Birthday/Baby Card

Happy Saturday, I am up and ready to work. The only difference today is that before I can get to work I have to go out and walk a 5K this morning. It is a race to benefit the cities Pre-K initiative which helps to get young children ready to enter kindergarten. It is put on by the Mayor of my town and this is the 3rd year that I have participated. Of course, it has rained all night and more severe rain and storms are expected today. But, I'm going and I need to be there by 7:45 am. Wish me luck.

I wanted to get this card posted since it is one that I had finished earlier in the week. It is a birthday card for a friend that recently found out that they were having a baby. So it is a baby/birthday card. It is done in one of my favorited colors teal/aqua and chocolate. What a surprise that when I was checking out some of my favorite blogs. If the Shoe Fits,.. Scrap it challenge was a color one, chocolate and teal. I love it when they are this easy. The next challenge that I think will fit the bill is at Raise the Bar color me happy, your favorite color. Simple Doodles not a spring chick anymore, anything that is old. Well my flowers come under that heading. I have had these flowers so long and I can count on one finger how many times I have used them, the teal ones. so that should count. Paper Play Challenges is to use no patterned paper. One more challenge is at the Pixie Cottage Mother's day or a special lady card. I guess my friend having a birthday and a baby makes her a special lady

My image was colored with copics E000, E00, Y28, Y15, Y11, Y92, BG45, B21, B34, B93. Can you tell that my copics are growing in numbers. I am now at 137 and still counting. Teal card stock is Bazzill the cream color is from my stash, the chocolate embossed paper is from Hobby Lobby. The stamp is from an eight pieces stamp set that I bought on clearance at Michaels. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss with their baby folder the inside of the card. The image on the inside is from Sassy Studios Store I love her images. Well here is my card. My time is growing short and I am not even dressed yet. So I have got to go as soon as I finish this post. I hope you like my card and I will be back later with something new.

This is the left inside of the card. On the right side, my friend's mother wrote her sentiment and that will be left private.  Isn't it amazing how having used the same paper both inside and out, from these pictures it looks different. Well I have to go now. I would love to hear from you.
