SPRING TIME/EASTER

Good morning, I am here with a short post. I had a chance to play with Tilda and decided it was time for a little more springtime. This is the first time that I have used so many stamps and images on one project. I wanted to make a scene look like a park. The tree is a Penny Black stamp (splendor 3977H), the tulips are Magnolia as is Tilda. My favorite place to shop for Magnolia Stamps is Magnolia-licious Online Store, the owner Diana Crick is wonderful and so is the service.

The bench is from Sugar Plums. The eggs are a stamp from Craftsmart, bought in the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby. I used the Martha Stewart punch floral vine and Spellbinders curved rectangles. The card stock is bazzill. The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is a digital freebie, I forget where it is from. The bling is from my stash.

All images were colored with copics:

Tilda- E00, E11, E13, E09, E25, G21, G24, G12, Y13, Y15 and spica lemon and mint glitter pens
Tulips- Y13, Y15, Y17, Y19, Y21 and spica lemon/buttermilk glitter pen
Chick - Y13, Y15, Y35
Eggs - RV06, RV19,RV21 and spica pink glitter pen.
The bench - E25, E27, E29

Well, that is it for this card. I will be entering it into the following challenges. I hope that you have enjoyed your visit. I will return soon.

THANK YOU WITH MUSIC

Good morning, I am so happy to be here posting another one of my projects. I have to say that I really did miss not being around for the last few weeks. I have so many new projects that I have not posted yet and will be glad to get them out there.

A couple of months ago when my daughter started her masters in nursing program, she pledge with the nursing soriety. She asked me to make a card for a lady who teaches music and who had worked with her group to teach them the song of the soriety. This is the card that I came up with. She wanted it to be music related and I finally got to use some of the music related products that I have bought over the last couple of years.

The card stock is all Bazzill, the music paper is from the Paper Studio, the embossed musical sheet is from cuttlebug, the piano is from Magnolia a part of the New years set from a couple of years ago. It was colored with copics and I used C1, C3, C5.  The thank you stamp is from a set that by The paper Studio. music and the symbol is from a musical set of stamps and I forget who made it.
The embossing on the inside is also from cuttlebug, it is their thank you folder.  The thank you sentiment is from Inkadinkado, I think. I will check this out and come back and update. I really enjoyed making this card and my daughter loved it.

One of the new challenge blogs that I have started visiting is having a DT call, I think that I would like to try out for it, Fashionista Challenge Blog. This is going to be my entry.

TIME FOR A FUN WEEKEND

Good morning, I am so happy to be off on a 3 day weekend. Means that there will be lots of time for crafting and cleaning in that order. There are a couple of things that I need to talk about before I get to my card for today. First, can you believe  that I have been blogging for almost 3 years. It just amazes me. When I first started I did not think that I would last a week let alone 3 years. So, with that said very soon I will be announcing my 3RD ANNIVERSARY CANDY. It will run about a month. Since I do enjoy a long celebration. Secondly, I still have my 350 followers candy going. Please come on and me get there so that I can get the prize out of my way. So yes there will be 2 candies going at the same time. Anybody who knows about me, knows that I love a good deal and when I find one, I always buy more than I need and I don't mind sharing with people who will appreciate it. Well, that is all about the candy accept, I will start going through my stash very soon looking for the goodies that I will be giving away for my anniversary.

Ok, the real reason I am here is to post a new card that I made a few months ago when one of my co-workers decided to move on to bigger and better things. We, gave here a little going away gift and I made her a going away card. She was one of my best customers when it came to ordering cards for different occasions and she never quibbled about the cost as a lot of people will do.

Yes, a  Kenny K image was used along with the suitcases from Magnolia stamps. I used copics for coloring  and I could not find my list of colors used. The papers are Bazzil, I really love their cardstock, with the textures and without. The sentiment for typed on the computer, I used the crop-i-dile cloud corner punch and the ek sucess edge punch which punches two ways, on the edge of a strip. I do love this punch and saw another one that I would love to have. The bling is from my stash. Well there is really not very much that I can say about this card. So I will get right to the challenges.

