Happy Sunday everyone, I have had a busy crafty weekend and so I got some cards and other projects done. I have a card to share with you today. It is a get well card. The paper is Blush Glam from Recollections and the card stock used is also Recollections.

This image is from Bugaboo Stamps, I colored it with copics E00, E02, E11, R81, R82, W1, W5. The stamped sentiment is from Art Impressions. It is a new set that I got at Michaels over the weekend.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hello fellow bloggers. I know that it has been a while since I posted anything. But, I tell you life is funny that way. No matter how much you may want to do something. There is always something that gets in the way. All is good and the Christmas holiday has come to an end. I was able to spend time with my family and for this I am very grateful. I got some really good crafty gifts for Christmas and a new photo Printer (the canon selfy) which I am learning to use.  So, soon I will be posting some of my scrapbook pages.

Today I am here to post a card that I made it is very simple using the corrugated card base from Recollections and a Scarlett image from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored it with my copics and used Spellbinders dies to cut my mats.

The papers are from Prima En Francais. Gorgeous papers and I feel no need for a lot of embellishments. I hope you like my card and I will be back soon with another project.

It's been a long time since I posted any of my projects. It just seems that there is not enough time in the day for all of things going on in life. I hope to get back to blogging on a more regular basis. There are lots of things that I want to share with you. My creativity has gone in many directions so some of my post will be out of the norm. I still make cards but I enjoy art journaling and altering projects. But, I am also going back to my love of scrapbooking and will be sharing some of my layouts here also. Project life has become a big part of scrapbooking and I will be giving that a try too. So stay tuned and I hope that you enjoy the journey.

Todays project is a birthday card that I made for my daughter this year. It was made using an image of Scarlett from Bugaboo Stamps. The  card was made using the corrugated card base from Recollections and the image was colored using my copics. The card stock is bazzill and some scraps from my left overs. There was some stickles involved and bling from my stash.

Good morning, it is Tuesday and time for another fun challenge at Tuesday Throwdown. This weeks challenge is "Thank Your Teachers" and the Sponsor is BUGABOO STAMPS. Jodie Mackrel is the owner and she has created lots of fabulous images.

My project this week is the wonderful little notebook. The DP is from K and Company. It is made using scraps from a mini that I am working on. I used several Spellbinders dies and a junior legal pad. The cover is made with card stock from Gina K. And as you can I see I created a pocket so the I could keep up with small bits of papers. On the front cover I used and image from Bugaboo Stamps and colored it with copics V01, V20, V17, V04, V91, E11, E13, E15. The stamped sentiment is from Michaels $1 bin. I punched it out with a EK success punch. I used a Martha Stewart punch to make a little decorative strip to go under the spellbinders, the corner bling is from Recollections.  I received the butterfly from my friend Terry in a swap that we recently did. I really like how this tuned out and I am going to take it to work and use it on my desk. I did glue to legal pad down. Well that is it for this post, I do have some challenges.

ANYTHING GOES AT BROWN SUGAR #34

Wow, what a week this has been. Work is super busy and this was the week for annual evaluations not many surprises since I knew I completed all of my goals and projects for the year. It just gets stressful sometimes. But, I am glad that it is over and that it is Friday. I really need some time to create.

This week the challenge at BROWN SUGAR CHALLENGE is "Anything Goes" and we all know how easy that is. Our sponsor for the week is BUGABOO STAMPS. I love the images that Jody comes up with and they are fun to work with.

This is get your craft on and I am going to use it on a scrapbook page from one of our crops. I will also be doing some shopping this week over at Bugaboo. I saw some new images that I just have to have. The image was colored with copics B000, BG45, BG53, E11, E13, E15, YR04, Y21. The sentiment came with the image. The papers are from a very old pad of My Minds Eye (Stella Rose collection) Hattie Papers is the name. I have almost used the whole pad. But, it has been one of my favorites. The flowers are from my stash, the circle and inverted scallop were cut with Spellbinders dies as was the image and the mat beneath it. I don't have the packaging anymore and my list is not available to say which label this is.. Well, that is it for this post. BIRTHDAY WISHES TO A GOOD FRIEND

I am back with another post (2 in one day). this time it is a birthday card for a good friend. Her birthday is the first of December and I need to get it in the mail soon.

