FURRY FRIENDS CHALLENGE AT TUESDAY THROWDOWN #131

Good morning, I am here today as a new Design Team member at Tuesday Throwdown,  if you have not visited before you should. I have been playing there for a couple of years off and on. I really am so glad to be a new member of the team. This weeks challenge is "Furry Friends" so if you have any favorite animal create your project and come on and join us. Our sponsor this week is Meljen's Designs, isn't my monkey just the cutest things. I thought that he would make a cute birthday card and he did. I have a lot of birthdays in February and this is only the first card to be made. I have a long way to go.

I colored the image with copics E11, E13, E15, V04. The balloons, stars are from an embellishment set that does not have a name on it. I typed the sentiment on the computer. The card stock is from Recollections and I embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder.

2 SISTERS STARS CHALLENGE #92

Good morning, it is Saturday again and time for another fun challenge over at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog, This week it is Stars.  We want to see stars on your creation.

Our sponsor this week is Meljens Designs and the image I have used is Baby Stork. Meljens Designs has some really fun images and I enjoy using them on my projects. This is going to be used on a scrapbook page in a 1st year baby album. Fun, fun, fun. The image is colored with copics RV02, R00, R83, Y00, Y02, Y04, Y35. I used a Martha Stewart corner punch on the corner of the colored image and a crop-i-dile chomper on the corner of the card stock. The sentiment was done on the computer and I used the star embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The bling is from my stash. That is it for my project. So, come on over to 2 Sisters and join in the fun. And I am sure that my team members would love for you to pay them a visit. You can reach them from my side bar.

2 SISTERS SPOTS AND DOTS CHALLENGE #83

Good morning all, I am running just a little late this morning. I found it hard to get out of the bed . Wish I was still there. But, I have work to do. So lets get to it. Todays challenge at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog is 'SPOTS AND DOTS. And we would love for you to join us this week. I picked this image because I thought that it would look so good in wonderful spring colors. I am so ready for some nice sensible weather that makes since for this time of year.

My card today is a birthday card and the cute little image is from our sponsor MELJEN'S DESIGN
The image is called Tutu Sweet and she is colored with copics E11, E000, E13, E51, G21, R00, RV21,M RV81, RV83, YR02 and spica glitter pens peach, orange and pink. The background paper is vellum Making Memories and I love the sheer look it gives. The DP is My Minds Eye HOme collection. These are the scraps left from a project I did last week. I used the Spellbinders inverted scalloped circle and one o the fancy tags twice and then layered. The stars with the bling is from a pack of birthday embellishments that I just picked up from Target out of their clearance shelf. Cost 88 cents. The bling is part of the embellishment. Well, that is it for my card this week. Please be sure to stop by 2 Sisters and join us for our challenge this week, it is going to be lots of fun. and don't forget to stop by and visit with the other members of our team. HEY CUPCAKE (BIRTHDAY CARD)

Are there cards that you want to make and then you wonder just what you're going to do with them? Well, for me there are a lot of images that I really like, but I just don't have a clue how to use them. That is how I have felt about the cupcake images. I have several different ones, some digital and some stamps. I just could not seem to make a card with any of them that I really liked. Until now.

This is a card that I made for a friend. I hope she is not checking on me this weekend. I was out of the office all week, so I did not have a chance to give it to her. A little about this card, the image is from Meljens Designs it was a freebie. But, they have such wonderful images, I am already working on the next one. I had a little accident with the image. It is actually surrounded by swirls and hearts and such, I tried to use the Martha stewart punch (one of the first that I ever bought on the image paper and cut to deep. So I had to cut each cupcake out and use it the way that I did). I don't know the name of the punch, but I used it on my brown paper. Which is from the Paper Company. The pink paper comes from a pad by The Paper Studio. I embossed with the Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder and the dots and spots embossing folder. I used my inverted scalloped circle under the cupcakes. They were colored with copics E31, E33, E53, E51, E25, E37, R81, R83 and other pinks, spica glitter pens pink, chocolate. The brown pearls on the inside were from the stash of stuff that I recently won. I am going to have to have more. I really love them. The sentiment on the inside is from Stampendous. I typed the "Hey Cupcake" on the computer and printed it in pink and then went over it with the pink spica glitter pen. The flowers are white paper flowers from Recollections which I colored with the same color pink copics that I used on the rest of the card. After the cupcakes were colored, I used glossy accents to make it shiney. The buttons are from my stash. The swirly paper that I stitched with my trusty little pixie machine is from my stash. Well, that is about it for the card. And yes, I do have challenges. Was there ever any doubt? The sketch is from Diva Coffee Break Designs
