350 BLOG CANDY

 

 

Good morning, well Christmas is just a little over a week away and I will be spending it with my children and granddaughters who will be getting in on the 23rd and then we are heading to Georgia to spend that time with my sisters and their families. So guess what, I am really in a CELEBRATION mood. And because of that I will ending the blog candy that is going on and adding an extra prize into the mix. I have a total of 314 followers and that is fine. So here is what I am going to do. The prize as it stands is a Tim Holtz package, I will be adding a set of binder rings, and couple of more items to that and you will have to wait and see what that is. But, I will be giving away another prize which will include a 6x6 paper pad and some items to alter and embellisments and the winner will just have to wait and see what else. Like I said I am happy and want to celebrate being with my family. So, what do you need to do to win? TIME FOR SOME BLOG CANDY

Good morning, sorry it has taken so long to get this posted, but I could not make up my mind what to add to the goodies. As you know I will soon be having my 2nd Anniversary as a blogger and I wanted to celebrate that milestone with my wonderful followers and friends. I also have decided to give away 2 prizes and I will be showing one of them today and will add the second one in 2 weeks (I still have to put it together). When I started blogging I was not sure that it was what I wanted to do, but I had a friend who kept telling me I could do it, well I tried and over time I came to love showing off my art to so many wonderful people. I have made lots of new friends and learned so many new things in the last two years that I know I will be doing this for a long time to come. I started out scrapbooking which lead to me making cards (people like my cards and request that I make them). And now I have tried other art forms such as mixed media art. I have altered dominoes, which I really enjoy. I started an art journal and have tried water color painting and used acrylic paints to alter wooden letters and frames. One of the things that I really enjoy making and I will be posting some of them soon is ATC (artist trading cards) I really love making them, they are small but such a way to show off your art. Some of these things I will keep doing and some I won't. But, before I started blogging I never would have even tried them. And now I am more willing to explore other art forms. I am also trying my hand at the DARK ARTs, although I find that I like the magical and mystical side better. OK enough talk. For every contest there have to be rules. 2 YEAR BLOG ANNIVERSARY

Hello everyone, can you believe that it has been almost two years since I posted my first card and got started blogging? Well, believe it, On October 18, 2010 I posted my very first card and soon after entered my very first challenge. And the rest is history. I have come a long way from that first card. I have tried lots of new things and made lots of friends. To celebrate this occasion  I am going to give away some blog candy. Not just one, but 2. It will be posted for a month. I will be back very soon with the rules to win and the wonderful prizes.

BLOG CANDY REMINDER

Happy rainy Tuesday, yes it is raining here and I am home because of trying to move something heavy that I should have left alone. It has been 2 days of sitting around here getting nothing done.

But, I wanted to remind every one that we are at the halfway point of the anniversary blog candy. It will run until November 19, 2010 and you can get to that post by clicking on the picture on my sidebar.  There were several comments left where the person or persons did not become a follower. I am sorry but, when the time comes for the drawing, if you are not a follower your name will not be entered into the drawing. I have been going through some bags of goodies and have decided that if I should reach 160  followers I will have a second drawing. I am putting together the prize as we speak.
