What Makes a Celebration

Good after noon my blogging friends. Did you move your clocks forward one hour? If not you have probably been late every where you had to go today. But, don't you just love daylight savings time? I do. I love the longer days. I love it when I get off of work and the sun is still shining. I feel happier when the sun shines for more hours. I heard somebody say that they hated losing an hours sleep. but I don't feel that way and I don't feel like I have lost any time. But, everybody is different.  I guess I should get to the reason that I am here. And that is to post another card and enter it into some more challenges. The first challenge is from Papertake Weekly;

The second challenge is  Crafty Creations, make your own flowers
The third challenge is In Style Stamp, a hint of green
The fourth challenge is Cute Card Thursday, celebrate
The fifth challenge is Basic Grey, Photo inspiration

Now on to my card. The card base is Bazzill, the cream card stock is Bazzill, the DP papers are from Basic Grey the blue/tan is from Wisteria pad and the tan/brown is from the Archaic collection 12x12. I punched my flowers from a $1 punch that I had. I did not have a clue about making flowers. And now I have to learn. After punching them out of two of my paper colors, I put one rhinestone on each and punched out some branches in green using a Martha Stewart punch that I put behind the flowers. I made two brown  bows and put one at the top and one at the botton of my card. And the celebration that this card covers is the house warming that friends are having after the purchase of their new house. The image that I used was Tilda with her hands in her pockets, she is from the Magnolia winter collection and can be purchased at the Magnolia-licious Online Store, just tell Diana that I sent you. I colored my image with my Copics.

Skin: E00, E31, E33
Hair: E15, E00, E11
Apron: B32, B000, spica baby blue glitter pen
Socks/underdress: E42, E00, E41
Shoes: W3, W5

My ribbons really look black, but they are definitely dark brown. I need some help with lighting. My apartment does not have a lot of windows and it has been really dreary wet rainy weather here lately. So my pictures have been iffy at best.

I love this image and tend to use it again and again.

  12. Joyce, what a precious card. Adorable Tilda image—just got her myself too, but haven’t had the chance to colour her. Love the colour combo of blue and brown, always a fave of mine. Good job on the card.
