IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR FOR LOTS OF BIRTHDAYS

One of my goals for this year is to post more regularly on my blog. So far I have not done that. I am crafting, It is just making the time to post some of it. This is another birthday card, this one for a very dear friend.

The stamp set is Graphic 45 from the couture set #1. The DP is from My Minds Eye (2011) The card stock is Recollection and the flowers and bling are from  Recollections also. The  card base is the corrugated cardboard cards from Michaels. I stamped the image with momento rich brown ink and the image on the inside of the card is from Michaels $1 bin. I used a spellbinders label set for the inside, the larger size was embossed with the swiss dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug.. I really love how this card turned out. I will be back soon with another project. A video showing my card.

HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope that you are all enjoying your families and remembering what this season is all about. It is not all about the gifts. I am here to share another one of my Christmas cards.

This card is one in a series of 4 that were made for some very special friends of mine. The paper is My Minds Eye and the banner embellishment is also. The chipboard piece is K and Company and the pieces match perfectly. The pearl dots are liquid pearls. I think that the pearl shapes came out just right.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

Hi all, it is almost that time again when that jolly old guy in the red suit makes his annual appearance. I sure hope that he finds my temporary residence. But, just in case I decided to  post this Christmas card.

It is made using My Minds Eye lost and found Christmas. I used spellbinders dies and Recollections die cut, a Martha Stewart punch. I love this set of papers which was bought at Michaels for 70% off the regular price and I used the pad to make about 10 cards and used almost the whole thing. There are a few sheets left and I will use them in a mini album.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Ok, it has been awhile since I last blogged. Life has been super busy and then there was the car trouble. Who wants to buy a new car, I don't  so I have to keep this one running. Has anyone noticed how life can change in a heart beat? And you are unable to control the change. So what do you do? Well, I try to go with the flow and not get to stressed out about it. I also try to remember that life is precious and you don't want to waste it. So enjoy it all that you can.

Today I have a Christmas project that I am going to share with you. It is a faux toilet tissue roll mini album and instead of using toilet tissue rolls I used 6x6 pieces of bazzill card stock to make the base pages, I used K and Company and My minds eye DP to cover the base pages. and all of the papers came from my scraps except for the card stock. The tags are from my stash, I used a 1" punch to make the tabs on the tags. I used my cinch to bind it and the ribbons are from my stash. The die cuts are all from K and Company. The tags were inked with Tim Holtz distress ink fired brick.

I really love how this turned out and it was very easy to make and did not take very much time at all.

ANYTHING GOES AT BROWN SUGAR #34

Wow, what a week this has been. Work is super busy and this was the week for annual evaluations not many surprises since I knew I completed all of my goals and projects for the year. It just gets stressful sometimes. But, I am glad that it is over and that it is Friday. I really need some time to create.

THERE IS A DESIGN TEAM CALL AT BROWN SUGAR going on right now. It will end March 25th. If your would like to be a part of a great team go on over and check it out.

This week the challenge at BROWN SUGAR CHALLENGE is "Anything Goes" and we all know how easy that is. Our sponsor for the week is BUGABOO STAMPS. I love the images that Jody comes up with and they are fun to work with.

This is get your craft on and I am going to use it on a scrapbook page from one of our crops. I will also be doing some shopping this week over at Bugaboo. I saw some new images that I just have to have. The image was colored with copics B000, BG45, BG53, E11, E13, E15, YR04, Y21. The sentiment came with the image. The papers are from a very old pad of My Minds Eye (Stella Rose collection) Hattie Papers is the name. I have almost used the whole pad. But, it has been one of my favorites. The flowers are from my stash, the circle and inverted scallop were cut with Spellbinders dies as was the image and the mat beneath it. I don't have the packaging anymore and my list is not available to say which label this is.. Well, that is it for this post. I hope that you will join us for this weeks challenge at BROWN SUGAR, and don't forget to stop the the rest of the team members for a visit. I know that they will appreciate your comments.

CHRISTMAS TAGS

Finally time to post a little Christmas cheer. The tags in this post were made as a birthday gift for my friend. She had earlier asked if I could design her a set of tags for Christmas. So I took the challenge and this is what I came up with.