 

The card base is one of the corragated cards from Recollections. They came out a couple of months ago and I got a box. The card size is 5.5x5.5. I used Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink to ink the edges of the card and papers. The image is by Bugaboo Stamps and she is Scarlett with packages. I like using this on birthday cards. She is colored with copics, B01, B02, B04, E09, E11, E13, E15, E18 and I used clear star gelly roll glitter pen for a little sparkle. The sentiments are from TPC Studio that I bought at Hobby Lobby. The card stock is from The Paper Store. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder (happy birthday) to emboss the first layer. The silver blue and white paper is from K and Company.

 

 

The silver and blue snowflake papers are from Recollections Christmas collection Starry Nights. The celebrating you stamp is from Michaels $1 bin a couple of years ago. The sentiment is a digital freebie that I don't remember where it came from, but if any body knows please drop me a line so that I can give credit where it is due.

I papered the back because it is corrogated and just had my stamped information.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Good morning, I have been so busy trying to get ready for the craft show that I am participating in that I forgot to post a project yesterday and I also forgot that my 3rd year blogging anniversary is fast approaching. Can you believe it has been almost 3 years. I sure can't. So stay tuned, I need to think a little bit about how I want to celebrate it this year and I will come back and announce it just as soon as I can.

I am going to keep this post short, I have to get back to my card making and I only have one more month to do it. Today my card is a birthday card that I made for one of my co-workers. She has only been working with us for a short time, so I thought that this would make her feel welcome. We had been without anyone in that position for several months and I was truly glad that we finally found someone that worked out.

I really do love the Bugaboo Stamps. Jodie is the artist and Scarlett is one of my favorite characters. she is such a diva. So stop on by and see Jodie, I bet that you will find something that you will just love. The image was colored with copics and  E11, E13, E09, E15, E71, YR02, YR00, there were a couple more and of course I can't find my list.  The sentiments were stamped with a new stamp set that I bought at Hobby Lobby on clearance, I embossed with the cuttlebug birthday embossing folder. The papers are Bazzill, don't you just love that peachy orangey color. The bling is from my stash. The corners were done with my corner chomper (the scallop side).

Here I am again with another post. This time it is a get well card that I made for my boss a couple of weeks ago when she was very ill. She is now better and she loved the card.

Stella is from Bugaboo Stamps, I love Jodie's images and she has lots to choose from. I colored with copics E00, E11, E21, YR06 and since she is a nurse I did not have to color her uniform hat or shoes. I punched the sentiment with and EK Success punch and the sentiment came with the image. Soo perfect. The papers are Bazzill. There are a few challenges.

RETIREMENT (CAN'T WAIT FOR MY TURN)

Morning all, have you made so many projects and not shown them all? I have. At one time I was making about 5 or 6 cards a week plus other projects. So I have a lot of things that have not been seen by the blogging world. So today I have a retirement card that I made for a friends aunt.

This is the inside of the card and the image is Bugaboo stamps. I really love this character (Scarlett) She is such a diva. Jodie is the really talented artist and she has lots of great images over at Bugaboo Stamps. So if you have never tried these wonderful digi images. You really should. there are images for all occasions. I colored Scarlet with copics E11, E13, E09 E15, V01, V04, V06. The sentiment I wrote and the party stamp is from a set in my stash. All of the bling is from my stash and I used the one of the folders from the art deco set by Cuttlebug to emboss the background behind Scarlett. The card stock is Bazzil and the DT is some leftover from another project.

The desk stamp is from Whiff of Joy and was colored with copics E50, E51, E53 and a little V01 for accents. All sentiments were written by me. Bling is from my stash. I used spelling binders to cut the mats.

