Hi ladies, it is Wednesday and that means it is time for another week of "WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY". That's right it is time to visit with the lovely Julia at The Stamping Ground and it is also time to travel around the world for lots of snooping. You can visit others who are doing the same thing that you are and get a chance to see all kinds of creativity in different stages of being finished. There are some really wonderful artist out there and I love visiting as many of them as I can. So come on and join us. I must warn you though, it is a very addictive endeavor and once you start you won't want to miss it. Tell Julia I said hello.
I have had a very busy weekend. I am in the process of making cards and other things to sell at a craft show in just over a month. Well, I did get quite a few sets of note cards finished, but there are still more to make. I have not even started on t he Christmas cards. And, I also have orders from some of my regulars that I have to squeeze in. My daughter called and I have to make 4 cards for her and get them in the mail by Monday. She has 3 baby showers and a friend who is moving to another state. I have got to get a move on. But, right now I am here to show you my desk.
Well, my desk really looks like there is not much going on. On the far right you can see the new desk organizer that I bought over the weekend. Love it. It holds so many of my tools and I was able to take them out of the bag I had them in. and it revolves. There is a set of sentiments that I got from Michaels last week and a 7 Gypsies set which is new to Michaels. There are 3 stamps is that set, they say Blessed, Vintage and there is a swirl. Michaels has gotten in quite a few new items. So that is going to mean more shopping soon. so I must sale lots of cards. On the left you can see some stamped sentiments and more paper just waiting to made into cards. I ran out of the adhesive that I like to use on my cards so there is extra on the desk also.
I finished off 15 sets of note cards over the weekend. And need more.
This is a different view. My good friend and one of my best customers thinks that I will probably sell out of all that I make. She loves them and buys them for herself and gives them for gifts. The only thing I can say to that is from her lips to GOD'S ear.
Just a few more waiting to be put together and some to be bagged up. I am really spread out everywhere at the moment.
Well, that is it for me It is getting to be time to start checking out some other blogs. Have a good week and don't forget to stop by and join in the fun.

ReplyDeleteI love your new organizer! Isn't it nice having everything right at your fingertips?!?
I ended up labeling my Distress Inks because I built a little ink shelf for them, and then couldn't tell which color was which!! It works great now!

Love the organizer! I have one and went back and bought the center thing to hang stuff on. I don't know whether I like it or not! That is definitely a lot of cards! I have found if I need to make up some fast I use patterned paper that has def squares/rectangles and mount those on a mat and then on the card. Gives some different looks. Hope the sale goes well. Have a great week. Vickie http://okienurse.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteI could repeat what others have beat me to say about or I could use one word to describe your beauties - Fabulous!! They are so pretty and I love seeing the pile of them that you created over the weekend. You must feel so thrilled. I think that is a major accomplishement and you are handling all the "other" orders with so much ease. Girl, I need to channel some of that mojo!!!
Come play on my desk if you have a few minutes (I will understand if you are too busy).

You are an inspiration to me! I want to give sets like that as gifts and I've managed to procrastinate on doing it lol. I will now be sending myself to my studio to get to work! Thank you!

Your sets look wonderful, all the lovely colors, and packaged up so prettily. Angie is right, sets like these would make great gifts, so I'm guessing you'll sell them all at your craft show!

Your business is thriving! I love your new organizer, and all the new stamps--I'm thinking I better get out some Michaels coupons and go shopping! I was at Hobby Lobby yesterday, and discovered a lot of new things they are stocking in their stamp aisle--tons of stamps and new products, like a pink mat I really want. Here I go, printing out more coupons! I hope you sell out of your notecards--you deserve a pat on the back for getting so much accomplished! Hugs! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh at #99
ReplyDeleteHi Joy - you are busy indeed! I am just doing a few more desk hops before I hop to bed! You have tired me out! Your note cards look fab all packaged up and ready to sell. I know it is really hard work but I am sure it will all be worth it. I recently did a card class and made more samples than usual so I would have some cards to give at Christmas - maybe you should make a batch of baby and new home cards whilst you are making them for your daughter and you will add to your stall stock too! Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 65
