WOYWW # 175

Hi ladies, don't have much time to post this. I need to put in a couple of hours on getting things done for the craft show (it is only 3 weeks away now) and then there is the beach trip with my crafting friends (still need to figure out what I am taking with me and finish off the project have been working on for them. (that is 2 weeks away). I am just so excited. On my desk you will find more paper waiting to be made into cards. I have given a preview of the project that I worked on for my friends. But, since they stop by my blog on a regular basis, I just can't show the whole project yet. So, here is just a corner of it. So, if you are wondering why I am telling you all of this, it is because its time for another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. A time for snooping and a trip around the world to do it. It was started by the lovely Julia Dunnit over at the Stamping Ground and it is so much fun. I love checking out all of the wonderful artist out there in blogland. You can get so many new ideas and see so much talent without leaving the confines of your home. So come on and join. You will enjoy it.

An ATC made for my group. The butterfly is my sun....

this is just the left corners of the very large tag that I made to commemorate our beach trip this year. On the background I did a resist technique. I used a large faded text stamp from Stampabilities, stamped with versamark and heat embossed. Then went over it with distress ink. I will show the whole project soon. The flowers were bought on clearance from Michaels last year for very little money. I bought about 7 jars of the flowers. Well that is it for now, so come on and join us. You know you want to.

    1. Each year for the last 4 my crafting friends and I have taken a weekend to scrapbook and eat and scrapbook some more. for the first 2 years we had a cabin on the river that was gorgeous. Then last year and this one is the beach trip. We go to gulf shores, Alabama and it is on the ocean. Love it. Plus there is lots of good food and good shopping.

  3. Joy, you can come up here and we'll have our own WOYWW crop, I have plenty of food, but I think you might find Michigan a bit nippy compared to the Gulf coast! Maybe I'll come to the beach instead!! We have the same paper trimmer, I love mine, one of my best tools I think.

    1. It might be more fun if you go to the beach with us. I have family in Michigan and I am from Illinois. And I do not miss that cold weather at all.

    1. Belinda, I am so sorry about the calling you by the wrong name. I know better than that. Just chalk it up to not enough sleep and having to go to 2 meetings today at work. I will make it up to you.

All your hardwork in anticipation of both events is admirable, and no better way to be able to enjoy it than being prepared!