The papers are from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Christmas Pad. The stamp is from the Paper Studio set I bought a few years ago. The ribbon is celebrate from Michaels. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz fired brick distress ink.  On the back I stamped to and from. I cut the the 2 different size tags using the my Cricut. My friend loved them and once again I met the challenge. This is the same friend that bought my first cards and as a result I sale quite a few of my projects. These or some similar will be added to next years projects.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Hi all, it is almost 6:30 pm on Saturday evening and I have not gotten very much crafting done even though I have been sitting in my room for the last 2 hours. I almost finished a mini I have been working on. I picked up the photos for my cousins birthday mini. I printed and picked up the last of the photos for my daughters Las Vegas mini. (so far behind on that). I have several orders for note cards and I did cut the paper for those, but I have not gotten any further than that. Maybe a glass of wine and a good book would be a better idea right now. I just can't seem to get motivated. Oh well, I went through my cameras and came across several projects that I had not posted yet and a number of them were some book marks that I made a few months ago. I thought that since it is back to school time and school means books and lots of them. Everybody could use a couple of bookmarks. I love the corner bookmark. You can make 10 of them and they will all look different. Here is mine.

This was made totally from scraps and originally came from a My Minds Eye (Stella Rose pad). The owl stamp is from a $1 set that I bought in the Michaels $1 bin. I used a Spellbinders edge die and one of the Spellbinders label dies. the owl was colored with copics E30. E31. E33 and a little G21. I distressed it with some Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink.

Well there is not really much else that I can say about this project. So I will be keeping this post short. There are a few challenges.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Happy Sunday, I am here today to post a card that I made for a friends daughter's 10th birthday. This is the third year that I have done a card for her. Each year her favorite color changes, the first year is was purples. The second year it was yellow. This year it is turquoise and lime green. I don't think that I got the lime green part. But, she loved it just the same.

I used a Saturated Canary image (it was a freebie) and I have since decided that I have to have some more of them. They are just the cutest. She was colored with copics BG45, BG49, BG53, BG72, BG09, Y00, atyou spica glitter pens, baby blue and turquoise. The ribbon is from my stash. I used vellum  as my top paper layer and it is from Making Memories (I wish that I had bought more of this when I was getting it) I got it at Tuesday mornings right before we had the tornadoes last year. And I find that I use it on a regular basis. It came with 3 sheets of each color and I am now almost out and only have a lot of scraps left. It also embosses really nicely. The flowers are from Recollections and I used the Cuttlebug happy birthday embossing folder. The bling is from my stash and the card stock is Bazzill.

The birthday sentiment is from a set of stamps from The Paper Studio. The sentiment on the right was done on my computer. The DP is My Minds Eye.

The birthday cake stamp is from the same set as the sentiment on the left. The birthday presents stamp is Inkadinkado.

Well, that is it for my card. "DON'T FORGET THAT I HAVE BLOG CANDY ON THE POST RIGHT BELOW THIS ONE". Have a wonderful day and happy crafting.

2 SISTERS STRIPES/AND OR PLAID CHALLENGE #96

Good morning, it is Saturday and that means that it is time for another 2 Sisters Challenge, this week the challenge is to use stripes and or plaid on your project.  How easy is that? And after you link your project at 2 Sisters, stop by the design team blogs and leave them a little love. They will be glad that you did.

Since we are having such beautiful weather here and most people are heading to the beaches, I thought that it would be a good time for a little sailing on the lakes and oceans for a fun time. I thought that this was a wonderful fun image and it could be used for a father's day card or summer fun. The image was colored with copics BG45, BG53, B000, B0000, E13, E30, E31, E51, Y35, Y02, Y04. The sentiment was typed on the computer. The DP is My Minds Eye. The card stock is from the scrap file. I used glossy accents on the porthole windows of the boat.

Good morning everyone, it is Saturday and time for some fun. Lots of creating to get to and another great challenge for you at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog, this week the challenge is Anything Goes. And the card that I made is a birthday card for a co-workers mothers. She loves flowers and I thought that this one would be perfect for her. This is the second year that I have done her birthday card.