Jackson's Digital Anything Goes (with optional sketch)
Tammy's Scrapin Corner  Lots of layers
The Perfect Sentiments Anything Goes with a sentiment

It is time to say goodbye, but I will return soon with a new project. Have a wonderful weekend.

5TH BIRTHDAY CARD

Good morning, it is a rather foggy cool morning here in the south. But, I am getting things done. I am in the process of working on my craft room and it has been slow going since I painted the walls about  8 months ago. Storage is my issue. Before, the tornados hit here in April, I was putting together my storage system, (the box cubes (dark wood) I bought at Hobby Lobby, well Hobby Lobby got blowed away with a lot of other property and we still don't have one here in town. So, I have had to drive over 50 miles each way to get to a Hobby Lobby. If you know any thing about me you know that I love a good deal or sale or coupon use. I won't buy a cube without a 40% coupon. and that is another of the reasons that it is taking me so long. Hobby Lobby only allows you to use one coupon per visit. So I normally have to go into the store at least twice when I drive that far.. But, hurray for us, Hobby Lobby will be opening in February not 5 minutes from my home. Oh well, enough about my storage drama and on to my card.

The card that I am showing today is a birthday card made for a special little girl who turned five a few weeks ago. When she was born the doctors' told her parents that she would never walk or talk and that she would not live very long. Well, guess what, she does all of those things. Yes, she has some issues, but she is a sweet loving child who walks and talks and she loves monkeys. So her card had to have a monkey on the front and the envelope. I used several stamps on this card because I wanted it to be special for her. Her aunt told me that her favorite colors were pink and brown. So those are the colors that I chose. One of the stamps was Tilda, from Magnolis stamps. The monkey is from Stampendous. The sentiments stamps are from my stash, I really don't remember who makes them. I know the smaller is a $1 stamp from Michael's. I typed the Happy 5th birthday on my computer.

The images were colored with copics, but I can't find my list to say what they were. The card stock is Bazzill and the DP is My minds eye. I do love how this card turned out.

TILDA BIRTHDAY PARTY

Good morning everyone. Before I get to my post for today, I would like to ask that you say a prayer for the town of Tuscaloosa, AL. This is where I live and on Wednesday evening a mile wide tornado touched down and wiped out a part of our city and killed many people. I am ok and my area has no damage, but I have not been to work because the lights are still out in that area and although the company property has no damage there was damage at other companies surrounding ours. It has been a very sad and traumatic time for everyone. This weekend I plan to go out and try to help with the clean up or to help those who have lost everything that they own.

My card today is another birthday  card, this time for a 12 year old who is the granddaughter of a friend. The image was colored with copics E00, E11, E13, E23, E25, RV0000, RV11, RV21, RV63, spica blossom and pink glitter pens.

Other products used:
The Paper Studio
Momento Ink
Spellbinders Nestabilities
Magnolia (Tilda)

Cuttlebug
Flowers, bling and buttons from stash

TILDA IS BACK THINKING ABOUT YOU

Wow, the weekend is almost over and I am finally finishing up some projects. and have something to post. I have not been using as many Tilda images as I used to. And I felt like I have been missing something in the last little whil. Tilda is such a cutie and can be incorporated into so many different types of cards. So I decided to use one of my favorite Tilda, and I have never been able to remember what she is called. But, I like to call her Tilda Sitting.  I know it doesn't matter what she is called. Magnolias can be bought at the Magnolia-licious Online Store, it is currently down for maintenance so be sure to check back later.

I am still learning my new camera and have not mastered it yet. So this pic was taken with my older camera. I don't know why, but I am not happy with either picture. my colors look dull and brown looks black the other colors look flat. Well, Tilda was colored with copics E00, E11, E13, E51, E53, E09. I used the spica chocolate and gold glitter pens. I embossed the brown card stock with the hearts embossing folder from Cuttlebug, The strawberry paper is Basic Grey. The ribbon came off of something that I purchased. The roses are Recollections. The bling heart is from my stash. The red card stock is Bazzill. the Spellbinders is the Beaded ovals set. I think that it was perfect for sitting Tilda on it. I typed the sentiment on the computer.

