It's Time for a Wedding

Good morning, I am really trying hard to get back into blogging more frequently and updating my blog. So, look for some changes to come as far as the way it looks and the content. But, today I will be posting a crafty project.

This is a card I made for a friends wedding a few weeks ago. I used this stamp which has been in my stash for a very long time and it was not in any packaging so I don't remember where I bought it and I could not read the signature on the stamp. If anyone knows the designer, please let me know. the Flowers are from Prima and Recollections. The stamp congratulations stamp is from Fiskars. the pearls are from the Michaels $1.50 bins. I embossed the front using the Cuttlebug Romance embossing folder and the card stock is from Michaels the 120 pound paper. The Bride really loved the card and it was a gorgeous wedding.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my blog.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE AUTUMN

Good morning bloggers. Another Saturday morning and time to get some crafting in. It is still hot here and I am looking forward to some 70 degree weather. But, fall is in the air in lots of places and I do love the colors of fall.  So today's card incorporates some of those colors.

The card stock for this card is from Recollections also. The Thankful for everything stamp is Inkadinkado. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder (birds and swirls). The image is from Inktegrity, The pumpkin on the bottom is from K and Company. I colored the image with copics, E33, E27, YG61, YG67, YR02, YR15, YR14 and I used the stardust glitter pen from gelly roll. I used Tim Holtz distress ink on the card base (vintage photo). So that is it for this card, I will be back soon with something new.

LET'S CELEBRATE

Wow, I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted one of my projects. Things around here have been really weird and I have not been feeling well for weeks and because of that I have not been able to focus on crafting.  Now it seems that I am getting better and I felt like putting something on my blog. This card was made months ago and it is a birthday card that I made for my daughter.

The image is one that I won from the "Crafty Purple Frog" The artwork is by Ching-Chou Kuik. I like the images because there is no coloring involved and it makes for a quick card or project. The bling is from my stash and the I used a spellbinder tag and the stamp is from Michaels $1 bin. I used the Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder and the card stock is Recollections.

I have berries, and black berries at that.  I colored them with my copics BV17, V01, V09, V15, YG06, YG03, G09. I needed to add a few cards to my stash so I made this a thinking of you card. The bling is from my stash. I used the Tim Holtz baroque die (large) to cut the die cut. I embossed the background with a cuttl bug folder that I bought on clearance and forgot to write down the name before I through away the packaging. I thought that this came out kind of cute. I edged the die cut with my gold leaf pen.

BROWN SUGAR VALENTINES CHALLENGE # 29 (WITH KENNY K)

Good morning it is time for another wonderful challenge at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog, this week we have the fabulous Kenny K's Krafty Krew as our sponsor and he gave us some fabulous images to play with with. I got this sexy cupid.

I colored the image with copics E11, E15, E13, E23, R24, R27 I colored the wings with a gold marker and then covered them with stickles. I use the spica pink and red glitter pens on her little outfit, boots and garter belt and the bow and arrows. I cut her out and then used foam tape to pop her up, the ticket for love is from K and Company's last years valentines borders. The happy valentines day sentiment is from Michaels $1.50 bin, I cut out 3 different spellbinders labels and layered them. The DP paper is Basic grey from a long time ago. The card stock is Recollections. The heart border is also from K and Company. The bling is from my stash. The base of the card is from Recollections corrugated card set. I really like these and you can use them for any type of card, they can be dressed up or dressed down.

I used the same DP on the inside of the card and have not added a sentiment yet. The top of the inside is embossed with a new set of valentine embossing folders from Cuttlebug, well they are not new, I got them of clearance this summer, they came with 4 folders total and I paid about $3 for them. It says live, laugh, love and romance. has hearts and other designs on it. Well, that is it for my card. So, go on over to Brown Sugars Blog and join in the fun. Tell them that I sent you. If you would like to visit some of the other Design Team members you can get to their blogs from my side bar. We would love for you to join us.

NEW BEGINNINGS

Since this is a New Year, I thought that my first crafty post of the year should be about new beginnings. So here is a card I made for a new baby. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and it is a card that I made for my daughter to give to a friend of hers. I really love the simplicity of this card and the new mother was thrilled.

.The image was colored with my copics E11, E13, E09, E15, V04, V12. I used the spica lilac glitter pen and the Cuttlebug baby embossing folder. The card stock is bazzil. That is it. So, I am going to keep this post short because I have some crafting to get back to. There is no work today and it is raining. I have all day to do whatever I want. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.

BIRTHDAY WISHES TO A GOOD FRIEND

I am back with another post (2 in one day). this time it is a birthday card for a good friend. Her birthday is the first of December and I need to get it in the mail soon.

The card base is one of the corragated cards from Recollections. They came out a couple of months ago and I got a box. The card size is 5.5x5.5. I used Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink to ink the edges of the card and papers. The image is by Bugaboo Stamps and she is Scarlett with packages. I like using this on birthday cards. She is colored with copics, B01, B02, B04, E09, E11, E13, E15, E18 and I used clear star gelly roll glitter pen for a little sparkle. The sentiments are from TPC Studio that I bought at Hobby Lobby. The card stock is from The Paper Store. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder (happy birthday) to emboss the first layer. The silver blue and white paper is from K and Company.

