WWOYW 280

Ok, it is time for another WWOYW "What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday". It is when we all get together over at the Stamping Ground with Julia Dunnit and visit lots of fabulous desk around the world. we get to see what other crafty people are doing and creating. First, let me say that I am sorry that I did not get around to all of the desk that I wanted to and that I plan to do better this week. Last week was really busy and the weekend even more so.  On my desk this week are some photos that I have been printing out using PICASA by Google. It is a fabulous photo collage program that is free. If you are into project life you can make your photos 3x4 or any other size that you need. But, I love the collages. I am still learning the program. But, I was able to print out some of my photos from the weekend. The great thing is that I did not have to spend any money.

These photos were taken on Saturday at the American Indian Festival over in the next town. It has this fabulous Indian Museum and the Mounds is run by the University of Alabama and it has save the Indian History. They have done archeological digs on the Mounds and most of the artifacts in the museum for found right there. I think that it is such a great thing that they have done to keep the history alive.

Well, that is my desk this week. I will be out to visit as many desk as possible this week.

You will be glad that you did. Once you start visiting other blogs, you will want to do it every week.

This week on my desk is some scrapbook pages and some new project life kits that I recently bought. You can see my new video setup that was really inexpensive to make and it gives me that great overhead view.

WOYWW

Time for another WOYWW (WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY). What it is you ask? It is the worlds biggest desk hop. Where is you ask? check out the Stamping Ground where the lovely Ms. Julia is the hostess. Where you can get a look at desk all over the world. It is a chance to get a look at what other crafter's are  up to. I was missing in action for a while, but I am back for the second week in a row. This week on my desk are some items that I have been pickup over the last few weeks.

I have started scrapbooking again and I had to have a few of the new Heidi Swap products, some 3x4 cards for project life and a few other goodies. And then I won a challenge on YT and that large bag of buttons is a part of my winnings. So many buttons and so little time to use them. So, this is my desk this week. I have not had much time for crafting, but I need to get busy. I have to make a card that I need for Saturday morning.  Happy Wednesday to everyone.

Well, life certainly knows how to shake us up when it wants to. Since the anniversary WOYWW and swap, I have been a little under the weather and unable to do much more than look at my computer, I am now using 2 inhalers and have taken more meds in the last 10 days than I would normally take in a year. I missed work most of last week and finally was able to return on Monday. I hope to be back on track really soon.

I received the ATCs that I got from the swap and here they are. But, first I would like to thank all of the wonderful ladies that swapped with me. I want call all of your names, but when you see your ATC in the photos below you will know who you are.

Heather, thank you for the lovely card and the wonderful keys, I will be using them on a mini album that I am working on. I love all of the fabulous ATCs. Thank you so very much.

WOYWW 207

Once again, I have to ask where did the time go. I have accomplished nothing in the last week and my brain is working in overdrive with all of the things that I want to create. But, for now I just am going to show you my desk. Why you might ask? Because it is time for another What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday over at the Stamping Ground with the fabulous Ms. Julia Dunnit as our hostess. It is a time for world travel and a chance to see and get to know lots of creative people. Here is my desk and why don't you go on over to visit and see what I am talking about.

On my desk are lots of pieces for my ATCs for next weeks anniversary swap. You will have to wait to see the finished product. But, there is a film strip from Tim Holtz, lots of little pictures to fit in the film strip and my ATC base. You can see lots of tools for working with and my Kindle fire as I was watching a video while I worked.  So, if any of you ladies would like to swap ATCs with me, please send me an email at the address on my sidebar. I will be happy to swap with you.

This is a closer look at my pieces. Have a good week and I hope to see you again soon.

WOYWW 206

Hi all, not much longer and WOYWW will be celebrating their 4th anniversary and there is going to be a ATC swap just like last year. So, go on over and check out the Stamping Ground and the lovely Ms. Julia. She will give all of the pertinent details to the swap. I just love being nosey and checking out all of the wonderful blogs around the world. I working on getting more time to do this. So, if I missed you last week I will surely get around to you this week. I am still not feeling my usual energetic self. But, I am working on it. I will be making about 15 ATC's this year and If you would like to swap with me please let me know and send me your address through the email on my side bar. I love making ATCs and I love to swap them. Well, here is my desk this week. I have not been very creative and have not finished anything but a couple of cards. I started working on an album for one of my new customers. I have only finished about 5 pages. This one is going to be 81/2 x 11, it is for a wedding gift. So, it has to be wonderful. Once I get more of it together I will post a few photos. Here is my desk this week

As you can see there is not much going on. I ran out of my favorite chipboard and had to glue 3 pieces of a thinner chipboard together and that is why the paper pad is on my desk, it is covering the glued chipboard and keeping it flat. The pages to the mini I was working on last week have been punched and are just waiting for me to get a cover made and then comes the fun part. You can see my video camera there on the tripod just waiting for me to get some projects finished and make some videos.  But, that is it for me right now. If you would like to see some of my videos (here is the link). I would love it if you would watch and leave me a comment or become a subscriber.

WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY #198

Where did the time go? The week has just speeded by and I don't believe I have done half the things that I had planned to do this week. And here it is time for another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and I don't have anything finished to show you. Things are just not moving has fast as I would like. First, I am still working on the Vegas scrapbook, Another page almost finished, just have to add some more journalling.  But, there are still photos from 4 more days in the desert. The grand canyon and the valley of fire. Two awesome sites with lots of photos. But, this is one that is ready.

The Paris hotel ( I would love to go to Paris one day) and the Planet Hollywood hotel. I can't find the photo of the Venice Hotel, they actually have a gondola.

Painting some boxes (one a 4x4 box that I plan to use for a calendar) and a Balsa box that I am going to give in a RAK. and that container in from of the 2 bottles of paint which I am going to make into a pin cushion. I have covered it with 2 coats of gesso and hot glued some  glass rocks in the bottom to keep it steady. I hope to finish off at least 2 of these this coming weekend. I still have a lot of work to do on the calendar. I don't like the way that paint covered it is streaky on the outside and needs another coat of paint. Well, that is it for me right now and it you want to know why I am showing you whats on my desk, go on over to the Stamping Ground and ask the wonderful Julia. She is the lady who started the worlds largest blog hop.

Well, I am off to visit some creative blogs. Hope you will join us.

WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY #197

Well, it is not quite Wednesday yet, but I want to get this ready as early as possible. It is almost time for another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, with the fab Julia Dunnit our wonderful hostess. If you still don't know what I am talking about it is time to sit down at your computers and take a trip around the world to see what others in your field are working on. Me, I have been scrapbooking since the weekend. I am so far behind that it is not even funny. I went to Las Vegas in August 2011 and I have still not finished with my photos from there and the Grand Canyon. But, I am getting closer. I finished about 9 pages since Saturday.  They are mostly 2 page spreads. I at least feel like I accomplished something.

These are some of the photos from our shopping expedition at the huge outlet mall in Vegas. The shoe store we were in was just amazing. But, so was every other store that we entered. And the prices were really good. So much shopping and so little time. I just need to do the journally on these 2 and it will be pretty much done.

My desk is a mess at the moment but in the background you can see some stickpins that I recently made. Well, that is it for me. Stop on by the Stamping Ground and check it out. I will tell you that it is addictive and so much fun.

WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY 195

Good morning WOYWW, I am so late getting this posted, but I did not want to miss another week. It is time for another world wind tour of the desk of the world. So, if you really want to know what it is about go over to the Stamping Ground and ask our wonderful host Julia Dunnit. She is the one who started this. But, for me it is a chance to make new friends and to see a whole lot of creativity without leaving the confines of my own home. So here is my desk.

This is an overhead view, in the back is the new sign that I made for my youtube channel, Lovethapaper215. It is of course purple to go with my room and very girly with lots of flowers and bling. A new project that I am working on. It is a rather large tag and will hold some stick pins. I am trying to decide if I am going to do a stick pin swap over at Mini Album Scraps. But, first I wanted to see if I could come up with a good design. Still working on it. I have lots of pieces but have not got it put together yet.

This is a closer look. I did a little mixed media on the tag, I have used paper, ink, embossing powder along the edges, modeling paste and stensils, paint and now I am trying to decide how I want to put it together. So that is it for today. I hope to finish this really soon. Well, now it is time to go and visit a few desk. Have a great week.

I would like to apoligize to all of the ladies that I did not get a chance to visit a couple of weeks ago. Life here has been really weird. The weather is lousy and I am just not feeling up to my usual self. So, I am not getting a lot of time to create or sit at the computer. But, I am really going to try and do better this week.

WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY #193

It is that time again. What time you might ask, it is time for another week of spying on your crafty neighbors, time to get a peek at someones desk other than your own. The person we have to thank for this is Julia Dunnit from the Stamping Ground. She started this craze over 3 years ago and is a wonderful idea. I love it. I have made new friends and get to see so much wonderful creativity with leaving the comforts of my home. I get to visit the UK, Australia and lots of places near and far. And it doesn't cost a dime. The whole idea is if I show you mine, you have to show me yours. So here goes.

I bought a new magnetic board and decided to get it put up so then I had to move my purple boards over. I would love to have a couple of shelves underneath. So this is a work in progess and I don't know when I will finish it.

I finished the black and cream mini that I was working on the past couple of weeks and the only thing left to do is to decorate the cover. I ordered new flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and I am just waiting for them to come in. Once I get that done, I will be making a video to show the finished project. Now it is on to my Christmas album. The papers that I have used on this album is from My Minds Eye (a lost and found Christmas and one of the other Christmas packs). They go together so well. The pages are mostly done and I need to do my cover and binding. To the right are a couple of pockets and a flip page which will hold several photos. underneath the pockes are a couple of stamps that I am planning to use for cards. One is a background stamp and the other is a dress form that is just fabulous. Stay tuned to see what I do with those. Hope you have enjoyed the visit. But, I would like to apoligize to all the ladies that I did not get to visit last week. And I hope to get to more desk this week.