The sketch is from Just Magnolia

TILDA IN THE SPRINGTIME

"I AM SO EXCITED, THIS CARD WAS A WINNER AT TOTALLY GORJUSS, #64 HOT! HOT! HOT!.

Happy Sunday everyone. I know that I have not been posting as much as I did last year and I am just trying to get some things under control. I spent so much time on the computer during the last year that there were many things in my life that totally went out of control. One of those things has been my weight. Another was my reading and journaling. I used to visit the library every week, I have not been once in the last year. I keep a journal and over the last year I seem to always be weeks and months behind on doing that. And since so much of my time was blog hopping, I found that I did not design projects as much as I wanted to. I was always wanting to try new techniques, but found that there was never enough time. So one of my goals for this year is to have a certain time to visit my favorite blogs and leave comments. And with my Design team duties, I have to be organized. I also want to find more time for some of the new techniques that I have been wanting to try. So please just bear with me. I am trying to get things worked out. Another thing that I will be doing this year is learning to use my new camera and (yes I was able to get registered for the photography class that I was looking at) I talked to the photographer and I have paid my money. The class will be starting in February and it is 3 sessions (3 weeks) for 3 hours each. They will be on Mondays. This particular photographer does a lot of field trips, so we will be spending a lot of time out in the field. This should be great. I will be working on a lot more scrapbook pages than cards. My card stash is huge and I don't see having to make cards for my family for the rest of the year and into the next. So since my photos have really been piling up and I have lots of new things that I will be photographing, I think that scrapbook layouts are the way for me to go. Plus, I have been buying a lot of items that I want to alter. So look for that in the near future.

Ok, I have a new project to share today and I will try to keep this short. I love Magnolia stamps and it has been a while since I have used any of them. Today my project is Tilda.. I am not sure what she is called, she was a gift and the name was not on the package. So if any body knows please tell me. My favorite place to buy Magnolia stamps is the Magnolia-licious Online Store which is owned by Diana Crick and her husband. The customer service is fabulous and I am looking to stop by and get a couple of the new Magnolia mini images. I have only seen a few of them but, they are just so cute. And I know I need to add a couple of them to my collection.

Now here is my card.

I don't use yellow very much but, with the cold and dreary weather that we have been having here in Alabama, I needed something to cheer me up. Just so you know I did not use my new camera to take this picture. I was in a hurry to get it done and I just used my old one. Since this image was colored with copics months ago I have not been able to find my notes on which I used. The base is bazzill and the 3 design papers are from the Basic Grey lemonade pad. I have to tell you that I love Basic Grey, but the lemonade pad is one of my favorites. (If you have a Big Lots store near you, you should know that they have been having basic grey assesories in stock since Christmas, I first saw them when I was in Georgia, then I was in the store here and found lots more. They have some brads, buttons and even had several clear stamps that I bought. so you should check it out if you like Basic Grey, the price is definitly right). Both sentiment stamps come from the same clear stamp set, and I have thrown the packaging away so I don't remember the maker, but it is a set that I bought at Hobby Lobby. I used the circle Spellbinders and the button flowers are from my stash. The color of them just went so perfect with my papers and the flower that Tilda is holding. The two yellow brads and the yellow ribbon is from my stash. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday.

Well this is it for now. I will be back with another creation soon. Thanks for stopping by and I would love to read your comments.

WINTER WONDERLAND LEADS TO CHRISTMAS

"This card made Top 3 at the Pixie Cottage Challenge Blog"

Wow, don't you just love to have a whole day to do whatever you want to do. Well, I do. And that is what is going on today. I took a vacation day. A day to do whatever. So far, I have taken all of the cards that I received from my birthday club this year (24 of them) and put them on scrapbook pages and prettied the pages up and now they are ready to go into the scrapbook. This little project has been sitting around since February. I will be having another birthday in a few months. I have been out and run several errands. Been to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Big Lots and the Credit Union gotten gas and been to the bank. Now I am really ready to play.

The card that I have today is one that I made over the weekend and just never had time to post it. It is a winter scene, using The Magnolia winter trees and little birdie. Magnolia stamps can be bought at the Magnolia-licious Online Store, Diana has wonderful customer service.

