SPRING TIME/EASTER

Good morning, I am here with a short post. I had a chance to play with Tilda and decided it was time for a little more springtime. This is the first time that I have used so many stamps and images on one project. I wanted to make a scene look like a park. The tree is a Penny Black stamp (splendor 3977H), the tulips are Magnolia as is Tilda. My favorite place to shop for Magnolia Stamps is Magnolia-licious Online Store, the owner Diana Crick is wonderful and so is the service.

The bench is from Sugar Plums. The eggs are a stamp from Craftsmart, bought in the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby. I used the Martha Stewart punch floral vine and Spellbinders curved rectangles. The card stock is bazzill. The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is a digital freebie, I forget where it is from. The bling is from my stash.

MORE CHRISTMAS TAGS

Well, Christmas is right around the corner and there is just so much to get done. For the last few years I have not put up all of the decorations and  large tree. But, this year is going to be different. Even though I will probably be spending the holiday in Georgia with my sister and her family. I am still going to decorate the whole house this year with lights and everything. But, today I just wanted to share some more tags that I recently played around with.

The stamps are from Recollections and Penny Black is the sleigh. I used Tim Holtz distressed inks for the background. The stamps were stamped with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with Inkadinkado gold embossing powder. The leaves and berries were colored with copic markers R24, R29, G24 and then I added 4 red rhinestoens to the berries. The ribbon is from my stash. The large tag I got at Michaels. The paper was sprayed with shimmer mist for a little sparkle. although it does not seem to show up to well in my photo.

BIG BUCKLE CHRISTMAS CARDS

Hi all, I am back again with a wonderful easy new card to share with your. This week over at Stampin Dymonz Scrap Shack I am moderator for the Card Making Group and the card for the week is the Big Buckle Card. This is one of those cards that I will be making again and again. It is easy and there was no coloring involved.

There is embossing, both dry and heat. DCWV DP, Cuttlebug embossing snowflake folder, The Paper Company cardstock. Penny Black stamp. Well, that is all there is for the card. how easy is that. And that makes 3 more for my stash.

JOY TO THE WORLD

Wow, Monday is almost over and what a busy day it was. Busy at work. After work activity. Finished that at 7 pm and then to Hobby Lobby to buy a small Christmas tree and decorations. Hobby Lobby had all of their Christmas decorations 50% off. I got the cutestes little tabletop tree for 4 bucks. Once I get it decorated I will post some pictures of. I decided that since I was going to be doing some visiting during the Holidays that it was not worth the effort to pull out the big tree and everything that goes with it. So I bought some things to decorate my wreath and a really cute santa for another table top and I will probably string some lights around the patio.  But, now I want to post a new set of cards that I started this morning just because I loved the paper and there are still so many snow or holiday challenges around. I could not resist. These cards were so easy to put together, I wish I had thought of them sooner.

The DP papers are from a pad that I bought at Tuesday Mornings, I wish that I had bought two of them. It is called Jack Frost Specialty Collection from Momento. There are only 12 sheets of paper, 2 sheets per design. They are just gorgeous. Plus the pad only cost $2.99. Some of the papers are foil, some are embossed already. I used the snowflake folder from cuttlebug and the sentiment is from Penny Black Christmas set that I bought on clearance at Hobby Lobby several months ago. GLORIOUS TREES OF FALL

Hi all, I am back from my walk and errands and here with another post. This one is fall. I am so glad that I am through making Halloween projects. This one is inspired by a photo from Crafty Hos' Challenge Blog

Now, here is my card.

I love this corrugated cardboard. I bought it so long ago. It was in a pack of paper scraps and it came in all of these wonderful colors.  I stamped the image, which is a Penny Black image that I recently bought at Hobby Lobby for 50% off, which I used dew drop ink (cosmic copper). I used the new Spellbinders nestibilities, Peony that I bought at Hobby Lobby for $8.99. How good is that. I used the fancy tag for my sentiment which was stamped from a clear set from my stash. The ribbon is from that fabulouse package that I won from Midnight Madness, isn't it gorgeous. The bling and papers are all from my stash.

Well, the weekend is almost over and finally I have something to post. It is not like I haven't been working, because I have. I finished off two card orders that I need to deliver tomorrow. One was for 36 notecards, matching of course. I love my cricut and cuttlebug. There was embossing and her monogram of each. And let us not forget my xyron 250. This thing has been sitting in my office for over a year and I bet I have not used it more than twice before today. And for over six months I have been gluing all the initials by hand. 3 per card. What was I thinking (I wasn't thinking) otherwise I would have been using the xyron. How many of you, buy different tools and then don't use them? How many different tools do you have that have never been used? Tomorrow I am going through all of my stuff to see just what I own and I am going to start using it and that means I have to get it out of the drawers and boxes.

