Her description to me was, she is a very girly girl. She loves pink and flowers and ribbons and bling. Well I think I gave her that and more. I took the card to my friend today and she loved it. The only thing that I could tell her was do not leave it in the car. I said this because it was almost 90 degrees today. And my car was like a furnace. So every time I got out of the car, I stuck the card in my purse and took it inside every place that I had to go. Anyway I hope she likes it. Do you know what the best thing about this card was. Well, yeah my friend was happy. But, the best thing was, that before I could get out of the parking lot of the place where I had met her. She called me on the phone to ask if I had a business card. She showed the card to some one in the beauty salon where she was getting her hair done and they wanted me to make them a card. She is giving them my number. Wish me luck.

Any way lets move on to my card. Of course, it is to be entered into some challenges. And the first is a sketch at Creative Card Crew.

Well, what do you think. I love it. But a little about the card. As you can see I used Tilda opening a present. The place to buy Magnolia stamps is the fabulous Magnolia-licious Online Store Diana is wonderful and you will get great customer service. Stop by and check out what she has to offer. I received this as a gift and it did not have a name on the package. So, if you know exactly what she is called I would love to have that information. I used my copics to color her. I used some of my new techniques to do the skin tone. I like the way it turned out. The copics used were E00, E000, E11, other colors used were E53, E51, RV14, RV02, R02, R11, R81 and my spica glitter pens pink and sand. The cake was done with the same colors of pink and the strawberrys were gone over with the garnet spica pen. The card base is bazzill and the pink polka dot paper is from my stash. The flowers are Prima roses, I cut the leaves with a Martha Stewart punch.  I embossed the circle with the happy birthday folder from Cuttlebug. The ribbons are from my stash. The tag is from my scrapbook stash. The bling, well you get the idea. The stamps used for the sentiment comes from a set that I bought on clearance at Michaels. There were 8 different birthday stamps for $6.99 down from $15.99. The butterflies were punched with a small punch that I paid a dollar for.

I am entering this card into the following challenges.
Just Magnolia One for the girls
Pixie Dust Studios Cut it out
Stamp Something Celebrate something
Opus-Gluei Fit to be tied (make something with ribbon)
Flutter by Wednesday Butterfly, angel, fairy
Cute Card Thursday Someone special
Crafty Ann's Challenge Anything goes
Crafty Angels One for the girls

Well that it is. I hope you like my card.

Khaki, Aqua, Brown and Cream

I can't believe I have finished a card on Tuesday. But, I did.  And it has some of my favorite colors in it. Also, you must know that if I am making cards on Tuesday it has got to be for a challenge or several challenges. Oh Yeah!!! First up is the sketch. It is from Sketch and Stash Challenge Blog

Colour Create Khaki, Aqua, Brown and Cream
Crafty Hos' Challenge Blog Shade of blue and neutral
Sophisticat Challenge Blue, Brown and cream
Papertake Weekly Challenge Shiny, Sparkly and Special

I think that my card can handle each of these challenges so lets get to it. Here is my card.

I thought getting better lamps would make a difference in my pictures. I used to ott lights to light this, but it still looks dark to me. Well, as you can see I used Tilda with ice cream for my image. I colored it with my copics. and have had it sitting on my desk for weeks. But, I am sure that most of you can tell that all I used were my earth tones except for the hair and for that I useW3 and W5. My papers are Bazzill and the cream paper  is just something from my stash. On the ice cream I used R11 and some glossy accents. The bling is from my stash as are the flowers. The tag is from Spellbinders fancy tags. I embossed some of the paper with the swirls folder and my Cuttlebug.

BUTTERFLY TILDA

Good evening, well the weekend is almost over. And I have not done very much work at all. This is the first card that I have actually finished in two days. Yesterday was just a really dreary day and I spent a lot of time dealing with the realities which are my life. This did not leave a lot of time for play. I did do a little coloring and try a few new coloring techniques. Some I liked, some I didn't. This Tilda has been laying on my desk for a couple of weeks along with several other images. but, it is like my mojo took a vacation. I will be glad when it comes home.

Anyway, I made this card to enter into several challenges. The first is the sketch from Just Magnolia,

I liked the simplicity of this one. I made it into an easel card. I used Butterfly Tilda. The next challenge is at Fab N' Funky no DP. The next is Paper Play Challenges pretty pastels. Let's not forget, I love Digi Challenge thank you card. Flutter by Wednesday butterfly, angel, fairy. I would also like to enter this card in a challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy, It used to be Cute Daisy May, I am so glad that Linnie is back. She came back with a new name and new images. This first challenge is as you like it. And you don't have to use her image this time, you can use any image. The challenges are also going to be monthly instead of weekly. I think I like that. Well, here is my card.

I am not really happy with my skin tone. I am finding it really hard to work with more than to colors. But, I guess practice makes perfect. I colored this image with my copics. The card stock is all from Bazzill. The bling is from my stash and the ribbon is also. I found the butterflies in my embellishments. They are something that I bought from the clearance shelf at Hobby Lobby, they were marked $.38 for about 30 small butterflies in pink and black. The copics used were E21, E25, E11., BV00, BV02 Bv17, W3. I used crystal stickles on the wings along with metallic gel pens for the colors. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado. I used my Cuttlebug for emblossing and nesstibilities for cutting out the sentiment. I have a flourish stamp which I used around the sentiment.

Well, this is it. I hope you like my card.