Good morning, I impress myself sometimes. I have spent most of the weekend crafting and trying some new things. The first thing was this side step card which I made for my DT duties over at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack, I am moderator of the Card Making Group and each week we make a different style card. This week it is the Side step card. I have made the step card before on numerous ocassions. But, never this one. I love the way it came out. I have a friend who is having a birthday on Tuesday and this was a way to combine 2 things together.

While shopping at Michael's I came across these wonderful little bags in the party section. They come in all sizes and colors and I can't wait to same up some crafting money to be able to buy lots of them. They have this really small size that was perfect for a tag. So since there was not much room for signing this card, I added a small bag that I cut in have to make a pocket and then I slipped in this cute little tag that I have been playing around with. RETIREMENT (TIME TO HAVE SOME FUN)

Good evening, it seems like a long time since I posted anything new here, but life has been really busy. I don't seem to get much time for blogging although I have been really busy with my DT duties and creating new things. I recently started remaking my office/craft room and will show it off once I have my storage all set up. The painting is done, the furniture has been moved around and I have removed a couple of pieces and replaced them with a more functional storage system. So very soon it will be finished.

Today I am going to show a retirment card that I recently made for a friends aunt. She loves cream and lavender and you know that was right up my alley. Two of my favorite colors with bling. The image that I used is from Bugaboo Stamps her name is Scarlett and I think she is very much a diva.

The image was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, E23, E25, E51, E50, E53, V15, V20, spica glitter pen lavender, wild orchid roses, Sissx floral die, the sentiment was typed on the computer. the bling was from my stash and I used my Cuttlebug and embossed the inside with one of the art deco embossing folders. So as you can see, I really have been busy. I have about 7 more cards yet to preview. I have played with clay and started a real art journal. I have played with dragons and magicians and I will be showing all of these things over time. So don't give up on me. I am still around and working hard. There are a few challenges that I want to post this card for.

PINK AND GREEN/GREEN AND PINK

Happy Saturday everyone, I am posting this project kind of late in the day. It has been raining and dreary all day. I was supposed to get together with a friend to get some photos for my photography class. But, with all the rain it just did not happen today. We are going to try again tomorrow. I should have been getting my taxes done and instead after doing all of my errands and some household chores, I ended up taking a nap. The longer it rained the sleepier I got. Oh well, I am awake now so here goes nothing. Earlier in the week I got an order for two birthday cards, one for a woman and one for a man. The man card I posted yesterday. The woman who is going to receive this card is in a Sorority (AKA). Their colors are pink and green. Hence the colors for my card. When I delivered both the cards on yesterday, my friend was very happy with them. She is one of my best customers. The image is a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps, Jodie is such a talented artist and I really love the images from Bugaboo Stamps  I will also enter it into the challenge at Catch the Bug Challenge. The challenge this week is anything goes. This is an image of Scarlett shopping, I figured what is a better reason to shop than your birthday.

I also found out that members of AKA love pearls. So this was the perfect touch for the inside. The image was colored with copics E11, E13, E09, E42, G20, G21, G82, RV42, RV34, spica glitter pens mint, sand, pink, melon. The bling flowers are from my stash. The handbag on the corner is from K and Company. Designed by Amy Butler. I thought that it was a great touch. You can't go shopping without a handbag. The papers are from the 4x6 birthday extravaganza pad from the Paper Studio. The card base is bazzill. I used the Cuttlebug birthday embossing folder on the inside and the birthday sentiment is a stamp that I bought at Hobby Lobby. The pearls were clearanced out at Michaels recently and I bought every color set that they had. Each package had 5 lines of pearls in different colors. I was  in Michaels yesterday and they had quite a lot of areas where the shelves were empty. The sales person said that they would be getting in a lot of new products and once again they are moving things around. Well, that is it for this card. And I will be entering it into the following challenges.