The silver and blue snowflake papers are from Recollections Christmas collection Starry Nights. The celebrating you stamp is from Michaels $1 bin a couple of years ago. The sentiment is a digital freebie that I don't remember where it came from, but if any body knows please drop me a line so that I can give credit where it is due.

I papered the back because it is corrogated and just had my stamped information.

Well that is it for this card,  I will be posting it on my Youtube channel soon.

THANK YOU WITH MUSIC

Good morning, I am so happy to be here posting another one of my projects. I have to say that I really did miss not being around for the last few weeks. I have so many new projects that I have not posted yet and will be glad to get them out there.

A couple of months ago when my daughter started her masters in nursing program, she pledge with the nursing soriety. She asked me to make a card for a lady who teaches music and who had worked with her group to teach them the song of the soriety. This is the card that I came up with. She wanted it to be music related and I finally got to use some of the music related products that I have bought over the last couple of years.

The card stock is all Bazzill, the music paper is from the Paper Studio, the embossed musical sheet is from cuttlebug, the piano is from Magnolia a part of the New years set from a couple of years ago. It was colored with copics and I used C1, C3, C5.  The thank you stamp is from a set that by The paper Studio. music and the symbol is from a musical set of stamps and I forget who made it.
The embossing on the inside is also from cuttlebug, it is their thank you folder.  The thank you sentiment is from Inkadinkado, I think. I will check this out and come back and update. I really enjoyed making this card and my daughter loved it.

One of the new challenge blogs that I have started visiting is having a DT call, I think that I would like to try out for it, Fashionista Challenge Blog. This is going to be my entry.

UNTRADITIONAL BIRTHDAY GREETINGS

Good morning and it is so good to be getting life back to normal. This has been a very busy time for me and I have not had much time for blogging. Last week I was at a craft show for 2 days and it was my first. I spent the last 2 months getting ready for it. Not knowing what would sale was hard. I made what I thought would sale and I did not do to bad. I made some contacts and had fun. I came home with more money than I left with. I got some orders for birthday cards. So all in all it was not a bad time. I was asked to participate next year and agreed to do. So, I will have more time to prepare. Here is a picture of my table. The room was sort of dark in the area that my table was located.

One of the orders that I received from the craft show was for a birthday card. But, she did not want it to say Happy Birthday on the card. It was for a 12 year old that is a huge fan of the University of Alabama football team. She loves crimson and white, which is the team colors along with the houndstooth pattern. She wanted to be able to put a photo of her daughter on the inside and after seeing a card I had made with a bookmark attached, she wanted one of those also. So, I had fun putting this card together. The daughters nickname is Sparkle, so I added the stars and bling and the base layer was coated with some liquid glitter and dried after embossing with the cuttlebug stars embossing folder. I then used a new folder from cuttlebug. I think it was more of a valentine folder, there were 5 or 6 folders included and the one had lots of different words and sayings. I embossed the live, laugh and love section and used it. The daugher also loves butterflies so I used a few inside and out. The image is a Kenny K one, it was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, R24, R27, B21, B24, CI, C3,  W3, W5, W7. The sentiment is from Michaels $1 bin, the bling is from my stash and the butterflies are Recollections. I left the right side blank so that the mother could write her own message.

The houndstooth paper is from the Paper Studio. I used a spellbinders to cut the frame for the photo, the dream stamp is from Michaels $1 bin. The border punch is Martha Stewart, it is one that I recently bought and I just love it. The ribbon is from my stash and the stamp on the right is also from the $1 bin at Michaels and I have had it forever. Well, that is it for my card. Now to find some challenges to enter it into. Have a great rest of the weekend, I will be back really soon with another post.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Good morning, I have been so busy trying to get ready for the craft show that I am participating in that I forgot to post a project yesterday and I also forgot that my 3rd year blogging anniversary is fast approaching. Can you believe it has been almost 3 years. I sure can't. So stay tuned, I need to think a little bit about how I want to celebrate it this year and I will come back and announce it just as soon as I can.

I am going to keep this post short, I have to get back to my card making and I only have one more month to do it. Today my card is a birthday card that I made for one of my co-workers. She has only been working with us for a short time, so I thought that this would make her feel welcome. We had been without anyone in that position for several months and I was truly glad that we finally found someone that worked out.

I really do love the Bugaboo Stamps. Jodie is the artist and Scarlett is one of my favorite characters. she is such a diva. So stop on by and see Jodie, I bet that you will find something that you will just love. The image was colored with copics and  E11, E13, E09, E15, E71, YR02, YR00, there were a couple more and of course I can't find my list.  The sentiments were stamped with a new stamp set that I bought at Hobby Lobby on clearance, I embossed with the cuttlebug birthday embossing folder. The papers are Bazzill, don't you just love that peachy orangey color. The bling is from my stash. The corners were done with my corner chomper (the scallop side).