I used copics on the little birdie and to outline the trees B0000 and B02. The papers are bazzill and the foil paper with the snowflakes is from a pad that I bought at Tuesday Morning months ago. It is all Christmas designs. I used diamond stickles on the trees and the ground. One of my layers is embossed with the snowflake folder from Cuttlebug. The bling is from my stash. I used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch for the large snowflake and the small one is from the Paper Studio. The sentiment is a $1 clear stamp from Michales. Yes, there are challenges.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

"This card won the November challenge at Copic Musketeers Challenge Blog"

Good morning, we are half way through the week and if somebody has some extra time to spare, please send me a few hours. I could really use them. I am here posting this and it will have to be short. It is almost 6 am and I am in the process of getting ready for work. I have one annoucement this morning and then I will get on to my card..

Time is running out for my blog candy. So if you would like a chance to get in on it. Click on the picture on the side bar, leave a comment and become a follower. The deadline is November 19, 2010 and I will need a couple of days to go through the comments and match them to the followers list. I wish I had gotten mr. linky. Oh well! I will announce the winners as soon as possible after the drawing.

Now on to my card. This is another Birthday card, this one was for a little girl who likes frogs and turtles. But, she is a girly girl. Her favorite colors are orange and green. So I went with a fall color theme. Her mom, who is a friend of mine, thinks that she will love it. I know that I did and so did the mom. It amazes me how many people like my cards and don't mind paying for them. I got another order just because somebody saw this card and wanted me to make them one.

I used my favorite Tilda. she was colored with my copics E00, E11, E13, YR14, YR15, YR18, YR31, YR65, spica orange and lemon. The place to buy Magnolia stamps is from the Magnolia-licious Online Store.  The castle is a Jolie sticker set for the princess. I stuck it on a piece of card stock and then scanned it. Now I will be able to use it over and over again. After scanning it I colored it with my copics  E50, E51, E53, Y14, spica orange, chocolate and gold. The frog is from Sunshine and Giggles. I won a really fabulous prize from Midnight Madness and part of the prize was images from Sunshine and Giggles.  The flowers are from Recollections at Michaels. The bling is from my stash as is the ribbons. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the swirly folder and the swiss dots and the birthday folder. I used my Spellbinders fancy ribbon tags. and to cut the embossed happy birthday pieces. The stamped sentiment are from a clear stamp set. The sentiment was found on a very old card that I bought at the Dollar Tree. I don't know who wrote it.  Well, I think that is all for this card. I hope that you can be inspired by my work. and would love to hear from you. There are challenges because I just can't help myself. The sketch is from Allsorts Challenge blog.

MY LITTLE PRINCESS

Happy Sunday everyone, do you know the only thing wrong with Sunday? The only thing wrong with Sunday is that it is to close to Monday and that means it is almost time to go back to work to earn some money to make some more scrapbook pages and cards. I love my job and will be glad to get back there (smile). I have been very busy this weekend. This is my 3rd card to post and I have been working on orders of note cards for friends.  I also have a couple of orders for birthday cards. One is for a seven year old and one is for a 59 year old. I love this craft.

My card today is a Tilda, I have missed her and had to get something done. The sketch used is from Midnight Madness I am running a little late.

Here she is my little Princess:

Isn't she gorgeous. The store to buy Magnolia's is Magnolia-licious Online Store, Diana is wonderful and has the bes customer service. A little about my card. It was colored with copics all from the R family. I can not find my notes. Sorry about that. The Spellbinders Nestibilities is one of the latest, I won in a challenge at Colour Create which was sponsored by Michelle's Scraps I love both of these sites. The flowers are from my stash and some were won from another site. Do you see a trend here? I have won several challenges and other prizes in the last two months. I love this craft. The card base is Bazzill, the lace was given to me in a goodie bag by my friend Pam when I first started blogging. So that has been over a year almost.  I don't think that I have ever used the lace with the pink. The embossed papers are handmade from The Paper Studio. The sentiment is from Hobby Lobby's clearance isle. The grouped pearls are Prima, but the individual pears are Martha Stewart and were bought when Michaels was having a clearance on all of her stuff,  and I colored them to go with the card. I punched the leaves with the Martha Stewart leaf punch. The DP is also from The Paper Studio. I colored over parts of the clothes with my pink spica glitter pen. Well that is it for this card. And yes, there are challenges.