I really loved howthis turned out. The image is from our wonderful sponsor Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps and is called Dandy flower.
The image was colored with copics Y04, Y08, Y38, YG06 and YG05. After coloring 2 images I then cut one out and popped it up with pop dots and  The background was colored in with Tim Holtz distress inks wild honey and evergreen bough (from the winter seasonal set). The card stock is from my Minds Eye and I have been hoarding because I do love these papersbut, the first layer is vellum from Making Memories. I really love this vellum, when I bought it I wasn't sure what I would do with it and now I find my self using it all the time. It came in about eight different colors and it makes a wonderful first layer I also used it on the inside of my card to give it a uniformed look. The bling is from my stash and I used the cloud corner chomper from crop-i-dile. The birthday stamp is from Michaels. Well, that is it for this card. So stop on by 2 Sisters and join us for this weeks challenge. Be sure to stop the other design team blogs (which can be reached from my sidebar) They would love to read your comments.

But, I had a couple of scraps and hated to waste them. The flowers are from Recollections and the bling is from my stash. I used Spellbinders die cut. Well, that is it for my card and I hope that you have enjoyed your visit. Don't forget to stop by 2 Sisters and join us in this weeks challenge.

THE PIXIE COTTAGE PERFECT PASTELS /SKETCH CHALLENGE #112

Good morning again, this time it is time for my Guest Designer gig over at The Pixie Cottage Challenge Blog. I was so excited when the owner, Michelle asked me to be a GD. I jumped at the chance. I have been following this blog almost since the beginning of my blogging history. Which will be 3 years in October. But, that is another story. This weeks challenge is called Perfect Pastels....

Don't you just love the colors. The papers are from a 6x6 pad by My Minds Eye that I have had forever and had not used in a a very long time. It is called My Minds Eye Home... It is a glittery pad and the designs are just wonderful. I think that I may use the rest of it in a mini album. The image is by Sandra Hamner and was colored with copics E23, E27, E53, G21, G24, R81, R83, spicas pink glitter pen. I used Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle die cut and one of the newer fancy tags. The card stock is from the scrap file and I don't have a clue who made it. The flowers are from my stash and no name was visible. But I think that they are from Wild Orchid. A gift from a very crafty friend.

2 SISTERS USE METAL CHALLENGE #74

Good morning! This is my second week as a design team member at 2 Sisters Challenge blog and I am having a wonderful time. The images are fabulous and the team is a great bunch of ladies to work with. This week the challenge is Metal. So you have to have some metal somewhere on your project. You can enter our challenge as many times as you like, but each entry must be a new project. No back linking. And don't forget the rest of my team is listed on my side bar and they would love for you to stop by for a visit.
We are being sponsored this week by......

Please stop by the store and check out their wonderful digi images. We were given images to make our projects this week and they are really wonderful.

I don't normally make cards with animals or birds, but I really love this image and will be using it a lot in the future. It was colored with copics B12,B02, B00, B000, E00, E13, E23, E53, G0000, G00, RV00, RV02, RV04 and spica glitter pens, pink, melon and baby blue. the DP is from My Minds Eye and it is lime twist Happy go Lucky a 6x6 pad that I have have since last year some time and never used even a sheet of it. The funny thing is that the day I bought this paper, I bought 4 other pads at the same time just because I loved the colors. Never used any of it. Well, that is about to change. I thought that since my image was of birds that bird paper would be a perfect background. The cardstock is bazzill, the bling is from my stash and the sentiment was sent to me by a friend. love those tickets. The metal that I have used is a square paper clip that I found on my desk top and it holds the ticket in place perfectly. The zig zag piece of felt ribbon is from a prize package that I won last year from Pricilla Styles Midnight Madness.  So that is it for my card. So please join us for a fun filled week at 2 Sisters Challenge blog.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Good morning fellow bloggers. It is so good to be back with another post and this time I am thinking Christmas. My plans were to be at least almost finished with my Christmas cards this year. Guess what, I have not even started. Not only have I not started mine, but I promised my sister that I would make her some also. (she is paying) and I have not started. So to get in the mood, my project for the Card Making group over at Stampin' Dymonz this week was to make a Purse Card and I decorated it in a Christmas design. Not bad for a first try.  We would love for you to join us at Stampin' Dymonz there is a lot going on, we have scrapbooking, cards, swaps of all kinds and there is so much talent in one place that it is scary sometimes. Stop by and make your self at home. You may meet some old friends or you just might make some new ones. I did....

The card stock is Bazzill, the DP is My Minds Eye, the buttons (Christmas tree, snowman, snowflakes are from Hobby Lobby.