LOVE, LOVE AND MORE LOVE

Well, I made it. I have had a very busy weekend and I actually got some crafting done. And this is my favorite. It is for my daughter and  it covers Valentine's Day and her birthday. Hey, the inside and out are done. So one is good. The image is from Bugaboo Stamps, the image used is Scarlett and the challenge at Catch the Bug Challenge blog  is Anything goes.

The paper colors are bronze, beige tan with some brown, blue and cream in the Basic Grey striped(Cappella) I really do love the Basic Grey papers. The paper  that I printed my sentiment on is cream crackle paper from the Paper Studio. The bronze paper that I embossed with the hearts folder from Cuttlebug is also from The Paper Studio. The roses are from Recollections at Michaels. The card base and first layer which is embossed with the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder is Bazzill. since the stripped paper had some blue I used 3 rhinestones to pick up the blue in the paper. the LOVE charm is from my stash and were bought at Stamp and Create. I used the Martha Steward leaf punch. The brown pearls are some that I won in a wonderful prize last year. The image was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, E00,E09, E51, YG95, W5, I used the spica glitter pens sand and silver. The funny thing about that is that the colors look bronze on the dress, shoes and purse. Around the edges of the image I tried to tone down the white paper by using  bronze (ink dot) ink, just a little distressing withoout going over board..

I am having so many problems with lighting in my craft room/office. I am really hoping that the photography class that I am starting on Tuesday will help me to get better photos of my cards and scrapbook pages.

CELEBRATE

I am back with another card. This one I made for the DT call at Wags N' Whiskers. The sketch is theirs and the image is from Bugaboo Stamps Jodie Mackrell is the artist and so many of her characters have lots of attitude. I colored this with my Copics YR18, YR14, YR65, E09, E13, E25, E51. The flower is from Prima, the bling and ribbon is from my stash. The striped DP is Basic Grey. The card stock is all Bazzill.

I am entering this card into a couple of challenges.  Whoopsi Daisy the  challenge is vibrant colors. This is a monthly challenge. Linnie is a wonderful artist. The next is Stamp Something is a recipe challenge. 1 paper, 1 ribbon and 1 image. I think that I got that.

BIRTHDAY FOR A DIVA

Happy Sunday, this should really be a short post because I have got to get dressed and get out really soon. I can not believe the productive week that I have had. And to prove it, here is another card that I just finished. This one is also a birthday card. Although, I have not decided who I will give it to, I do have several more birthdays coming up in the next couple of months. So there is plenty of time to make a decision.

A little about the card. The sketch is from Friday Sketchers: I chose it because of the many layers. The circle on the bottom is embossed with the Cuttlebug and I think it is the bubble folder. I did not write down the name before I threw out the packaging. I also used this on the square of taupe color paper, which is Bazzill the brown that the circle is cut from is Paper Studio. The brown stripe is Basic Grey. The orange under the image is from DCWV safari Chic. The orange squares is from My Minds Eye Home. It seems that every company had something that I needed for this card.

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps I have had it for quite a while and never used it. To be truthful, I have several of the images and have never used any of them. I think that I sometimes forget just what I have. They are digital and I really do love them. Some of them are just down right funny. The owner is Jodie Mackrel and you really should go by and check her out. Why don't I show you my card and then finish telling you about it.

I really love the way that this turned out. The flowers are from Recollections at Michaels. They were only 99 cents. The colors were just perfect for this. I colored this image with my Copics. The colors I used are E25, E13, E02, E42, E09,  for the skin and hair. The ones that I used for the clothes and accessories are colors that I don't use often. They are Y32, Y35, Y38 and my clear spica glitter pen. I colored the pearls, which are from Martha Stewart and I got them when they were clearanced out, with Y38. Around the edges of the images I used distressed ink in Antiqued linen.  I only used a small amount, I did not want it to over power the card. The sentiment is from my clearanced Michaels set of 8. The brads are from my stash.