Totally Tilda Pink and Pearls

Well, I guess this is it for this card. I will see you soon, but now it is time to make some money.

FALLING FOR YOU

"THIS CARD WAS A WINNER AT INKTEGRITY DESIGN TEAM CHALLENGE" CHALLENGE #15

Everyone is talking about it being fall and the leaves and grass changning colors. That is one of  the few things that I miss about living in Illinois. The changing of the seasons. Here in Alabama everything is still green and it is still over 90 degrees. But, I try not to complain to much, because if this winter is like last winter I am in no hurry for it to get here. I wish we could have temperatures between 65 and 78 all the time. that would be so perfect. Some rain every now and again for the farmers and the grass and trees. Oh well, nothing is perfect.

So I guess I will get on to my card. From the title you will guess that this is a fall card. Which is true. I have animals and birds. And I think that this one turned out really good.  Let me say that I have been using papers from my scrap file and that this card was made completely from scrap papers. The little girl image is a freebie that I got sometime last year and I think that it is a Cute Daisy May image (now Whoopsi Daisy ) if I am wrong I hope someone will let me know. The little bird is Magnolia, you know my favorite place for Magnolias is the Magnolia-licioous Online Store, Diana is the owner and the customer service is awesome.
The tree, the rake  and are Jolie stickers, bought for little of nothing on clearance. I got one for each season. This one is called autumn. The squirrl is a $1 stamp that I have had a while. . The images were colored with my copics. E00, E11, E13, E24, E32 G21, G24, YR14, YR15, YR18, Y17, W1, W3. As I said earlier, the papers are all from my scrap file. The bling is from my stash and the sentiment was typed on the computer. I used the cuttlebug to emboss the brown paper with the swirl embossing folder. The faux stitching on the base circle was done with a copic.  The circles were cut with the Spellbinders Nestibilities circles.

The sketch is from Inktegrity Design Team Challenges:

And, yes I have challenges that I will be entering this card into.
Crafty Sentiments Designs Use your scraps
Crafty Creations Falling Leaves
A Crafty Little Place Brown Green Orange
Raise The Bar Bundle Up (jacket/scarf) I think this one is covered
Creative Inspirations Two or more stamped images. (I go that)
Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturdays  Real or Faux stitching
Flutter by Wednesday's This week only use winged things other than butterflies, angels and fairies. I got a bird.
Stamp Something Something with fall colors
Paper Cutz Critters

Well, I guess that is all for now. I hope to be back soon with a project that is totally out of my comfort zone. Let me know if your like this. I would love to hear from you.

VINTAGE TILDA

Happy Sunday all, I am back with another card. This one is Vintage. My very first vintage card. I really did not have a clue how to go about this. But, I talked to a friend and she walked me through the types of papers to use. She said that I should use muted colors and things that look antique/old. The lace is from a goodie bag that she gave me a few months ago.  The papers are some that my daughter bought for me last year when the Michaels in her area closed down and they clearanced out everything I don't remember who made it but it worked well. The whole pad was sort of vintage.  I colored the Tilda image with my Copics; R00, E000, E31, E13, E51. The best place to buy Magnolia stamps is The Magnolia-licious Online Store.
The flowers are from Recollections at Michaels. The leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is stamped on one of the fancy tags from Spellbinders. The card base is Bazzill. (have you noticed that I love this paper). The pearls are from Martha Stewart and were bought when Michaels clearanced out over half of her products earlier this year. The stitching was done with my new Pixie Craft Sewing Machine.

Now here is my card. The sketch is from Friday Sketchers.

The Just Magnolia challenge is Vintage. I think that my card is just that.
Raise the Bar Distressed, torn, ripped or broken (I used sandpaper on the edges of the papers)
Clearly I Stamp Gratitude
Magnolia Stamp Lovers paper piecing

Well, that is it for this card. I hope that you like it. I did enjoy making it and will try again to do vintage.