WOYWW 192

Hi ladies and gents, it is that time again, time to visit your favorited desk and to stop by Julia's at The Stamping Ground. Julia is the host of the worlds largest blog hop. If you don't believe me, stop by and check it out for yourself. You'll be glad that you did.

This is what my desk looks like. I have the beginnings of a card (all of that purple paper) for my daughters birthday and more of it for my granddaughters birthday all this week. I am so far behind. Then there is the image for one of my DT projects. Need to finish that soon. and 2 valentines tags that I made for other projects. soon to be added to my smash book. My Kindle fire is there charging  and you can see my WOYWW button there in the background. Those designer papers there on the right are some scraps from the mini album that I am working on. I am doing the last little details of pockets and flip pages. I have not worked on it as much as I should, so hopefully I will get it finished this weekend. Well, that is it for me this week. I am off to bed it has been a very long day and I have not done any crafting as much as I would have liked to.

WOYWW 191 and A FEW CHALLENGES

Happy Wednesday everyone, it is time once again for another week of desk hopping, it is the worlds largest blog hop and you never know where you are going to end up. What is WOYWW you ask. It was started by the wonderfully funny Ms. Julia Dunnit over at the Stamping Ground. It is a time for crafters and artist to come together and share what they love. You can visit England, the US Australia or almost any other country in the world. And you have never seen so many creative people with the same love for paper and other crafting goodies. On my desk this week is an almost finished mini mini album. And some gorgeous stick pins that I made just because I love them. Although I do plan to use them of different mini albums and cards. I would also like to apologize to everyone that I did not get a chance to visit. I just have not had very much computer time. I will do better this week.

The mini was orginally going to be an insert to a larger album, but it has so many flip pages and pockets that my daughter requested that I give it to her to use for photos from a trip she recently took.

Now aren't they just gorgeous. I love beads and these are just so much fun. The pins in the back row are 3 inches long and the beads are from lots of different places. I did do a video. And you can link to it from here. I would like to enter these beads into the following challenges.

WOYWW 182

Good morning or evening depending on where you are at this time. I am in the deep south in the US and I have to tell you that the temperture has dropped, the weather man is talking freezing tonight. That is just so hard to believe. But, that is not why we are here. We are here to be nosey and snoop around the world. The way to do that is to visit Mrs. Julia Dunnit at the Stamping Ground and check out some of the wonderful artist in the list you will find there. I love visiting the ladies and gentlemen and seeing what everyone is working on. Since I was off for 4 days enjoying the holiday and crafting there isn't much going on on my desk at the moment. I made several cards, starting making some gift card holders for the granddaughters who will be visiting me this year. and I started on a mini mini album (trying to come up with some ideas for Christmas gifts for several co-workers. So I am not going to show those just yet. They all visit my blog pretty regular.

So right now this is what is going on. My smash book is waiting for me to finish several pages, one is a picture of the ATC's I received in the swap at WOYWW and all of the lovely notes that came with them. I am also going to add a photo of the ones that I sent off in the swap. There are several other pages under that one that need to be glued down. In the background you can almost make out the Christmas tickets that I have been working on, I got a new set of Vintage Christmas ticket stamps a few days ago and I stamped some out and colored them to use on the gift card holders that I am making for the granddaughters. That composition note book is what I write all of the directions and notes on the projects  that I make. To the right of the smash book is the prototype of the mini album I am working on. It is small, but will hold quite a few photos once I add all of the pockets and tags. Behind the ATG gun is a thankful card that I made for several challenges. You can see it in the post 2 down from this one. Well, that is it for now. I can't wait to get started on my snoop.

WOYWW #180

Wow, I can't believe that it has been almost 3 weeks since I last went blog hopping and snooping. Well, my beach vacation is over and it really makes me sad. My craft show went really well, I so quite a few sets of note cards and Christmas cards. I made some contacts and got some orders for several individual cards which I have delivered all except one. All in all I have had a really great time, but I sure missed you ladies. I am going to keep this post short. So, if anyone out there reading this doesn't have a clue as to why I am telling you all of this. YOu should go over to The Stamping Ground where our lovely hostess Julia Dunnit is waiting to lead you on a trip around the world. If you would like to get a look at what others are doing and find some really creative souls, you are headed to the right place. I love this trip and I have truly missed it.

I lighting in this space was really bad and though I was not very happy with these photos, it is all there is. This is me standing beside the table displaying some of my cards. The table behind me had lots of Christmas decorations and jewelry for sale. I was the only one with cards for sale. But, there were lots of other goodies.

A better shot of the table. I had a really good time for the two days and I was asked to do it again next year. So, I will be getting started early and will be able to have a little more variety in my paper crafts. I had some of my mini albums on display and they got a lot of interest. I have to people that want me to make albums for them. I will be contacting the first person tomorrow. Wish me luck.

So there is not much going on at my desk this week, so that is it for me. I just wanted to get back into the swing of things. Now, I am off to snoop around and see what I have missed.
