EASEL ATC CARDS

Good morning, I am back with a project that was made for a challenge over at the Facebook group "Crafter's with Artitude". The challenge was to make easel ATCs. I had never even heard of this before and thought that I would give it a try. I searched YouTube to find out if it had been done before and yep, there it was. So, I found a clear and concise tutorial and went to work.  This is what I came up with. IT was really simple and lots of fun. This is a great way to display your ATCs in your craft room.

The papers that I used were from K and Company the black and ivory collection. I inked all of the papers with black soot distress ink. I just love the way everything looks a little vintage to go with the images.  The images are from a Graphic 45 collection and the bling is from Michaels the punch used was EK Success and the sentiment is from the $1 bin at Michaels. The red bling is from the Paper Studio. Well, that is it for today and I hope to be back real soon with another project. Thanks for stopping by.

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR FOR LOTS OF BIRTHDAYS

One of my goals for this year is to post more regularly on my blog. So far I have not done that. I am crafting, It is just making the time to post some of it. This is another birthday card, this one for a very dear friend.

The stamp set is Graphic 45 from the couture set #1. The DP is from My Minds Eye (2011) The card stock is Recollection and the flowers and bling are from  Recollections also. The  card base is the corrugated cardboard cards from Michaels. I stamped the image with momento rich brown ink and the image on the inside of the card is from Michaels $1 bin. I used a spellbinders label set for the inside, the larger size was embossed with the swiss dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug.. I really love how this card turned out. I will be back soon with another project. A video showing my card.

LOVE TO TRAVEL

Good morning, I just love the weekends. Time for some serious crafting. Trying to get ready for a craft show that is coming up in November. Not getting any work done this week and really trying not to stress about the situation. The craft show is being held for two days and I don't know if I am going to have enough for one day. Must get lots done over the next few weeks. But, enough about that. My personal photos have begun to pile up once again and I really need to get some scrapbooking done also. So, I have several pages that I have done from my trip to Vegas last year. Yes, that is right I have not gotten close to being finished with that book. I am so far behind. Anyway, this page is like the second page for my scrapbook.

I liked the paper and the Kenny K image is just ready to travel. She was colored with copics E11, E13, E21, E09, N2, N4, B21, B24, B12, B14. She was then cut out and popped up on the luggage. The other tags and words are from the paper line which is world travel by DCWV, The tickets and transfer tags are from the trip and the camera was stamped twice and popped up. We did have a wonderful time. Well, that is it for this page. So many more to get finished. I do have a few challenges that I would like to enter this into.

TILDA BIRTHDAY PARTY

Good morning everyone. Before I get to my post for today, I would like to ask that you say a prayer for the town of Tuscaloosa, AL. This is where I live and on Wednesday evening a mile wide tornado touched down and wiped out a part of our city and killed many people. I am ok and my area has no damage, but I have not been to work because the lights are still out in that area and although the company property has no damage there was damage at other companies surrounding ours. It has been a very sad and traumatic time for everyone. This weekend I plan to go out and try to help with the clean up or to help those who have lost everything that they own.

My card today is another birthday  card, this time for a 12 year old who is the granddaughter of a friend. The image was colored with copics E00, E11, E13, E23, E25, RV0000, RV11, RV21, RV63, spica blossom and pink glitter pens.

Other products used:
The Paper Studio
Momento Ink
Spellbinders Nestabilities
Magnolia (Tilda)

THANK YOU SO MUCH

Good morning, first I want to make an announcement. I reached 160 followers... WOO HOO.... (as I show excitement) As I said yesterday, if I got to 160 followers, I would add another prize to the candy. Now there will be 2 winners instead of 1. The second prize will be kept a surprise just because I don't have a lot of time today for taking the picture. But, know that it will be great. Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments and making my anniversary so nice. There is still time to get in on the drawing, it does not end until November 19, 2010.

Now, I do have a card to post. About a month ago my friends and I went on our annual scrapbooking  retreat. This is the retreat where last year, I made my first card and became aquainted with Copic markers.  And don't forget, I was not impressed with either. (Now look at me). Isn't it amazing how much can change in a years time? Anyway, last year we bought the owner a rocking chair to thank him for giving us his cabin for the weekend, free of charge. (This cabin is not your usual cabin).  This year, we cooked him and his wife dinner and took it to them and served them. But, my friends asked me to make him a thank you card. Not my usual style of card with lots of bling and flowers and ribbons. This card had to manly. Well, I decided to use one of the photos that I took of the weekend from their outside deck. The area is gorgeous. The cabin sits right on the river and the view from every side is awesome. So here is my thank you card.

The card base is bazzill, the DP is from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment stamp is one that I bought on clearnce some where. The fall colors of the paper were a great choice. We all signed the card on the inside and I stamped a wonderful thank you sentiment. We mailed him the card so I don't know if he liked it or not. The ink used to stamp the senitment was Momento. Yes, there are challenges, though not very many.