Oh well on to my card. A couple of weeks ago when I was in Chicago, I visited with my best friend and she mentioned to me that she had just had an anniversary the day before. My mouth fell open. I could not believe that I had forgotten. I was the matron of honor in their wedding. The next thing she said was, "I did not get you card, you always send us a card". She was right. I have never forgotten her anniversary in 9 years. So my excuse was that I had been busy, but it would be in the mail soon. well her and her husbands birthdays are in 2 weeks. So, I have 2 more cards to get ready for the mail. But, I finished the anniversary card and here it is.

The card is red gold and cream. The image is from Digital Doodling by Wendy. I love her images and this silhouette was just perfect. My friends have been happily married for 10 years. They are one of the few couples that I know who actually work together to make it work. You don't have one pulling this way and the other pulling the other. There are days that I wish I had what they have. The sentiment is from a Penny Black Christmas stamp set that I bought at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago for less that $4. there are a total of 5 stamps included. So it was a deal. The papers were all from my scrap file. I have way to much paper in my scraps. So I am working to use some of it. The roses are from a goodie bag that a really good friend gave me months ago, I don't think that I will ever get to the bottom of the bag. The bling is from my stash. I punched the leaves with a Martha Stewart punch. I think that they will like it. I am going to do the inside of the card before I mail it.

There are a few challenges that I would like to enter this card into. The first is the sketch. It is from Secret Crafter.

I changed the shapes but, the sketch is still there.

DISTRESSED - VINTAGE - SHABBY - OLD - WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE

I  have an announcement. TELLEN' PLACE DESIGNS will be back on September 10, 2010 with our first challenge after summer vacation. Please stop by and check us out. Our challenges are moving from Wednesday to Friday. And instead of being every week. We are now going to be held every other Friday. But, between challenges there will be lots going on.

Have you ever visited a challenge blog and think I have to enter a challenge here. But, you have to use images from that particular company. And you don't have any. Or you only have one that you have already used several times. Well that is how it has been for me. I have wanted to enter the challenges at Penny Black Saturday Challenge or Penny Black @ Alsorts Challenge. I did not have the images to do this. I have a friend who owns stamps that go on forever and she had some Penny Black stamps that she loaned me. Some she has had for years. Well, I can finally enter the challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts a monthly challenge. This month it is Punches.

My image was colored with copics E21, E31, E33, E25, E53, G20, G21, G24, G09, G40, YG63, Y02, Y04. The punch used was a $1 flower punch that has been in my stash for ages. The 2 DP papers is from the Wisteria pad by Basic Grey. The card stock is from the scrap pile. I have got to use more scraps or I am going to run out of space to keep it. I used my new set of Label 10 to cut the image and back ground (embossed  with Cuttlebug and cuttlebug embossing folder?). I found this wonderful little tool by Tim Holtz that is used to distress the paper. I love this thing. This is the first time  that I have tried to distress the paper that I actuall y like the result. I had planned to take a picture of it. But, I forgot. The next time I post a card I will show the tool. Did I say that I love it. I bought it at Hobby Lobby for $4.99. But, I think it is worth every penny.  I used my coupon on something else that day. The ink used on the edges of the papers was Dew Drop Versa magic Chalk ink, spanish olive. I also stamped the sentiment in this. I colored the white paper flowers with copics. I punched the center flower with the $1 punch and the brads are from my stash. The charm is also from the stash. I used the green and yellow spica glitter pen on the outfit and flower but not to much. I think this card turned out really good. And I am very happy with the skin tone. Friends Forever

Good morning, I am back. First let me get the business side out o the way. I am adding some items to the blog candy. You can click on the picture at the side bar and go to the blog candy post. There you will find the new items on the list.

Now, I have a new card to post. I have been very busy this weekend. I have made two new cards, some ATC's and even have a couple of other cards in the works. I have orders for 2 sets of note cards that I have got to get started on. WOW, that does not include the fact that I finished putting together my new grill and all of the household errands and work that I have taken care of. It has really been a busy time. But, I am glad to have it all out of the way. Now, lets get to that card. This card is all about friendship. The sketch is from Basic Grey Challenges.

The next challenge is at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The challenge is buttons galore. Plus, for a Penny Black challenge  you have to use a Penny Black image. And to my surprise I already had one colored up on my bulletin board just waiting to be used. I had planned to send a friend a card and just never got to it. So, this is the card I will send. The next challenge is at Stamptacular Sunday challenge Blog it calls for spots and dots.  The next challenge is at Pixie Dust Studios things with wings, I think that my butterflies come under that heading.  Now a little about the card. The card base is Bazzill (love this paper). All ofthe DP is from Basic Grey Lemonade pad. I am going to need another pad soon. The image was colored with my copics. But, it has been so long and I don't remember exactly what was used. But mostly it was blues and reds. The flowers are all Primas from the summer and spring mixes. The buttons are from Paper Studio. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch (cornices) that I bought for $3.99 at Tuesday Mornings this weekend. The butterfly punch is from my stash. The big butterfly is from Jolie. I used my scalloped nesstibilities circle to punch out the circle stamp from Inkadinkado. The bling is from my stash. The letters for the words forever are from my scrapbook stash. and I made the card an easel card. I do love the way they look.