FALL IS IN THE AIR

Can you fill it? The change in the air. A week ago it was still close to 100 degrees. Now the temp is going down to 40 degrees at night. An even here in Alabama the leaves are starting to fall. The only thing is that there is not a lot of red, orange, yellow colors on the trees. They just seem to drop off. But, the air is cooler and my hayfever is in full force.

I had a busy and productive weekend and came up with the following card. This is  one that I did not have to color but a very little and that was my owl. I loved the embellisments that I used. I think they were perfect for this card.

The leaves and fibers and the word Fall is a Jolie embellishment set that I bought from AC Moore a while ago. Before they closed the store in Montgomery, AL. I got a lot of Jolies for $1. So I bought all I could. The card stock is Bazzill. The bling is and sparkly is a set I bought at Walmart last week for $3 . They don't have a lot of scrapbooking products anymore. But, I did like the bling.  The owl is a digi image that I paper pieced. I printed it a couple of times colored it with my copics and used moving eyes.

The papers are My Minds Eye Home. I did not finish the inside because I wasn't sure how I wanted to use it. I will probably just use it as a thinking of you card for one of my grandkids.

I have several challenges that I am entering this card into.

Basic Grey Sparkle (papers sparkle, bling)

MO'S INSPIRATION

Happy Sunday everybody, I am finally here with something to post for the week. It has been a very busy week and weekend. But, here I am. Yesterday, I attended an advanced copics class at my favorite scrapbook store.  It was taught by  Christine Ousley, she is on the design team for Simon Says Stamp and the design team for My Scrapbook Mania, which is the store I love. The class was more on coloring and blending and we also made a scrapbook page so I learned some new techniques and the need to practice, practice. So now more than ever I am looking forward to getting Copic certified. I am just waiting for a class to come my way.

On, the way there it rained cats and dogs. If, you knew me, you would know that I hate driving in the rain. The reason being, that a few years ago I was run off the road by an 18 wheeler pulling 2 trailers. My fear of being on the highway during a storm is huge. But, lets not talk about that. After getting back to town, I stopped by Hobby Lobby, they have gotten some new product in the store. They got some of the new Spellbinders in and Tim Holtz new inks and papers (there is actually a whole section for Tim Holtz). They also got some of the new Cuttlebug folders. I think they got some new stamps but it was hard to tell. I did not check to see if they had any new flowers or ribbons. They  have a 40% coupon this week. And no where on it does it say that Copics are excluded. Although they only have 1 green color that I don't have. I may go ahead and buy it this week. After I get 2 of the new Spellbinders. I can't wait.

Anyway, on to my card. first of all, I have used a Mo's Digital Image to go along with their inspirational challenge:
Aren't these colors and elements gorgeous. The sketch that I used is from Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday

The card was colored with Copics E53, E51, E50, E25, Y17, Y35, YR14, Y38, YR65 and a spica glitter pen; peach. The paper is Bazzil for the card stock, the DP is My Minds Eye Home. The wings were done with diamond stickles the image is by Mo, and she is fairy #3 (I think). I used my Nestibilities to cut the image and mat for the image. The flowers are prima. The sentiment is an Inkadinkado stamp. The corrigated card board was bought with the color on it when I first started scrapbooking. The inside of the card was embossed using the birthday folder from Cuttlebug and the sentiment is a stamp from Paper Inspirations, I think it was bought at Michaels. I use it all the time I really should remember this. The colors just happened to be perfect. I will be entering this card into the following challenges.

Flutter by Wednesday Fairies, butterflies or Angels
Crafty Creations Winged Things
Fab N' Funky Your favorite colors (I chose these colors because my apartment is painted Burnt orange around the fireplace and one wall in the dining room, sage green and tan or taupe on other walls and I love the way it looks) these colors are just a variation of those.
Secret Crafters What are girls made of (this card is nothing if not girly)
Sweet Stampin' challenge blog use your favoite image or stamp ( this is to hard, but Mo is one of my favorite artist.   And I do love this image.
Kah-Wink-E-Dink Digi use your favorite digital image (Again Mo is one of my favorite digital artist so this image does it for me (how am I supposed to choose a favorite when I love so many)
Simple Doodles Lets celebrate (what is a birthday if not a celebration)
And last but not least Stamp Something Fairy Tales (I think fairies come from a long line of fairy tales)

Well this is my first card of the week I will be back later with the second.  I hope that you enjoy it. It was so much fun to make.
