FROSTY THE SNOWMAN

Happy Sunday everyone, time seems to be moving along at a very fast pace. Only 3 weeks until Christmas and there is still much to do. This week at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack's card making group I made a snow globe. It is just way to cute. They call it a card, but I think it makes a perfect decoration for a table. It was fun and easy to make.

The image is from Inger Harding designs and was colored with copics BG000, BG72, BG70, E13. The acetate is from a package of spellbinders die cuts. The snowflakes are from The Paper Studio. Card stock is Bazzill, DP is Momenta and is called Jack Frost. The tree is a button. I thought that this was a great way to spend a little time crafting. The globe was cut using Spellbinders circle die cut.

MORE CHRISTMAS CARDS FINISHED

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I did. I had dinner with my cousins here in town. And she is a wonderful cook. She made the most wonderful salad that had a savory cheese cake as the center. I had never had a savory cheese cake before. But, I will definitly have it again. I got to bring some home and that is what I am having for lunch. It was just soooo good. The turkey and dressing is for dinner. Ok, enough about food.

I have another Christmas card. I am getting so much closer to my goal of 20 cards made. This one I am going to make more than one. It is a very simple card and was easy to put together.  and very easy to color.

I used copics to color my really cute snowman. G20, G12, G21, G40, G24, R24, R27, BOOO and spica glitter pens red and melon. This image is from Inger Harding Freebies I think that she has some of the cutest images and so many freebies. You should go by and pay her a visit. The Christmas paper is from my stash, it was the last piece and I was able to get 6 cards out of it. The roses are from Recollections at Michaels.  The sentiment is a $1 clear stamp from Michales. The card stock is Bazzill. I do have a few challenges.

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW...

Hey, I am back with another wonderful creation. But, first I have a couple of announcements. First, I am still working on the winners of my blog candy. I have been out most of today and yesterday. And since there are 2 long list that I have to compare it is going kind of slow. But, just as soon as that is done I will have my neighbor pull two wonderful names from the hat.

Second, One of my great blogging friends, EssenceVibez, has this wonderful blog called "You Inspire Me" and I am featured there in an interview with pictures. Please go by and take a look. I would love to know what you think. This is the first time that I have debuted a real photo of myself. If you enjoy the interview, please become a follower of this wonderful blog. She can use the support of crafters everywhere.

 I have heard people say that they are already getting snow where they live. Today, when I went out all I had on was a short sleeve shirt and slacks with sandals. Before I moved here 8 years ago, I never would have guessed that I would be walking around during the middle of November with no coat of jacket. I love this weather. Now, on to my card. Tonight my card is all about the snow. But, it is also going to be #6 in my quest for Christmas cards. While out shopping yesterday, I took a look at store bought cards. I wish now that I had bought some of them. My goal was to make and mail at least 20 cards. That would be a 3rd of what I normally send out to my friends and family. I don't know if I am going to make it. But, we will count this has one of them. The snowman used is a freebie from "Inger Harding Freebies" you should really pay her a visit. Her images are fabulous. I will be using more of them really soon. I colored my snowman with copics B00, B000, BV00, BV0000, E33. Spica glitter pens baby blue and lavender. The DP papers are from The Paper Studio, Bazzill and some layers are from my scrap file. Got to use those scraps. I used my Martha Stewart snowflake edge punch. I embossed with my Cuttlebug and snowflake embossing folder. The bling is from my stash, the plastic snowflakes and the round snowflakes that I stacked for a 3D effect were from my stash. The typed  sentiment was done on the computer, I printed it in  pink  and then colored over it with the lavender spica glitter pen.

I do love the layers of this card. So that is it for today and yes I do have challenges.