SUMMER TIME MEANS VACATIONS

Wow, I am back once again with another card. I did not think that I would make it. When I was here earlier, I failed to mention that I had attended a Copics class yesterday. It was held at the closest scrapbook store. When I say closest. I mean the only true scrapbook store in my area. It is located about 45 miles from here. The class was taught by Christine who is on the Design team for Simon Says Stamp. She is also on the design team for Scrapbook Mania. I learned some things that I didn't know. And it helped me to see where I was doing some things not quite correctly. It was interesting and made for a nice outing. My next goal is to become a certified Copics user.

Now to my card. I used three stamps on this card. one is the background stamp which is from The Pixie Cottage.  It is the tree stump with the bench and flowers. It is one of the stamps that I won from the Pixie Cottage right before my computer died. The second stamp is from Magnolia, it is the Tilda eating an icecream. My favorite Magnolia store is Magnolia-Licious Online Store it is owned and run by the wonderful Diana Crick. Stop by and see her. The customer service is great. The third stamp is the sentiment and it is from the $1 bin at Michaels. The sketch is from Just Magnolia.

I colored my card with my Copics. E13, E31, E29, E29, E57, E53, B21, B32, G17, G07, G21, G24, R20, R81, R83, YO4,  W3, W5, W7. I used my spica glitter pens to give a little sparkle to the flowers. I colored in the sky and grass to make it more like a scene. I used small pop dots to pop Tilda up and make it more three dimensional. The roses are from Prima. I used the Martha Stewart lace punch I like this one because it pucnches on both sides of the paper. And it is simple to use. Some of her punches, although they are pretty. You have to work to hard to use them. The card stock is Bazzill and the other DP papers are a mixture of Basic Grey. The pastel stripe I am not sure where that came from. I also, used the Martha Stewart leaf punch. The butterfly stamp is one of my $1 stamps. I am entering this card into several challenges and they are:
Alphabet Challenge L is for lace
Flutter by Wednesday Fairies, Angels or Butterflies
Crafty Anns Challenge ASir Richarad Song (Summer Holiday)
Secret Crafter Summer Holiday
Sweet Stampin Challenge They had an inspiration photo. I pulled my colors from there
Crafty Card Makers Photo inspiration (green blue yellow)

Well I guess that is it for tonight. I hope that you like my card. And I would love to hear from you. Have a good and productive week. I will see you back here soon.

I AM BACK ONLINE

Hi all, it is so good to be back. While I was gone I did a little work... sorry that I did not track the copics that I used. Mostly I made birthday cards and I got a little creative on one project which I will come back later and post. This card was made for a member of my Yahoo Birthday card. I used one of the Tilda's.
Here is the first card.

My favorite place to shop for Magnolia stamps is the Magnolia-licious Online Store. Since I have been without a computer I have not had much chance for shopping. But, now Diana can expect me to come and pay her a visit. I love that store.

I have been gone for so long. Please leave a little love and let me know what you think. I'm so glad to be back.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR (A NEW BEGINNING)

Good morning, can you smell it. The air is beginning to smell differently. The trees are starting to bloom the grass it starting to go from brown to green and the flowers are starting to sprout up. And the pollen is starting to harrass my nose and throat. I woke up this morning with eyes, ears and throat itching. I did not even leave the house yesterday. I will definitely need an allergy pill today. But, yes I am feeling better from yesterday and will be returning to work today. So I wanted to get this post in before it was time to leave.

Today is Wednesday and on Wednesday's the "Tellen's Place Divas" get busy. We have a new challenge for you today and to see the Design Team creations please, go on over to Tellen's Place and take a look or you can visit each of the Design Team members at their blogs which you can get to from my side bar. The theme this week is "SPRING IS IN THE AIR". Terry is giving away a free image of Jessica riding her bicycle. This is the image that I have used to make my card. But, you will have to go to Tellen' Place to get the free image.

The blue base of my card and green card stock are Bazzill, the DP which has spring time all over it is from my scrapbook stash. I don't know where half of that paper came from I have had it for so long. The sun and cloud stamp is from the Michaels $1 bin. The blooming tree is a Magnolia tree which I received in a goodie bag from a friend. But, I bet that Diana at the Magnolia-licious Online Store either has it in stock or she can order it. I'm not sure, but you can ask her.  The sentiment is one that I wrote on the computer. Jessica was colored with my Copics. And I used some different colors for the skin and hair.

