Diva For A Day

Two more days of work, another day of shopping and then it will be Christmas. I am so excited. I have always loved Christmas and always wanted to know what I got before the day got here. Well I remember one Christmas in particular, I was about 9 or 10 years old and I wanted to see Santa, and I thought I heard him down stairs. Well imagine my surprise when I sat on the stairs watching what was going on and saw my mother and only brother setting up all the toys and my easy bake oven. I must have made a noise, because he looked up and saw me before I could get back to my room. They did not say any thing right then. But, when I woke up in the morning, there was no easy bake oven. My mother decided to make me suffer. I didn't get the oven right a way. She said that Santa had taken it back because I was out of bed. I must have cried for days. After that I tried not to spend so much time worrying about what I got.  At least I got a lot sneakier and did not get caught.

Anyway on to my card. This card is a little different from what I normally do. there is no colored images. I put it together more like a scrapbook page. The picture of the dress is actually a sheet of stationary that I scanned and sized it like picture then cut it out. The sentiment I typed on the computer except for the "It's your day" which I cut out on my wonderful Cricut. The glitter paper is from Walmart. The shoes and handbag are from my large embellisment stock. This is going to be a birthday card for a friend on the inside I am going to take that same piece of stationary and size it to fit on the inside page and there I will write why I think she is such a good friend. Which won't be very hard. The photo of the ladies head is a piece of art that I have hanging on my office wall. I have it had it for years. and I always thought she was a very classy lady.

This card is for the challenge over at Tellen's Place, which has become one of my favorite sites to visit. They sale wonderful images and they give good freebies, also. But, I just love their challenges.

I hope you like my card. Please leave me a comment and let me know.

  9. Hi Joynana,
Thanks for letting me know that you have a Cricut. Unfortunately the files I create won't work on a cricut unless you have the Sure Cuts A Lot software.
Thanks for visiting my blog and best wishes for a happy New Year!
