TAG SWAP

Happy Sunday morning, I am here with a really short post with a couple of tags that I made for the Valentine swap at Scappy Style Swaps, we are just a group of friends who wanted to swap and not have to make huge quantities of items. This swap we make 2 and get 2. So simple. There had to be at least 1 heart on your tag.

I used Tim Holtz adirondak alchol ink with gold fixative and inked my tags front and back, once they were dry I ran then through the cuttlebug heart embossing folder and I really liked the look that I got with the gold and red. I did not want them to be to busy and I added a few roses and leaves. The leaves were cut from some gold wrapping paper that I collected last year from our Christmas party. It is a little heavier than most wrapping papers, but is perfect for adding to cards and other projects.  A few beads and charm on the ribbon. I used a $1 stamp from Michaels for the sentiment. On the back I decided to have a tag within a tag. I used the Tim Holtz large ticket die and stamped the images from Cling stamps of vinatage divas. Colored with copics (don't remember the colors, it has been a couple of months since I made them. Added glossy accents over the image and once it was dry I used distressed inks to color the background. On the back of the mini tag  I stamped "Delight in the Little things", another $1 stamp from Michaels. The pockets were made from some small bags I bought out of the party section at Michales. The ribbon is from my stash. Well, that is it for this project.  Let me know what you think.

ALTERED DOMINOES SWAP

I always thought that dominoes were just for playing  the game. I was wrong. You can make stuff from dominoes. Like jewelry or you can stamp on them and color them, drill holes in them. I know because over at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack we are having an altered dominoes swap. Oh yes, I said swap. You decorate 10 dominoes and you get 10 back. You design what you want any way you want. Well, up until a month ago, I had never done a swap in my life. I felt like I would be the person who did not get it done on time. So I never tried it before. I was always hearing people discuss the swaps that they were involved in, but would never participate. Well, here I am doing my second swap in less than a month. The first was the charm swap. It went OK. so now I am doing this domino swap. I have already started playing around with different designs and colors. Still not quite happy with anything that I have done yet, but I am still working it. here are a few that I have come with.

This one I stamped directly onto the domino and and coloring it with alcohol inks. and then I put seed beads around it and covered in glossy accents.

These are some more of my trials and errors. Not quite happy with these yet. Still working on it.

TENT CARD SHOWCASING MO'S IMAGE

Good morning, it is so good to be back with a new creation. I have been really busy and there have been many changes in my life recently. First, I would like to announce that I was invited to join a new design team at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack it is an online group and I am co-moderator of the Card Making group. I would love it if you stopped by and joined us. The ladies have welcomed me in with open an arms and I have been getting out of my card making comfort zone. Each week there is a new card. This week it is the Tent Card. Soooo easy to make and just so cute. There is also a challenge blog; Stampin' Dymonz Creative Space, The first challenge has just started and it is a scrapbook page challenge. Please stop by and check it out. It is going to be lots of fun.

Why, don't I show the card first and them tell you a little about it.

Now, tell me isn't this just the cutest card. I love Mo's images and this is one of my favorites. Even though my grand children are teenages now, I really love working with this image. Mo is having a GD call, you have to enter 2 challenges to be considered. I love her images and would be honored if she chose me to be a GD.