Skin: E02, E31
Eyes: E37, E40
Hair: E00, E18, E25

Scrapbook Mania Contest

Good morning every one. I feel like I have been slacking off, I only posted one card over the weekend because there was just so much going on. But, not to worry I will be posting one later on this evening.... Just as soon as I can get in from work.

I was just sitting here thinking about how many places there were in my area where I could buy my supplies and it struck me that there really aren't many. Michaels and Hobby Lobby right here in town but there are still things that I can't get there. I can not find Basic Grey paper or every Copic pen. Hobby Lobby is the only store that sells the Copics and they don't carry every color. So what is a girl to do. I did find Scrapbook mania a few weeks ago. It was great. they had Magnolia Stamps, Copic pens. They even had colors that I could only get by ordering online, they also had some basic grey paper. The owner of the store was very friendly and out going. She made the experience more fun for us. And now she has a contest going to win some Maggies and I want to win.  So if you are in the area around Bessemer, AL. Drop in and tell India that I sent you. I really do want those stamps.

November sketch

Hi all,
I am back again, this time with Tilda and her rolling pin. I did not have any stamps that had any thing to do with cooking. But, I loved the pink, blue and brown paper and I just colored her to match it using my Copic markers, I think I am getting better with them. This card is for the November sketch over at  the Magnolia-licious challenge blog.

The paper is some I had left over from my granddaughters scrapbook, which I made for her 8th grade graduation. She loved it. The brads just keep hanging around and the flowers are from Michaels. Oops, I did not use my Cuttlebug this time. I did not think that the papers needed any enhancing this time. I hope you like it. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Tilda with patches

Hi all,
I am back. This time with a birthday card using Tilda in patches using my favorite color in many shades (purple). I started out just practicing coloring with my Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits along with Sprica glitter pens. I say practice because I have never worked with the mineral spirits and I truly did not know what I was doing. But after finishing the image I decided that I liked it and so I showed it to a few of my scrapbooking group and they loved it. So here it is .

The lightest part of Tilda's coveralls was colored with a purple Spica glitter pen, I took a chance. Then I used the pencils to color the blouse and patches in different shades of purple. Took the teal glitter pen and did the buttons on her coveralls, thought that would work and then I took my teal blue Copic pen and colored her socks. I loved it.

The flowers are from Big Lots and Michaels, all of the paper is from Hobby Lobby's Paper Studio. Of course I used the Cuttlebug's embossing folders, 3 of them. The ribbon is from my stash, which is growing fast. The inside of the card is decorated with some $1 stickers from Michaels. And the make a wish stamp I picked up at Tuesdays Mornings while I was out shopping today, cost  $.99. The only thing I am still having a problem with is lighting for my photos. So bare with me, I will get it eventually.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of my latest Tilda.

White Birthday card featuring Tilda with birthday cake

I can't beleive that I am back so soon with another posting. But, here I am. This time with a Magnolia stamp of Tilda with a birthday cake. I did not realize that this would be so much fun. I certainly never saw myself as a blogger, but as I said before, here I am.

My card tonight is all white, the textured paper is by Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby as is the organdi ribbon. The white snowflake brads are from Michaels. Just so you know, these are the only 2 stores that have a large selections of scrapbook and card making products. Anyway, the flowers were $1 from Big Lots, every now and then they have some really nice items for very little money.

After coloring Tilda with my Copic pens, I used my new Spica glitter pens to go over her dress to make it shimmer. I also used them on the cake and her socks. My Cuttlebug was used to texturize the paper to which I pop dotted Tilda to it to make her stand out. The birthday greeting was cut with my Cricut and then I coated the words with VersaMark and sprinkled crystal snow on top to make them glitter. I find myself trying all kinds of new things to make my projects look better.

I am still learning the best settings on my camera and the best lighting in my rooms to get the best shots. So please bear with me. I will get better.  I hope you like it. Please leave your comments, I enjoy hearing from you.