RETIREMENT (CAN'T WAIT FOR MY TURN)

Morning all, have you made so many projects and not shown them all? I have. At one time I was making about 5 or 6 cards a week plus other projects. So I have a lot of things that have not been seen by the blogging world. So today I have a retirement card that I made for a friends aunt.

This is the inside of the card and the image is Bugaboo stamps. I really love this character (Scarlett) She is such a diva. Jodie is the really talented artist and she has lots of great images over at Bugaboo Stamps. So if you have never tried these wonderful digi images. You really should. there are images for all occasions. I colored Scarlet with copics E11, E13, E09 E15, V01, V04, V06. The sentiment I wrote and the party stamp is from a set in my stash. All of the bling is from my stash and I used the one of the folders from the art deco set by Cuttlebug to emboss the background behind Scarlett. The card stock is Bazzil and the DT is some leftover from another project.

The desk stamp is from Whiff of Joy and was colored with copics E50, E51, E53 and a little V01 for accents. All sentiments were written by me. Bling is from my stash. I used spelling binders to cut the mats.

CELEBRATE

Good morning. I do love the weekends. There is no work and only a few errands to take care of later. I need new tires for my car and that will be the first stop this morning. But, right now it is time to post a new card. I know I have not been making many cards lately and have focused more on mini albums and travel journals. But, cards are still a great love of mine. I have not posted many of the ones that I have made lately. Too many other things that I wanted to show off.
The card this morning is one that I made for a good friend of mine. She is not much into to bling and lots of flowers. But, she loves embossed papers. So here is her card.

I love how this center step card turned out. The embossing was done with the cuttlebug birthday embossing folder and the bubbles folder. The present stamp is I think Inkadinkado, I used my copics to color it and no I don't remember which ones. The paper is Bazzill and the birthday sentiment is from Inkadinkado also. The little tag was made with the Tim Holtz large ticket die and stamped with a portion of the times flies stamp from Inkadinkado. It was colored with copics, I had some glossy accents on certain sections of it like the clocks and the butterfly and when it was dry I went over it with wild honey distressing in from Tim Holtz. The gold paper that I embossed is actually a piece of very heavy Christmas wrapping paper. I love recycling. This paper is perfect for embossing. The balloons are from K and Company. That is it for my card and yes there a few challenges for this one.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

My daughters birthday was in February and she has had her card for that long. I just never got it posted here. While looking though my project photos, I found that I had enough projects finsihed that I could post somethng twice a week for the next 2 months and still have stuff left over. So this post will be my daughters birthday card. I used a Bugaboo Digital Stamp. Jody has some wonderful images and I was lucky enough just recently to win 7 new ones. I am so looking forward to get them colored.

My daughter loves purple and gray and bling. So I added a few feathers and here it is. She really love this and so did I. It was colored with copics E11, E13, E15, E09, C05, C03, C07, V04, V06, V09. A little spica grey glitter pen on the cuffs and scarf. I embossed the gray bazzill card stock with one of the art deco embossing folders from cuttlebug. Well, that is it for my card. I might just have a few challenges.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Happy Sunday, I am here today to post a card that I made for a friends daughter's 10th birthday. This is the third year that I have done a card for her. Each year her favorite color changes, the first year is was purples. The second year it was yellow. This year it is turquoise and lime green. I don't think that I got the lime green part. But, she loved it just the same.

I used a Saturated Canary image (it was a freebie) and I have since decided that I have to have some more of them. They are just the cutest. She was colored with copics BG45, BG49, BG53, BG72, BG09, Y00, atyou spica glitter pens, baby blue and turquoise. The ribbon is from my stash. I used vellum  as my top paper layer and it is from Making Memories (I wish that I had bought more of this when I was getting it) I got it at Tuesday mornings right before we had the tornadoes last year. And I find that I use it on a regular basis. It came with 3 sheets of each color and I am now almost out and only have a lot of scraps left. It also embosses really nicely. The flowers are from Recollections and I used the Cuttlebug happy birthday embossing folder. The bling is from my stash and the card stock is Bazzill.

The birthday sentiment is from a set of stamps from The Paper Studio. The sentiment on the right was done on my computer. The DP is My Minds Eye.

The birthday cake stamp is from the same set as the sentiment on the left. The birthday presents stamp is Inkadinkado.

Well, that is it for my card. "DON'T FORGET THAT I HAVE BLOG CANDY ON THE POST RIGHT BELOW THIS ONE". Have a wonderful day and happy crafting.

TIME FOR A WEDDING

Wow, I can't believe that it is Sunday evening already. This has been a very busy week for me and I am so glad to have some time for crafting. Next, week won't be as bad, but it will be busy. But, now I am here to post a wedding card that I made for a coworker to give to her cousin. She loved the card.

The image is from the Pixie Cottage and the artist is ARtish. I love the simplicity of this card. I embossed with one of art deco 5x7 folders and the ribbon is from my stash and the Mr & Mrs stamp is from the Paper Studio. I used a spellbinders die cut to cut out the front of the card, I forget the name of this one. I really need to find my list. The inside of the card was embossed also and held a very sweet sentiment. I forgot to take a photo of it.
