Good morning and it is so good to be getting life back to normal. This has been a very busy time for me and I have not had much time for blogging. Last week I was at a craft show for 2 days and it was my first. I spent the last 2 months getting ready for it. Not knowing what would sale was hard. I made what I thought would sale and I did not do to bad. I made some contacts and had fun. I came home with more money than I left with. I got some orders for birthday cards. So all in all it was not a bad time. I was asked to participate next year and agreed to do. So, I will have more time to prepare. Here is a picture of my table. The room was sort of dark in the area that my table was located.

One of the orders that I received from the craft show was for a birthday card. But, she did not want it to say Happy Birthday on the card. It was for a 12 year old that is a huge fan of the University of Alabama football team. She loves crimson and white, which is the team colors along with the houndstooth pattern. She wanted to be able to put a photo of her daughter on the inside and after seeing a card I had made with a bookmark attached, she wanted one of those also. So, I had fun putting this card together. The daughters nickname is Sparkle, so I added the stars and bling and the base layer was coated with some liquid glitter and dried after embossing with the cuttlebug stars embossing folder. I then used a new folder from cuttlebug. I think it was more of a valentine folder, there were 5 or 6 folders included and the one had lots of different words and sayings. I embossed the live, laugh and love section and used it. The daugher also loves butterflies so I used a few inside and out. The image is a Kenny K one, it was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, R24, R27, B21, B24, CI, C3, W3, W5, W7. The sentiment is from Michaels $1 bin, the bling is from my stash and the butterflies are Recollections. I left the right side blank so that the mother could write her own message.

The houndstooth paper is from the Paper Studio. I used a spellbinders to cut the frame for the photo, the dream stamp is from Michaels $1 bin. The border punch is Martha Stewart, it is one that I recently bought and I just love it. The ribbon is from my stash and the stamp on the right is also from the $1 bin at Michaels and I have had it forever. Well, that is it for my card. Now to find some challenges to enter it into. Have a great rest of the weekend, I will be back really soon with another post.
