What's on your work desk Wednesday, well I am hooked. I love looking to see what other people are working on and don't mind showing what I have going on for the week. If you enjoy the peek show stop on over at the Stamping Ground and visit with Julia, there is always something going on there. She is the wonderful lady who started all of this. I have several photos for you today...
I started a new paper bag mini album, so there is lots of work to do on it still and the composition notebook holds all of the directions for the mini albums. I have found Kathy Orta over at Paper Phenomenon love her. This is my take on her Random Memories paper bag mini. She used mostly Tim Holtz products. I can't wait to see how mine turns out.
I worked on my new smash book, I recently had a birthday and I had so much fun doing the pages of my cards and gifts. My daughter bought me a new Kindle Fire, so I had to showcase that. Friends from work gave me a Hobby Lobby gift card, which I have spent, and I am still looking for the card to add to my album. I know that I kept it.
this is another couple of pages in my smash book, the left side holds little thank you cards from Ellen Hutson, everytime I place an order she adds a little card saying thank you along with some gorgeous ribbons. I have been holding onto the cards and thought this would be a good place to keep them. The other page are some thank you notes from owners of blogs where I have won challenges. I was holding them and decided this book is perfect for them. I am so glad that I decided to buy the smash books. I used a 50% coupon at Michaels a couple of weeks ago and bought 2 and some of the embellishments. So for about $6.50 apiece, It was well worth the money.
So that is it for me this week. I hope to get some more work done on the mini album and will post it as soon as I finish it. And the smash book is a work in progess. I still love regular scrapbooking but this is great for all of the stuff that you wouldn't do a regular scrapbook page for.

ReplyDeleteLove the smash books. It's not a term I am familiar with but I guess they are a cross between a journal and a scrapbook. Well done for being so organised about the bits and pieces you want to keep safe. Kate 90 x
